Doesn't it make alot more sense to assume that UV was responsible for much of atmospheric oxygen through splitting of 2H2O to O2 than cyanobacteria at the beginning or a combination of both? then after ozone layer formation it was solely cyanobacteria. thanks for the series.

Fantastic series! I knew quite a lot of this, but this is by far the best overview I've seen about the origins of life regarding the time-line and causalities.
