  • The sooner we invent a practical flying saucer the better.

  • were at touch down everyone out were late doors open flight attendant ''oh shit do not get out!!"

  • I love hearing the engines rore up, I am training to be a flight attendant atm

  • lol.. o rui santos era spotter antes de se dedicar a sic noticias

  • @lisbonman tottaly agree!

  • i bet the toilet was busy afterwards

  • @13megaprime LOL. could not agree with you more hahaha.

  • @mke15 lol :)

  • The sound when he throttles up. Oh god. It's like porn

  • @j0mp4m4n porn is better :)

  • And thats why you don't fly !

  • nice Pilot!

    love windy landings!

  • Control Tower : I said you are cleared for landing

Plane Pilot : Will you just shut the fuck up!

  • lol more like disturbing landing

  • Pilot made a good decision to go around.

  • he was very late taking his decision !!!!!!!!!!

  • that's a crosswind landing, an attempt to land which fails cause of the bad weather.

  • NOOOOOOOB PILOT

  • @Swivel856 No.. You are a noob for saying that

  • good job

  • this planes pilot was the father of an ex-classmate of mine

  • That's a superb job of recovery from a really tough situation. That could easily have killed everyone on board.

  • dang...when that plane went to full throttle it sounded like it was ging into hyperspace or something...the plane pulled back, slowed down, then just WHOOOSH!!!!!!! when the plane was at landing speed...

  • How and why do they always wait it out so long? Think ahead.

  • @VIR092 its harder than it looks

  • @stockedmuscle

    No offense but...

To a point it is; this a certified pilot with months of training, he should've judged this before starting a go-around with that low of altitude...It's simply too dangerous, we're talking about a 90,000 pound twin-jet here...

You don't go brushing the grass with the wings, right? Right, you do not.

  • @VIR092 There actually are rules that you have to be established on a stable approach at a certain point before landing. But if you're stable at that point and then a crosswind gust tosses you over at the last minute, then you have to be quick to make that last minute decision to go around. That's pretty much what happened here. Came in as stable as possible for a crosswind, and lost it at the last minute. It took skill to do what he did.

  • @VIR092 It is called crooswind, smart ass, that' s how pilots are trained to do.

Search when you don' t know, this is how you learn.

  • @motardkool Pardon moi? What the hell is "crooswind"? I've heard of "crosswind", but not that elementary term. You don't know jack shit you stupid bozo, go somewhere else and bug people. Leave it up to the professionals.

  • Comment removed

  • @motardkool Hmmm, that's funny - I'd think a professional pilot like yourself as you say, would be more forthcoming and polite but I guess not. Too bad...

By the way I'm not a "young boy" asshole.

Oh, and keep your militant views to yourself ninny.

  • there go butterfly into the stomach

  • Freaky experience for the passengers! I wonder how many fingers were left, sunk into the arm rests !? As advised by @filipescp1983 down below, go watch this vid, search on " Low pass turn Portugal Airshow 2007 " assume !!

  • if i whuzz in that shaking plane i would have doing 1+2 i would b doing number 3

  • probly to fast and tried to slip it or just cross winds

  • crabbed approach... right wing up, 'oh dear that was unexpected' left wing up, 'hmm...' flaps t ostage one power on full phew

  • Excellent decision to abort that landing, on the pilots part. WAY to risky in my opinion.....!!!!

  • oh my god that must be terrifying!

  • squeaky bum time for those onboard.

  • barbozinha! quase sinistrou

  • TAP Airbus A310 Low pass turn Portugal Airshow 2007, Evora...must see

  • TAP(Portuguese airlines) is one of the safest companies in the world..only one accident in 1977! Portuguese pilots rullezzzz

  • Holy Shitt! Full thrust at 0:29

  • that sound is amazing!

  • fun, i love bumpy rides and extreme turbulence

  • you can tell the pilot pushed that throttle damn quick.

  • Lets see you fly that :)

  • scary

  • I would've had a wee in my pants

  • ahahahahaha lol, me 22222

  • The decision to go-around should be taken earlier!

The Plane has already begins to wave.

