  • INTERESTED IN DOING AN EXCLUSIVE PIECE OV MUSICK FROM ''SLEEPCHAMBER''...SEE ''BITCH JACKEL CALL''....for GIGER....JOHN ZEWIZZ

  • as an ilustrator and designer, i find Giger a much needed way of guiding, as i believe i have same thinking in many ways. And I just fuckin love his way he done the artworks. All of them!

  • Um... Can people be *made* to go camping? I mean -- would that be wrong? ;)

  • I could only describe his paintings as "Macabre Bio-Mechanical Erotica"

  • "The paradise for me it's......the hell"

  • I'll have bad dreams because of the music, not the paintings!!!

  • i know they are evil but there is something so beautiful i just can't explain it...

  • one mans heaven is another man's hell.

  • genius, pure unadulterated genius. giger paints the picture of the world that we wish not to know. beauty. purity. genius. truth.

    greatest artist ever...

  • haha love how dramatic this video is

  • HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY ;-)

  • Is like inside the mind of a psycho

  • I am able to understand Giger`s English, but i can`t understand his German, and i am German!!

  • 2:31 That Alien Woman from Darkseed!!

  • @TheWONDERBOYZ1

    ahaha fuck that game

  • @TheWONDERBOYZ1 Yup. Ik and Uk from Darkseed 2 are hanging out at 1:56. Most of the artwork in those games seem to have just been random existing Giger pictures shopped together.

  • My favorite fucking artist... ever.

This guy is seriously my idol. Like a second father.

  • @xalener

    you're a fag

  • @Bulloxe4

At least you used "you're" right.

  • @xalener

You are an even bigger faget then I thought.

  • @Bulloxe4

    You fucked it up there.

  • @xalener

    Where? I didn't misspell anything.

And even if I did, only people with a serious shortage of meaningful human interaction would deem it noteworthy. But I guess people who still have idols when they're 26 and call them "second father" are likely in that group.

    Faget.

  • @Bulloxe4

What? OH! I ain't 26 man. I just typed random numbers in the DOB.

  • @xalener

    Oh, right, random number.

But tell me, where did I misspell "you're"?

  • @Bulloxe4

    Not "you're"

    "faget"

  • @xalener

Oh, right. Well bear in mind, english is not my first language. Anyway, to correct myself :

    "You're a faggot, or abbreviated to you're a fag"

  • @Bulloxe4

    Much better.

  • @xalener

    Oh, thank you sir

  • WOW!

If you have seen 1980's "The Twlight Zone" movie. The Little Anthony part. Upstairs in the house, he has a sister who is constantly watching the television. The only room, lighting, is from the TV. That blue/grey hue, drabness. Then they show you her face viewing the screen. Her eyes are totally full of fright. Her mouth...Well__see the movie. I'll bet a lot of people have the same reaction after watching this outstanding segment.

    Way cool!

  • ( the ideas come... somtimes from Rains) ....Did he mean from devil ?

  • Did anyone besides me just now find out how to pronounce 'Giger'?

  • another misunderstand person. i love his work.

  • Horror is the best thing. It invokes our primal fears and our best defence mechanism. It's like the runners-high, you get addicted to it.

  • Thank you for inventing biochemical art.

  • this is kinda disturbing, to me. but no one forced me to watch it.....

  • The human imagination is most likely the key to the truth through its expression.

  • I've seen too much comments about religion here, this is art! stricly art!!, and i like his art, religion have nothing to do with this, his art is beatiful... I don't know why these zealots are always misinterpreting surreal art.

  • Is this pronounced GEger or giger of course it is a4d2d0 still not real. Because I know which one.

  • I want to buy his paintings..

    They are so beatiful..

  • @SpedeCO2

You get to buy his prints. Because his real arts are real masterpieces, not collectables.

  • Kind of a cheesy video, but I looooooove HR Giger!!!!

  • Nice. I gess I'll go to the exhibition.

  • Such artistry, the oil paintings and sculptures are so pure.

