When I first played Silent Hill 1 I was so involved and eventually frightend I couldnt play the game with the lights off or alone in the house it truly was an excellent horror game I had to play it to the end though just to see what happens next and when the end credits bagan to roll I felt a real sence of relief and accomplishment. Well Done Boys !! you scared the crap out of me !!.

I think all the monsters in Silent HIl 2 are not at all scary, not one bit.

All of them, except for the ones in the prison cells. The only ones you can't see at all and make some walking and grunting in the top cells.

Holy shit at 25:35. You can actually find comment where I said the exact same thing about what makes Silent Hill 2 scary in (I think) one of Fungo's videos, about 3 years ago. And I swear this is the first time I see this making-of. In that comment I tried to define what are the things that made each Silent Hill scary, being:

Silent Hill 1, it's the audio.

Silent Hill 2, the things you can't see.

Silent Hill 3, the visual expression.

Silent Hill 4, what you cannot kill.