  • the crosswinds didnt seem as violent until the plane was about 10 feet from the ground, so there wasnt enough time to think about an abort, a landing seemed possible. but afterwards it just went crazy, thats why he aborted promptly after first attempt.

  • ähm... when you're landing at this weatherconditions you should be prepared to goarond at anytime!!!!!!

  • c'mon, its a bit obvious that he had a go around on the table of options, right from the time ATC told him the wind speed. but you still try one attempt at landing before declaring a go around.

  • ....damn! i wonder how much piss they had to mop up off the seats....

  • Jesus Christ that pilot is gonna get those people killed.

  • It's a cross wind landing...you go in crooked so you don't get blown to the side and you touch down straight... The wind was too strong though so he didn't touch down in time so he pulled up and went around to do it again.

  • well you can actually touch down crooked, but must straighten yourself very quickly before front gear touches down and plane is fully landed. you can see this in the A380 crosswind practice landings.

  • Exelent pilot! right decision. Congratiltions.

  • ah, i bet nobody clapped this time!

  • im not whining, but... i just want to give you a heads up... the title, it should be ''go-around'' not ''turnaround''

  • he tried to land with the help of crosswind but it didnt helped anyway....

  • i wonder why he didnt pusch it 3 sec earlier.

  • That wasnt even a touch and go, lol

  • it wanted to land, but then it decided not to.

  • IT wanted to land,

    IT decided not to,

    pssst.....there's a little person inside,flying IT.

  • wow thats really freaky indeed but where is the landing part? glad I wasnt on board of that plane

  • wow i thought i had experienced turbulence!

  • Yeah, pretty freaky LANDING considering he didn't even land, there's nothing freak about strong winds making a plane unable to land.

  • Chill out 'HugelyBig'

  • The airline is TAP

  • My hat goes off to the pilot. That was a strong crosswind. I would probably have crashed if I'd tried to land in winds like that.

  • Why? It was not his fault. That was some really bad crosswinds. That pilot is amazing. He managed to save the plane, and in those conditions it is not difficult to crash. So why would you sue the airline? *Sigh* Another redneck who doesn't know anything about flying

  • you cant controll the weather bud. Its all apart of flying

  • imagine standing next to that i would probably go deaf

  • I would have shit my pants right there...

  • either the pilot or the approach personnel is garbage because those planes can handle 40+ knots of crosswinds so either they got their winds wrong or the pilot needs to go back to flight school

  • The amount of crosswind that a plane can handle, has nothing to do with a missed approach. If the conditions for whatever factors are unsafe for the landing, then a go-around is a smart decision. Remember, its not that black and white..passenger comfort is paramount, and pilots are monitored on this..he may well have saved his career by choosing to abort the landing..as crappy as it was!

  • wow dude it doesent matter how much a plane can handle. you have to factor in visibility so that you can plan on how you are going to approach from miles out. and by the looks of it visibility wasent too great. plus you cant just fly straight into the runway. Even in 5 knot crosswinds.

  • Well if he failed the fourth time attempting to land he should have flown to another airport. but other then that great job

  • Amazing what the wind can do to 400 tons of aluminium/cables/engines etc.

  • the right wing almost touch the ground, gosh!

    imagine the mess

  • gz to pilot of that plane good job man

  • Woah that would be scary.

  • the name of the plane is ~the general lee~,,,

    yee haa

  • I bet a lot of passengers shit their pants when this happened. I know I would have.

  • woaw

The noise of the engine when the pilot gives full throttle us huge!!!

  • That's not a landing. That's a flyby!

  • no it was an aborted landing, he was going to, but the burst of wind made him over shoot so he had to do a flyby

  • that pilot has got skills

  • ...crazy crosswinds...

  • scary

  • omg are they ok?

  • i'd buy that piolet

  • wow, almost like that lufthansa A320 landing in hamburg. amazing flying skill by the pilot!

  • Worth watching,Nice video mate :)

  • Confused... Surely thats not a landing as they didnt land...?

    Surely a 'freaky approach'?

  • yeye, u're probably right. lets call it a freaky missed approach :)

  • I hope they got down later.

  • yer it is

  • its not easy to land in strong winds