  • This guy's art is the only art I've ever found interesting...

  • AwEsOmE!!!!

    ThUmBs Up.....x EvEeEeER!!!

    ;+)

    ;-()

  • This isn't interesting.

  • Watch my word: Things like this will happen. Fusions of machine with human, landscapes created out of that. Maybe that's why I like this so much. I can't get enough of his art I keep watching to it and it even inspires me.

  • H.R. Giger's paintings are some of the only art pieces I can relate to. He's one of my heroes.

  • im keeping my fingers crossed for you hans, that ridley scott will contact you for the movie Promethius.

  • if not for dark seed 2 does not know of the

  • Fantastic art work.

  • 26 ppl need to be transported to a reality of Hans' creating.

  • This vid's just wierd and creepy!

  • ...........beautiful.........

  • Giger sez" with my art I want to survive " as if it was only pictures... May be he'll print one day that , his work carrys one truth no word can lift up. Our fathers have known this earthly & diabolical paradise when whole nations were feverishly burying in the vast cemeteries of WW & death industry in last century. And our kids will experience the same ecstasy in the great massacres the tireless Morlocks' people is coocking us from Langley to Nahal Soreq. Giger will learn soon enough

  • The art is terrible, but at the same time, it is beautiful. It encapsulates hatred, evil, all sorts of wretched things, but at the same time, it only does so as a release of said things from the artist's body and soul. True artwork, even if it is disturbing and demonic.

  • I want a house designed by Giger

  • @deathtotheism So do i.

  • Sad to think that this art was used in the Darkseed games lol

  • nightmarish...

  • What type/brand of airbrush does he use? I know if you are as talented as Giger it doesn't really matter what type you use, but I've always wondered.

  • haha the Elephant sounds in the ambiance

  • Mad or genius?

  • @andraken Can either truly exist without the other?

  • Giger is one sick son of a bitch.

  • Ich liebe Giger's Kunst! Dieser biomechanischer Surrealismus ist einfach faszinierend und ich liebe sein Alien^^ Das ist Ästhetik pur!

  • what this music?

  • Im not sure if I heard right but it sounded like he said that women made him suffer and we worked it out through painting ?

  • I adore Giger's works.Why did he stop painting?

  • Hasn't Giger said that people do not see the sense of humor in his work

  • @Cybaret yeah apparently in the alien movie series the alien head was suppose to represent a penis or something, i dunno. Somethin twisted

  • I know a guy who has Giger wallpaper in his bedroom! And he cant understand why he has bad dreams. How could you do it? There are some funny people out there.

  • a lot of people have been inspired by his work of art. so even if he doesn't paint anymore his art still lives on through other artists.

  • What's the background song called ?

  • Funny, all the sex in his paintings you'd think he'd have a really hot girlfriend that he fucked all the time with dildos he sculpted.

Also, he AIRBRUSHES FREE HANDED. That's almost impossible to do.

  • I visited the hr giger museum in gruyeres when I was in switzerland. he was very talented and he created so many pieces of work. But the stuff he created was sedistic at times. there was a little red room with red curtains covering the entrance, there was a sculpture of a womans pussy and asshole repeated again and again. there was even a picture of and early version of alien with a penis coming out of his mouth. wtf There was so much references to sex in his work it was a bit to much.

  • Hauntingly Beautiful, it's amazing what he does with paint.

  • wow i really wanna room like that to draw in

  • great music

  • I thought the purpose of art was to inspire people? Who does this inspire, and what are they inspired to do?

  • @CaptainoIndustry

You must be new to his art. If you have read many of his books, they go into detail on why he does art like this. Firstly, drawing out his nightmares gives him a little relief from his night terrors. Secondly, his art is a warning to modern society, as many of his works depict future worlds ravaged by technology misuse, and how future humans need to merge with their technology to survive. He is also concerned with overpopulation- example: walls of bodies in his art.

  • Comment removed

  • what does he say at 2:16?

