  • *tuned not customized

  • Die zal wel lekker vaak bij het pompstation staan. Ziet er niet echt normaal uit. Of het is omdat het een rotor is.

    20b unit I assume?

  • Do you have parkinsons?

  • @KarlBryngelsson hahah

  • @ilovelife167 You should've punched your brother, for buying an rx8 ;)

  • Did you have a stroke whilst filming this?

  • ha i love how its next to a farari and its the one being showcased great job with it

  • Such a beautiful car. Still looks as cool today as it did in the early 90s.

  • what size rims r those?

  • recording suck balls

  • Did you toke this vid out of the plane window? Or on a cruiseship in heavy storm?

  • filmed it with a calculator ?

  • @DyslexuZ With a toaster oven, everyone knows calculators don't have cameras.

  • @TheGreatXanadu good point

  • @TheGreatXanadu no this was obviously recorded with a plastic cup

  • @DyslexuZ STFU man, the quality was good and it's not funny. Just cause it's wobbling, doesn't mean the quality is bad -_-

  • Give the poor thing some tuning <:O

  • Gorgeous cars just let down by the engines....luv the sound of them luv the power you get out of them but the fuel comp and the reliabilty of a rotary is a complete joke ~ 2jz anyday!! ~

  • that rx7 is fuckin NASTY!!! Rotary all day

  • Stick to your day job as videographer isn't an option.

  • bloody awful.

  • where you riding a horse when recorded this video??

I think your keyboard might be skipping dude

  • wenkal all day baby

  • dit verkloot een hele hoop benzine? ofniet?

  • lol the mazda thinks its a ferrari....

  • @TheDynoSoar No.. The Ferrari's are thinking they're Mazda's

  • Dear Santa... <3

  • lmao nice rims

    no not rly.

  • nice car, not a fan of the wheels though

  • Dutchies <3

  • My 1989 all engine CRX can do that in idle.

  • Is this just me or this video smells from rice ?!

  • @Juppie902 say that to my CRX. 250 all motor. It will rev at anything, we aren't scared.

  • @Juppie902 did you really just call a turbo 20b rice?

  • @JonNWiLLiamS7 Could be, everything is possible these days in this crazy world.

  • RX7 POWER!!!

  • I am a troll. I will bust on all videos on youtube and say all kinds of stupid shit even though I myself drive my mom's and dad's minivan. I personally have never drivin a car past 100whp, I do have a friends that have a cars and will smoke yours. I will use Google and the Wikipedia too look up facts and continue to troll on everyones comments. My opinion of cars is right, it doesn't matter what every1 else thinks.I know it all so don't argue withe me people. I'm right and your wrong. Thank you

  • flamethrower kit?

  • Felix Wankel would be proud

  • 20b's quard rotors

  • @driftkingisback2 thats 26b lol

    3 rotor is 20b

  • u realize u could've video taped a prius and have a better video

  • @italianswimmer2109 so why did u watch this? gtfo then

  • Needs an LS1 swap...

  • @originaldriver You sir, need a brain swap.

  • @abeepak1 LS1= better

    rotary= trash

  • @originaldriver we dont need 5 liters to kick your ass

  • @subifudriftkings All I need is for your rotary to have one good backfire to kill your apex seals. At that point, you'll be kicking your own ass.

BTW... I dont a turbo to come up with 550hp either. :P

  • @originaldriver what kills the rotary seals are either age, lean mixture, or heat... a bad tune is the cause of all this but the age... they now have seals that will never break so that means the age means nothing so if you have a great tune you never have to open up your engine again... well unless you have a bad tune and bend a seal... but if that happens you just bend it straight again and put it back together and get a better tune...

  • @originaldriver ok then take a 1.3l LS1 and try to get 550hp out of it, 550hp for a rotary is a walk in the park

  • @techartgt3 Ha ha...Thats a silly thing to say. XD "Power to displacement" doesn't mean shit when that "tiny" 1.3l is wrapped up in 400lbs+ of cast iron. (fail) A fully dressed LS1, 5.7l v8 hardly weighs any more than a turbo 13b/20b, and makes its power and torque without having to rev the shit out of it. Even gets better fuel mileage!

Gas mileage, torque, reliability (and best of all) most "bang for the buck"...Is there really any doubt as to why SO many RX-7's end up getting LS1 swaps?

  • @originaldriver uh the LS1 swaps only happen in the US im assuming due to the high availability of parts there. i havent seen an LS1 swap here in australia yet.

  • @originaldriver your v8 muscle cars weigh a lot more than say a rx7 or rx8, and handle a hell of a lot worse. which is the point of the rx7 and rx8 anyways (weight distribution and handling) so yeah i recognize that straight line speed= v8 muscle car but handling and lap times= rotoray

  • @techartgt3 I wasn't comparing cars, or even "v8s" to rotaries in general. I really like the RX-7, I just think that the rotary engine is a temperamental, gas guzzling, oil burning, short-lived disaster of a power-plant for a street driven vehicle

Aside from a freakishly high rev-limit, there isnt a single category where the rotary compares to an LS1. Not weight, not power, not efficiency and certainly not longevity.

