  • The hill is Moel Arthur and is between the towns of Mold & Denbigh-N.Wales.

  • @dylanvine why does denbigh have no meaning in any language? i think its named after some elite lord from abroad......dinbych on the other hand means small fort...makes sense to me

  • does anyone know where this video is filmed (on top of the hill)????

  • Total stars. Ritzy is a complete inspiration, her take on life is something worth paying attention to! Such forward thinking music, we need MORE!!!

  • I am from the states...heard it on a playlist....love the song Whirring.

  • Please save your elongated critiques for the next column(s) that you write. Enjoying music, all kinds, should not be this complicated! My gosh!

  • thumbs up if you never read long comments other people leave on youtube

  • Wow, is that what Welsh women look like...damn I love Crazy Eyes

  • 89.3 the current, Twin Cities MN=greatest radio station ever!!

  • They're the Welsh "Pixies" - Lovely sounds, please keep them coming - I'd love them to put some Welsh words in every song (Frank Black put numerous Spanish words in his songs and CSS ditto with their native Portuguese). Lots of good Welsh bands around so lets hear a bit of the language - remember early Cocteau Twins songs? Liz Frazer made up her own language - no one minded. It'd freak the Ameriacn market out 'tho which is maybe the reason they don't do it - Shame!

  • Mae fersiwn Cymraeg o Whirling. Chwyrlio yw'r enw. Edrychwch ar rhestr y 'Related Videos'.

  • diolch yn fawr iawn

  • @mrj8239 Don't label me as "that guy", but here in the States many people speak Welsh. In fact, there are over a dozen recognized Welsh language and heritage societies throughout the country spanning from the north east to the south west; not to mention there are SEVERAL eisteddfodau happening throughout the country; the most prominent being in Portland, Oregon I believe. Not everyone here speaks the language of course but many people are more than willing to learn it or at least appreciate it.

  • @ProphetWolf That's good to know - so it's not just a pampas community in Argentina who sing "Glan Rhondda". But my larger point was that if "Foreign" bands don't sing in English, they don't get the worldwide recognition - would ABBA have been as big if they'd sung in Swedish? Not singing in your native tongue must stiffle some lyrical creativity (although Welsh speakers are bilingual) but there's the spiritual element of expressing yourself in your own language and not one that sells records.

  • @mrj8239

    The Joy Formidable - Chwyrlio

:> i think its theWelsh version of Whirring

  • They're amazing.

  • WHIRRING IS AN AMAZING SONG! i love joy formidable and austire is incredible too! x

  • @scaleshchess this shits not depressing lol, i came upon them by searching for an austere song haha. check out austere now thats depressing

  • @YourRoadToHell you know, I did as you said and I find the band Austere much more uplifting than this crap. any more suggestions?

  • @scaleshchess lol if Austere is more uplifting to you then this, you have an interesting view on music. if you find Austere uplifting youll probably find Thy Light uplifting too, or even Xasthur. I guess its all subjective.

  • @YourRoadToHell Oh my goodness, I found the "Austere" video on iTunes (it was free, so I got it) and now I'm so hooked on them they've overtaken my Led Zeppelin collection! :D Joy Formidable is awesome!!! :P

  • @GintokisGirl95 naaaa the joy formidable are not better than Zepellin... ok it's just a furtive action... but Zepellin will retake their holly replace after a few month... man if you like Zepellin you should try other "Swan song" records as Pretty Things "Savage Eye"(76) , Bad Company's "Run with the Pack"(76) or more surprisingly Detective "Detective" (77) ...they are all friends of the Zepelin army & jammers... sorry if you already own those records....

  • @BohemianConspiracy I love Zeppelin, yes. But I have so many of their songs that the Formidable can rival it. lol But I've never heard of those bands with the exception of Bad Company...I guess I'll check them out, thanks! :D

And I am a true Zep fan, I have an audiobook that talks about their 12-year stint, and all of their albums are on my iPod :P

  • @GintokisGirl95 ...mmmhhh but Zepelin' 2 last album are not that essential... in Presence there's 2 excellent tracks but the rest is ... not better than an average band (xpt Nobody's fault but mine, and the Iceberg "Achilles last stand")... Until 1975 Led Zepellin is at the very top... and i'm not the only one to think about it... but in 1976 ... The Eagles... Aerosmith... Camel or Rush ... etc...made better albums than Zepellin... i think...uhm... that Page was 2 drug- addicted !

  • Saw them at leeds fest, they were amazing, gonna be see'ing them alot more soon im sure

  • they played the camden crawl this year

  • They're awesome! :) I didn't know they were from Wales though.. i'm seeing them next month :)

  • She has big eyes. Lol. Look like an alright band though.

  • She's a sweetheart in real life. Very sweet and kind.