  • @matenzo "women"

  • "A boy's best friend is his mother..."

  • thank you so much to put this on!!!!

  • I love this guys stuff, it really envokes the imagination.

  • @theorabbit interesting dream, and compliments to hr giger

  • Dark ambience... extremely dark.... like the haunts of my mind

  • I am a Christian, so I naturally don't think very highly of HR Giger, but his art is truly AMAZING, I love it. It brings me back to my days as a child, and back to the thoughts, images and dreams I was experiencing from 7-13 years old as a result of a parents death. These thoughts are also what led me into the Occult and border-line Satanism, but I still find it fascinating. Since I found God, these things no longer try my patience, but I also miss being scared, for now theres no fears to face.

  • @a4d2d0 - "I am a Christian, so I naturally don't think very highly of HR Giger"

I know Christians who think very highly of HR Giger and even find Christian-suited inspiration in his works. Mr. Giger uses daring, controversial and (sometimes) disturbing imagery but he doesn't promote evil (or the 'border-line satanism' you mentioned) - quite on the contrary. Giger has shown through multiple artworks a deep respect for themes such as world peace, the value of life and the environment.

    Take care

  • @a4d2d0

    (1/2) Maybe you...

    a) haven't seen much of Giger's work (specially some of his older drawings).

    b) misinterpret surreal art.

    c) don't interpret surreal art.

    d) simply dislike shocking styles.

If it's the last case, all I can say is that if someone explores universal themes like global-scale pollution, overpopulation, war, despotism, technocracy or life itself in a shocking but non-harmful manner and if you don't like it because it's still shocking your taste, then just ignore it.

  • @a4d2d0

(2/2) I never saw Giger promoting dehumanization and, as for what you call demonic erotica, well not everyone reads it the same way you do. Pablo Picasso, Hieronymous Bosch, Giotto, the Limbourg Bros., M. Grunewald, Frans Francken and Stephen Hickman have all made horribly shocking or grotesque-looking works but I don't see anyone accusing them of promoting dehumanization, demonology or malice... "Clockwork Orange" is a shockingly violent film but it's actually critical towards violence.

  • @a4d2d0

    "Dehumanization"

Portraying futuristic worlds tempered by technological misuses and the merge of man/animal with machines is not the same as promoting dehumanization. Stating Giger wishes to "dehumanize" is almost like saying that Lovecraft worshiped extraterrestrials or that Orwell admired over-controlled despotic "Big Brother" societies or that Mario Puzo was a member of the Italian Mafia.

  • @a4d2d0 “Demonic”

    H. R. Giger doesn't "tell" us to adopt demonic/satanic behaviors and he himself describes his 'visions' as nightmares, not as lollypop dreams. Giger has 'grotesque', 'occult' and 'biomechanical' written all over him, but if someone wants to be an esoterically dehumanized cyborg engaged to an ET, don't blame it on Giger. The use of 'demonic' imagery has been used throughout History and 'depicting' is not the same as 'promoting' - HRGiger doesn't promote evil, he depicts it.

  • @a4d2d0

    "Those are Giger illustrations"

And what's your point? All the artists I mentioned had the right to portray shocking things but such right should not be allowed to Mr. Giger? Giger said that depicting his 'visions' is like an exorcism - This is neither illegal or unethical. Even if H. R. Giger was the biggest black magic voodoo makumba pro-satan witch sorcerer in the world, he should still have the right to portray whatever he wanted as long as lawfully and ethically (which he does).

  • @a4d2d0"Perhaps your just in denial to satisfy your conscience"

First, only people without a clean conscience need to satisfy it - I'm not that case. Secondly, I don't deny that Giger's works are frequently as beautiful as horrible - That's one of his main qualities. If I can see multiple aspects while some people can only see one then I guess I'm more open-minded. If I can see the ethical concerns of Giger behind his 'horror mask' while some people can't, it's not my fault.

  • @MdP2 Damn you know your horror.

