Unless you are on drugs or have a disability due to a traumatic brain injury, there's no excuse for a native born American to be so stupid as to be unable to pronounce the letter "R. " it's not nowath, it's north.

This uneducated hillbilly's accent is utterly impenetrable. It scares the hell out of me to imagine how many times a day she says the n word in public.
Her accent sounds fine to me. I understand her perfectly. I was raised in the south though. There is a difference between the written language and spoken language. I love it when people from the north take a vacation down here-they sound so funny when they speak. Lol
Apparently, Bill Cosby dedicated the first chapter of his new book to this incident. Amazing! Marcia Brody is my cousin, and she was at my wedding recently. She talks about this all the time.
@guitarzan927 - Exactly what I say. Racism is more perpetuated by a small faction of both minorities and non-minorities to try to make some kind of point. My friends are not black, white, brown or red friends, but my friends period, just as they don't tell people I'm their white friend.. Bill Cosby always has been a gentleman's gentleman.
ROFLOL! We need more people like this, unpretentious, sweet and loving. she obviously loves her family! I bet she would do anything for anyone! Bill handled her so sweet too! That was smurfy!
@vertexgo He done what real men do. He showed respect and in return he got respect. He is an educated man and a man with dignity. He has earned everything he has. And he will tell you himself to get off that high horse of I hate the white man. Get your ass to work and focus on you instead of bullshit that brings you down.I eat lunch everyday with white and black men. We all get together for holidays. We cook and drink nd enjoy ourselves. They are not black to me. They are my friends.Wake up.
I was born and AM being raised in Georgia, live in a swamp ....and I have never said NOUUTH.... honestly, wherever shes from haha xD she must have been in 1880.
@BenjaminKuruga Since you are from the South you should know that everywhere you go the accents from every region are different. I am from Charleston, and even though the accents are near as strong today as they were from the lady in the videos generation, there still are a lot of natives here that say Nuuuth. Georgia accents are totally different from South Carolina.
@slzabinski Yes I see you're trying to make a difference, but to me, this accent sounds very pleasant to my ears and also it gives you (me) a nice feeling. Maybe this is just me. Anyway, I wish I was born in the USA, especially in the south side.
Isn't it GREAT that this was all done without the need of censors!!! And, I'll bet anyone who watches it will laugh, whereas many of us see nothing funny about people who need to use foul language, discuss their bodily functions and sex life (or lack thereof), or berate others in order to get a laugh. Cosby can NEVER be topped!
It looks like people who live in North named Due West so that when someone asked in Due West directions for North, they can say that North is 90 miles south east of Due West. Then, of course, it is obvious that you don't go to South Carolina without a GPS locator.
It is not an ethnic slur, as some allege "asian" is preferred to "orientals" (literally: "easterners"). Orienteering is direction and location finding. They could have just as easily called it "Occidenteering" or (what are south and north in the orient occident naming convention?)
Geography, asking directions, and orienteering. Note: "orienteering" is a term they used in the scouts, describing use of magnetic north pointing compass, and topographical maps. Of course orient and occident = east and west. I think it referred to the expression "getting oriented" meaning learning where one is in relation to the geography, rather than "orient" as in east. For instance, you might use a compass to find north, and that would get you "oriented".
@raoul4 Part of the humor just comes from the build-up over the whole thing--she just doesn't seem all that aware of what's going on. At all. So when he asks if they drop the baby off (probably thinking with her, for babysitting) it's pretty surreal that her mind wouldn't immediately think that he means with her, the grandmother.
Same for the "where's the river?" thing--she's got some very particular ways of thinking about things. Very specific instructions in some things but not others.

All I have to say, is the same as you, she is PRICELESS!!!
Many of you may not be aware of why poor folks (often blacks) were often located on one side of the RR tracks and wealthier people (often whites) were on the other side of the tracks in the South. The reason has to do with the prevailing wind direction down south - out of the south. In the old days, trains were powered by wood and coal. The thick black smoke was driven northward by the prevailing winds, making the north side of the tracks less desirable - and a cheaper area to live.
