I listened to this song as the first track on Rogue Rock a few years back after hearing a Rogue Element remix of Badass by TCM...from the first 20 seconds, my jaw dropped and I knew I would be buying / listening to A LOT more Rogue....this guy is nothing short of a sonic genius.
Drum n bass is 172 bpm, breakbeat is a bout 150 (i think) and dubstep is alot slower going down to a bout 30 but it can vary. All have heavy basslines which puts them into the same group of genres. Its all good stuff though! hope that helped
@hobbitman123 : Breakbeat is drums of funk music, it's about 90 - 120 bpm. Big Beat is the kind of music you are hearing (120 - 140 bpm), it comes from breakbeat.
Drum'n'bass is about 160 - 190 bpm (not only 172), and dubstep is 140 bpm half-time tempo, so it's 70 bpm..
@areyoufunky yep mate pretty spot on though breaks true operating BPM is around the 130-136 but yes as you say can be anything round the 110-120BPM mark anything less is hip hop/glitch etc. soz to be a pedantic pain in the arse, but the scene has been killed by prod's making kick snare kick snare so they can sell to the tech funk/electro house crowd. All well and good just don't call it breaks. Ribs & IG88 etc..that's breaks..nothin personal of course..
Back when Rouge Element was awesome, then he went shit :(
