Not true, You put £10,000 in the bank, the bank lends out that money to others, who in turn lend out more funds. Your £10grand ends up fueling the economy by many tens of thousands. It's called money creation. Wealth is not a zero sum game.

I'll probably buy a Hyundai when my Lexus finally dies. I live in a 1100 square foot house, drive a nine year old car, clip coupons, and drink expensive wine.