  • @a4d2d0 You'r a bloody moron, you know that right?

  • @a4d2d0

    "I'm a Christian".

    That explains your stupid comment.

  • can someone please tell me what music this is????????? PLEASE

  • He is the best

  • Can someone tel me what the music is?

  • a good way to handle the bad things in your head. he realy holds the fasciation of evil in his pictures

  • H.R. Giger is a genius

  • Wheres this video from

  • He has been so influential over the last 4 decades and continues to inspire. Giger cracked open a passage to a place that has been explored by many artists, musicians, writers, film makers etc. His work is truly awe inspiring, he`s a genuine genius.

  • fascinating!

  • One of the best Artist of the History!! i love all his works!!

  • contra was really inspired by this

  • sick man

  • song?

  • I loved hearing him talk about his own work, particularly the way that it's not actually him, just things he's felt. I draw weird/dark things (but seriously not that well lol) and a lot of my friends are like "wtf that's so weird" and they probably think I'm weird too but it's just things I draw, not actually what i'm like.

  • Dare I say this?? does Giger paint demons?? its spooky stuff

  • to me, hes the BEST artist ever who brings out the subject of nightmares and darkness in art!! such a massive impact his work has!! you can love it or hate but it strikes a serious note in us all!! id hate to have his dreams!!!

  • I would love to own a H.R. Giger designed home, and inside that home everything would be designed by H.R. Giger.

    H.R. Giger sofas

    H.R. Giger table and seats

H.R. Giger Bedroom and living room

even an actual Ibanez H.R. Giger designed RG Guitar, better if its an Ibanez Xiphos 7-string guitar designed by H.R. Giger

H.R. Giger toilet...that would be the best thing inside the whole house.

  • @TooleralusAEnima I wouldn't take a single piss in that toilet without fainting.

  • @WTAWWR08 That's the whole point keep that toilet to myself

  • it's just funny how innocent he seems. He would make some nice pictures of Jesus, if we all would pray for him. :)

  • Can anyone tell me what the music is?..

  • Seeing him work makes me appreciate his art even more!!

I love Giger... One of my wishes is to tattoo one of his works

  • When you hear him talk about his art! he draws you in more!! has some very interesting views/ideas and feelings on things

  • The real genius behind 'Alien'.....(Scott, too)

  • Isnt it true that a real artist can make ANYTHING look good! So people say 'eerrr it looks so weird and twisted but I love it!'

  • I dont really see how his art has "changed", but personally I think that's a good thing. The problem with art is that, if there are many amazing artists like giger, that takes the preciousness away. I totally know how Giger feels, as my art is sometimes really dark and strange also. I absolutely love art, and my walls are covered with it. I know the feeling of the shame, it is just a result of contrasting positivity between the viewer and the creator.

  • 0:11 easily the inspiration for the final boss in doom 2 amirite?

  • insanely brilliant

  • Beautiful and Dark

  • this guy draw the beings of the lovecraft's books, then he create the alien inspired in the previous artworks

  • Brain Salad Surgery, gotta give props, best record cover ever, but i love jesus, sorry.

  • LooK for

    ZDISLAW BEKSINSKI

here on youtube- he is the Godfather of dark art!!

  • I don't know why, but I adore his dark and macabre work.

I still admire these biomechanical nightmares above all the other artworks I've seen in my life so far.

However, I'm a little bit bothered with the fact that I'm actually attracted to this stuff, 'cause I enjoy life so much; I would think twice about saying this is my style or something like that.

Yet still, I'm quite positive this work appeals to me.

  • Giger's work charms and has an incredible appeal and looks so real because he's a real genius. There are other modern dark artists, but they are likely only talents. There's a great difference between genius and talent-- talents are very skillful, but their imagery is only a result of temporal fantasy and vivid imagination.

  • Giger, on the other hand, is invocated by out of our world forces and is able to channel his visions and feelings of descending worlds and express them into art. Our world is just a layer in array of worlds. We all have memories of these worlds buried deep down in our souls and that is why his work looks so frighteningly real and like imported straight from another world, this is no joke.

