There's no doubt that Lucic lost that one but as for getting his face smashed and hiding behind refs give me a break. Lucic stood in there gave Orr some great shots and lost a fight. Orr certainly didn't knock him out and lets be real Lucic will fight like that and then score some goals and get some assists and Orr will just be there watching. Orr is a goon and Lucic is a hockey player and all that considered I think Lucic gave Orr a pretty good bout.
That's honestly not the case at all, Orr is a bottom six and doesn't have the same offensive skill level as Lucic but proved here that he has better fighting skills. He's very sound defensively and offensively. He would still be in the NHL if he didn't fight albeit in a bottom six role. The only other big scrapper I consider close to him in terms of skill is Wade Belak, who can play any position on the ice and still fight to boot.

I think his talent will continue to rise as he gets more experience and lets not forget that while he will get better at hockey he won't get worse at fighting. Bottom line is that most people only hate on him because he doesn't play for their team.

@girltant Umm you're kidding right? Orr is one of the most respected fighters in the league, and also one of the most feared. Lucic is a good well-rounded player, and can definitely handle himself. However it was silly of him to think he can actually deal with a true heavyweight like Orr. The fact he initiated the fight, then quit halfway through, is indeed an embarassment. He should stick to scoring and playing physical and leave the scraps to the big boys.

Lucic beaten down here for sure, and he definitely quit/hid at the end, but Orr is extremely tough, one of the hardest punchers in the league. Lucic plays a tough game too, but he's more of a talented power forward with an edge than a true fighter like Orr, I'm somewhat impressed he even fought Colton in the first place.

There's no doubt that Lucic lost that one but as for getting his face smashed and hiding behind refs give me a break. Lucic stood in there gave Orr some great shots and lost a fight. Orr certainly didn't knock him out and lets be real Lucic will fight like that and then score some goals and get some assists and Orr will just be there watching. That's honestly not the case at all, Orr is a bottom six and doesn't have the same offensive skill level as Lucic but proved here that he has better fighting skills. He's very sound defensively and offensively. He would still be in the NHL if he didn't fight albeit in a bottom six role. The only other big scrapper I consider close to him in terms of skill is Wade Belak, who can play any position on the ice and still fight to boot.

I think his talent will continue to rise as he gets more experience and lets not forget that while he will get better at hockey he won't get worse at fighting. Lucic is a force on teh ice, he's a game changer. He brings a fire and energy to the team and inspires the crowd. Plus he scores over 20 goals when he's healthy. Bottom line is that most people only hate on him because he doesn't play for their team.