BTW... where did you get the notion that having a V8 drops lap times???????

  • music at 0:15??

  • i'd take the rx7 over any of those ferraris : )

  • @71dime

ur stupid, u could take one of those ferraris, sell it and then buy a few rx7's

  • @Rasss1 not to forget that a 550Hp Rx-7 could easily eat up all those ferraris seen in the video :-)

  • WHATS WITH THE DISLIKES RX 7 <3

  • Damn you!! You know that people sometimes click on the screen to pause!

  • ewww. those wheels :(

  • I wonder how this managed to get more dislikes than likes.

  • prove 550bhp please. Show dyno run and printout.

  • @eecak1973 no need for that. If this is the FD I believe it is, it runs a 20B engine :)

  • @Ponkiizz a stock fd3s uses a 13b a 20b would be much better if im not mistaken a 20b is a 4 rotor motor

  • @nanashi1o3 20b is 3-rotor, a 26b is 4 rotors ;).

  • I got one on need for speed,i hope it wont react like this o.o

  • rims are kinda big....

  • nice

  • nice ferraris

  • id rather see the car infront the ferrari

  • Needs less rim.

  • how is that rice?

    that's an aircraft motor.

  • @thelocc786 jelly obviously

  • wtf is with those rims, ugly as hell, it does no justice to an RX7

  • lol, gay

  • Comment removed

  • @thelocc786 lol your an idiot, thats an 20B rotary engine and its running rich, thats normal with a that type of engine.

  • its alcohol in the exaust

  • nice ricer shit, they still live in 1990s...

  • nederlanders he gewoon geniaal

  • nic moc....

  • Wow, another rotary engine that poops flames from the exhaust. Haven't seen that before... :/

  • @ryansnider lmao I have an rx8 and I laughed too. Said the same thing! haha

  • I drove behind this car also that day, flames all day long :P

  • it's don

  • the flame is fake :\

  • its funny kuz its parked between two of the worls most renownd supercars and it kud fucking waste them for a quater of the price (including engine and body mods)

  • holy shit!!! what would cause a flame like that?

  • That is not simple bolt-ons. Thank you for making me bash a fellow STI owner. Make your points with experience, not numbers. Call your tuning shop next time. Any one of us will be happy to tell you exactly what you should say.

  • @ryonutz You are a racist prick.

  • It's called POTTSMELL!!! In the normal norwegian language.

  • 777 = 777 ? 50/50 <3

  • @goniboy10 now its 1 more likes :O! ownd!

  • poor FD..

  • for those who don't know all he did was put a spark plug in the exhaust to ignite the leftover fuel.

  • @tazdevilman1 not true. rotarys put out much higher exhaust temperatures than regular piston engines. once enough fuel is dumped through the exhaust, the exhaust temperature combined with the right amout of oxygen sets it off. ive already cracked the exhaust on my 88 because of too much heat near a weld.

  • fa schifoù

  • Evil M!

  • Chrome rims ruin it.

  • Full screen annotation stopped me from subbing...

  • Mmmm sexy 7s.

  • TUNER!!!! :D

  • FGS . Why don't u buy a stand for the camera , Filming from car is so bumpy u can't see a thing , when with the stand is briliant

  • hybrid

  • People are saying this car is riced out.. Are you.. Serious.

  • Pff, i can do that with my ass hole.. Just give me sum chilli sauce :D

  • @duhabcdef dirt

  • i smell burned rice

  • Sexy.

  • i love rotaries ! Anyone who bags them has never been in one !

  • 550hp with 250 ft-lbs i'll bet ahah.....damn wankle's

  • @911SHIZBO thats not possible; unless your RPM are 25000; Turbo engine would have to have High torque to make that kinda power; its set at a low compression spin the turbo. your theory only works with High compression non turbo engines that get all their power from the top end; in any case those engines don't get much power. You know I'm talking about Hondas.

  • @Harutmakina you have no idea do you... they only lower the compression cause your force feeding the motor with air and virtually raising the compression. and 911SHIZBO would be correct they make little torque in comparison too a diesel or 4 stroke piston motor

  • @TheTwoStrokePower Like I said; "its set at a low compression to spin the turbo" OBVIOUSLY the Turbo (how do I say this so you can comprehend) Raises the compression once it starts spinning; so in other words it Re-compresses the engine; is what I meant to say in the original paragraph; hence, why its a "forced induction engine" thank you for repeating my point; once the compression goes up so does torque and HP; HP works based on torque; so what were you trying to say again I forgot?

  • @Harutmakina Sorry kid but high compression low boost will always be superior to low compression high boost.

Low compression to spin the turbo?? you have no clue how a turbo works obviously.

