  • Trouble is nearly every interview she's asked the same questions, so she gives the same answers that she's learnt off pat. It's only when she's asked the more unusual questions that PJ then has to dig deep

    watch?v=2S4hSZHNrsg

  • Fascinating to hear her talking about avoiding political song-writing, given her latest album.

  • the showman could not be more bored and less enthusiastic. Plus why do you need to talk about money? It is not necessary to look at everything as a business or business opportunity - even as an American :) (Sorry just living in the US as a European I encounter this a lot.)

PJ is an extraordinarily interesting person. Just got Let England Shake. Breathtaking.

  • Very Dobby-esque vibe in this interview. Keeping it real none-the-less.

  • note - silver booties

  • always gracious- always honest- thats pj

  • I love her shoes!

    (and her of course:)

  • Painfully gorgeous Human person thing....

  • punk and blues....?

  • Don't get me wrong PJ is so unique that as far as I'm concerned she is her own genre lol. But yeah, take Rid of Me, "Snake" is straight up punk, and "Ecstasy" is straight up blues. Those are just the most obvious examples. Everything she does is full of passion, so it's no surprise she is influenced by some of the most passionate music.

  • ah she's cute here!

  • It's worth watching just to see her silver boots.

  • pj is so dope

  • i think stories from the city, stories from the sea was her most hardcore record.

  • really? it was i think one of her most successful album but its more pop than all the other ones! i think dry or one of those albums are the hardcore ones.

  • I went to the same school as her, not at the same time but my music teacher taught her... shame it was natural talent and not our music teacher haha!

  • @ThomRogers which is the name of that school?

  • he was saying the title "correctly" - it's just that a lot of corny white people talk through their noses.

  • I love PJ.

  • dumb ass interviewer kept saying the album was ah-ha her...

  • maybe he thought she was an alan partridge fan!

  • heh bless her to bits x

  • polly married me <3

  • Godess.

  • Every now and again you hear her Dorset acccent coming through, especially around 3:18 onwards. Funny hearing a local voice on CNN.

  • ha yeah....oi think....

  • I'm so bored with PJ interviews, as she says just about the same things all the time, in all the same ways (though it would help if interviews asked better questions) .. but this one I liked for some reason. She seems more relaxed or something.

  • The boring David Byrne questions (and tone) made for a lame interview in three parts. The one posted by Teclo85 (during which there is no 'questioner', as I recall) I liked a lot; she seemed relaxed and enthusiastic, went into greater detail than usual, and even laughed heartily at the very end. Plus, her make-up and hair looked great !

This one I'm shocked she even did. A financial show? WTF?

  • I seriously think that it's just journalists trying to get more out of her because they know that she is a shy woman who believes that her story is her story alone, and she just gives them those answers because she doesn't want to go into any details that might give herself away a little bit, but still holds them off a bit.

She probably did this interview because she's not one who cares much about who is interviewing her and why. Proof that she's not a showy rockstar.

  • yes quite interesting

  • it looks she's in a job interview

  • hah, good one. yeah, it's weird. pj on cnn, whatever next.

  • awwh Polly! <3<3<3
