On Tuesday the Maine House of Representatives voted 89 to 57 in favor of the marriage bill without amendment. With the Senate already on record 21 to 14 in favor of the bill, todays House vote means that the legislation granting equal marriage rights to same-sex couples is only two steps away from final passage. The bill needs only a second Senate vote and a signature from Gov. John Baldacci.
what a great articulation of not only equal rights and gay marriage but the importance of guiding a culture that embraces gay youtlh,.particularly now when we are painfully aware of the young boy who took his life that might have been saved had teachers interrupted the bullying. It's everyone's business and it's easier for us "hets" to step up and be allies. Nothing is on the line so why the hesitation? Loved seeing this on You Tube.. Thanks.
What was your first clue, alza3em17294? Gay folks deserve all the rights that straight folks have...We should be able to marry the people we love.