  • @Harutmakina no torque is a characteristic of HP and engine rpm. hahaha arguing with a jr mechanical engineer dude im not hear to argue im just letting you know so you dont go through life with the wrong idea

  • @TheTwoStrokePower No here to argue either but I too am in engineering and you have it backwards bro; "nobody on the planet ever actually measures horsepower from a running engine. What we actually measure (on a dynomometer) is torque, expressed in foot pounds (in the U.S.), and then we *calculate* actual horsepower by converting the twisting force of torque into the work units of horsepower".

    This is the formula

    HP = rpm x T(torque) 5252(constant)

  • @TheTwoStrokePower again; HP= RPM*Torque/5252(constant)

  • @Harutmakina are you kidding me theres 950hp B-series hondas! your trippin

  • @google1415 yea; those Hondas have a full internal set up with a custom block; they have been fully converted from N/A to turbo compatability; and you know how much that costs? you're looking at 10 grand just for the engine alone. You could of course slap a turbo on a Honda stock honda and replace the engine every 3 months that works too; or you can throw the honda in the trash and get an EVO or STI to where you get reliable massive amounts of power with simple bolt ons

  • @Harutmakina you can get mad bolt on power with K's too. honda has a wide variety of engines that have all the same capabilities as any other import. also if you got 10 grand to drop and wanna make a beast honda thats fine when its gunna take 10 grand or more to get an sti or evo period. and parts are more expensive on both those vehicles. your honda diss argument is weak so jst quit hatin

  • @Harutmakina Any car can be made to go fast. I like Evo's better then honda's but you can go buy a crx but a b18c5 engine in that with a g35 turbo and that will destroy and mildly modded sti or Evo. Honda's generally always have one thing going for them and that is power to weight ratio.

  • @N3verShoutAlways Any knowlege you displayed to me right now has been feed to you by the car media; I've been in this game for a long ass time; I've had some sick cars; my current one a 07 STI; and I know about the engineering aspect of things;if you put a turbo on a stock honda say goodnight caue you might have broken engine pieces flying at you; the engine will not run more than 7 PSI; in order to beat a STOCK STI you need at least triple that boost from a B18

  • @Harutmakina A b18c5 engine is a type r engine. You can run 7-9 psi without doing the internals. but you are going to have around 300+ hp for a car that weights so much less then a sti. It will destroy a mildly modded sti/evo just because the power to weight ratio. I mean a crx weights 1800-1900 pounds... While a sti weights 3400... So I mean you may be AWD but the little crx will just take you.

  • @N3verShoutAlways Yes you are right in some of what you say however here is some info for you; the current generation STI weighs 3400lbs yes; which is why I despise the current model; not to mention its the ugliest thing I've ever seen; However, My STI is a 2007; it weighs 3100lbs; it will destroy the new STI at any given day. And the STI before mine, 1998-2001 only weighs 2800lbs with the same engine; this is something subaru does not want you to know.......cont.

  • @N3verShoutAlways My car is mildly moded with 390HP; with the stock internals I can get a reliable 550HP using simple bolt ons; in comparison, a Type R can get a max power of 330HP reliably with stock internals using forced induction; my car can get much more but thats not the point; I spent only $1500 on my car's tuning. I have raced a 330HP Turbo integra type-R with 7psi boost and won by 5 cars; for 2 reasons; AWD got him off the line; once I got going the higher HP got him in the long run.

  • @Harutmakina Yeah that's a integra. Like I said I am into evo's and I was in my friends whose is also mildly modded and a CRX took him. I am not saying all honda's can take Sti's and evo's just certain one's(Crx,Del sol,NSX, etc) with the right power to weight ratio. Like you said with stock internals it still has less hp then you BUT like I said the crx weights almost 1500 pounds less then you...

  • @N3verShoutAlways A stock CRX weighs between 2200 and 2500lbs... Thought you should know. @Harutmakina You said Higher horsepower got him in the end and that youve been in this game a long time... If you've been in the game for so long why have you never heard of parisitic drivetrain loss wich nulifys the higher horsepower? And you are not getting a reliable 550wHp out of a EJ25 without at least pistons, rods, head bolts, fuel pump, injectors, E85 or Mehanol and, a GT42 or equivalent turbo.

  • @CPLKloewer

    1984 1,819 lb (825 kg)

    1985 1,819 lb (825 kg)

    1986 1,819 lb (825 kg)

    1987 1,865 lb (846 kg)

    1988 1,922 lb (872 kg)

    1989 2,048 lb (929 kg)

'90-'91 2,103 lb (954 kg)Those are the weights or Crxs. My friends Evo is tuned for e91 and e100. I never said i have been in this game a long time. I think you responded to the wrong comment this time haha.

  • @N3verShoutAlways Hopefully you have realised by now that I was refering to Harutmakina who is also claming to have sub milisecond shifts... And your weights are dry. So add 260Lbs for your fluids and all will be well! ;) Your buddy owns the car, why the hell are you even talking about it? Its not yours to talk about! And I was referring to an STI for the upgrades. If you are running a GT40+ on a honda you had better have some nitro pre-spool or you arent going to beat ANYONE... EVER...
