  • Can you please film the FEC Cab ride for Hollywood, Fl? I lived there before I always wanted to see how it was to drive the Train when I was a kid.. Thanks :)

  • At 4:25 isnt that bridge that goes by Ft Lauderdale Airport?

  • I live in FL years ago. I've seen FEC trains all the time :D

  • This is some fantastic camera work! Thank you! Looks like they could have been 2 tracks there at some point in the past.

  • @K5H13760 There used to be two tracks.

  • This is some fantastic camera work! Thank you!

  • Interesting!

    Wish it were sharper.

    Dislike the horn.

Was the horn valve only partially opened so that it is less loud?

Not needed loud at grade crossings with signals (o)=(o).

    Thanks for posting your video.

  • Really nice video man. Is That a GP40? Seems like you and the Crew had a blast.

  • superb sound, nice video... 5s from me

  • Very nice....From Chile, Southamerica

  • WHAT KIND OF HORN IS ON THAT TRAIN

  • RS3L

  • @CSXRP ftw

  • @jdoggybizzle ?????

  • @CSXRP rs3l for the win ftw.

  • are you the engineer how did you get up there?

  • That's the conductors posistion.

  • This is a north bound train.

  • Since the railroad owns the land under the tracks, does that mean it's the city's and town's that must pay for and are liable for the crossing equipment? Or does that depend on who owned the land first?

  • The railroad only has to provide cross bucks at a railroad crossing. If the city wants lighted crossing equipment, they must pay for it. Some crossings can cost up to $200,000 though. And, dont you think its unfair if a two lane road is four laned and the railroad has to pay for the crossings because the city wanted to widen the road?

  • The railroad pays to maitain thier crossing.

  • I've rebuilt a bunch of grade xing's, sometimes with state d.o.t.'s help. Who pay's, I don't know, as long as I was!

  • And the best part is that you didn't tangle up your hoppers with 141 in the curve at Airport. That's gotta be a good day!

  • Thank You for the ride and view. Cool Video.

  • Thanks for this video! It was splendid! Congratulations

  • Great video! Thanks!!!

  • FEC: Slow=No

  • You can tell that this was once a double track speedway.

  • cool!

  • I hope you bought that crew some dinner! Nice ride. Thanks again.

Worked at Crowley and passed by the yard multiple times.

    Thanks

  • Nice video Richard,

I worked at Crowely in PEV for a while. Saw some van flats.

I remember a few guys from the FtLaud yard.

    Thanks again.

  • hola flaco, muy bueno el trabajo que hiciste, yo soy de argentina. Que lugar es la filmacion donde la hiciste.

  • Great video. Do those tracks run on the east or west side of FLL?

  • East.

The FEC has been around for 112 years. The airport? Not so much.

The railroad agreed to move the mainline when the runways at Fort Lauderdale International had to be extended years ago.

  • Next do a video of crossing the Roseland bridge and capture all of Indian River County

  • What parts of Indian River do you want to see in clips?

  • I Saw an FEC in Delray Beach

  • I'll be checking out the FEC this weekend.

  • Rich, this is great. BTW, a few years back I remember NS used to make an intermodal mixed with autocarrier delivery to Miami usually in the evening reaching Miami around 8. It was the first SB reaching Miami n the evening. What was that all about? Was NS interested in expanding or what?

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I know where this is. and rail fann there often. Usually, Im there watching them assembling the mixed frieght that leavs in the evening. Now if we can only the same shot from the CSX on the West side of the airport; maybe one of the Q trains? Or perhaps from the local that delivers in the daylight from the Ft. Lauderdale location.

  • Nice Alerter btw.

  • Now we're go'in faster! YeaH!

  • gotta love those sweet RS3Ls! those horns are some of my favorites! Cha-la,cha-la-cha-la-cha-long!!!!
