You really have to remember who the target demographic for this game it, it's for really young children, so they're not going to care about the foibles you bring up, but that's to be expected. As for the games, is it not possible to have the mouse and controller plugged in at the same time and use the controller when playing a game that requires it, or must you switch between mouse and controller when playing one of the games? Overall this looks pretty cool, kind of reminds me of Kid Pix.
@Lachlant1984 Good question about the controllers. I'm guessing you could do that since that makes sense. I just wanted the games to take advantage of the mouse. But yeah this one was actually surprisingly good when it came to the drawing and coloring that's for sure. Never heard of Kid Pix though.
@MN12BIRD What?????? Never heard of Kid Pix???? It was a popular drawing program for the PC and Macintosh, much like Mario Paint/ Fun And Games, but it was for the computer. I believe it was published by Broderbund Software. Maybe you were too old for it in the mid 90's, or maybe your school didn't have it, but I remember using it in 1997 in Grade 6 on a Mac Performa at school.
@Lachlant1984 Hrm kinda sound familiar in 1995 I was in grade 8 and we had IBM PC's with some Broderbund software. I know we had a painting program on them too but I don't think it was that one. It was like more serious didn't have much fun things in it that's for sure. But I liked playing in it. I mean it sure beat MS Paint. It was a DOS program too I remember that but yeah I don't remember the name.
man i miss the good old days with great games like zelda and metroid spent endless hours drawing maps of all the levels and tradinbg them with friends
nice i never seen the sega genesis paint program..i had mario paint...its the closest thing to owning "kid pix" lol..even that program had a "oh no" sound effect
@crammage Yeah I didn't realize that until I posed the video but as you can see I mention it in the description. Looks it did come out a year later on the SNES but it's probably quite rare to find on the SNES too.

I'm pretty sure the guy screaming in Earthworm Jim was a stock sound effect, I've heard it several times in cartoons and stuff.

How does this game compare with Art Alive, the other Mario Paint knock off for the Genesis.

Nice Review. Good coverage of the features. And your drawing was a nice demonstation.
Bet its a lot cheaper to pick up than mario paint do to its obscurity.
