One remembers Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, another great disciple of Radhu-babu, showering praises on Kalyan-babu both as a musician and musicologist during a lec-dem in ISI.

Sad twist of fate to lose such marvelous abilities.

@dams0001 - Kalyan-babu would have been quite surprised to hear himself labelled a musicologist! If you read into the statement, lavish praise for another performer's "musicological" abilities is a veiled attempt at undermining their performing abilities. K told me several times that he found these public displays insufferable.