  • Wow this guys art is amazing!!!

  • He is a genius

  • amazing i want to travel and see his museum so much!

  • nice video,,nice art

  • you can say he's mad, or he's a satanism whatever, but at the end of the day he is expressing the feelings from bad memories-that is all.

  • @negativethoughts - (interesting name :) Yes. I am a dark artist, and I dont mean dark fantasy, I mean some really twisted abstractionism and horror sometimes. You are correct. It is nothing to do with "Satanism" or personality. It is simply because the people around dont see anything positive about dark art, because they are weak minded :)

  • @SeriousIlya

:) Upload some pics and send them to me, I would love to see them.

  • wow this guys a legend! love his work.

when i feel trapped and anxious i draw weird shit (not a great as this tho lol!)

  • @shadymofo420 those were the precise words in my head, " Disturbingly beautiful." Wow we must have been on the same wave length.

  • Giger's dreams seem to be born from WWII 's german soldiers holocaust . The deep & steep drop from family life & love to the wide meadows of russian beyonds full of cadavers under grass tombs . The horror of the same young Russian & German brothers buried under the same nowhere . Those Giger images , watched after reading some testimonial books telling these times stories, drive me to what I imagin as German dream of death ,it's a deep evil & marvelous truth .

  • @GEOFFROYX You are opened my eyes

  • I just visited h.r. gigers exhibition at tampere finland and it was great

  • I like woman very much!!

I LIKE GIGGER VERY MUCH!!! FROM ESTONIA!

  • 2:19 "I like ___ very much" ?

  • Comment removed

  • if i was in his house i would be scared that his table would come alive and eat me.

  • that's always been a big theme in his art is the subconcious fear that men have of women.

  • "el paraiso para mi es el infierno" maestro wn

  • disturbingly beautiful or beautifully disturbing i cannot tell. perhaps both. also, his pronunciation of "evil" is funny

  • truly a genious master

  • the stuff of nightmares. don't know if anyone had picked up a computer games based on his art. it came out about 10 - 15 years ago. the company that i work for packed the game

  • @PaulsDungeons

    Dark seed 1 and 2

  • Hi thanks for reply. just got off google and found the name then saw your reply. the game had came on the pc, mac amiga and amiga cd32 [ps and saturn in japan]

  • WOW LOOK AT THAT ART...I mean this in a good way, is this guy tottally insane????!!!!!!!

  • @TheHorrorReviewer every good artist is! eccentricity breeds creativity

  • Blimy, if he directed his own horror film I think people would die in their chairs watching it. Love how unique his art is.

  • Imagine visiting his studio and he'd say "excuse me, I have to step out for a minute." He'd probably be upset that he would have to pay the maid extra to get the blood and gore off the walls...

  • First 20 seconds of this video: hired, no-existing for milions existances, truth about human nature and his sad life. We are drifting in emptiness, (except pure eternal sadness ). The man is evil one, and this is a hope. Without evil, we would be...I even can't really imagine this, I'm just still watching , still watching..

  • I dig Giger's philosophy on art - nothing is taboo. Props.

  • the only thing that's taboo in giger's art is sentiment - ahhhh... bless the little lamb

  • Comment removed

  • Giger's stuff is incredibly interesting. I love all his work including the art he did for Dark Seed.

  • His art is so "pure" and the music as well..

  • Comment removed

  • i have had dreams like this, not exactly night terrors but the walls seemed biomechanical, and there were these people with long heads like the aliens and they torture people with all sorts of machines, it was horrible!

  • @theorabbit Cool i can make a paint of that!

  • @theorabbit fuck yeah me too mate

two days ago I saw this woman in a dream. She was seated in a Giger-like chair, strapped by Xenomorphs and something was glued on her face and her face melted. She screamed and my view zoomed out and the walls were full of biomechanical hands, legs, heads etc. Dreams are the shit
