@gillesaaa I've seen Marty Jr on tv as Ronny. I had the good fortune to see Marty Sr. about two months before he passed. He put on a great show at the Penn National Raceway near Harrisburg, Pa. I have some great photos I took that day. Does anyone know How I can get in touch with Marty's family to get copies to them? I believe these might be the last pics of him in concert.

I disagree konwaruk. Ronnie himself would probably tell you that his Dad was simply in a different league to everybody else and that he just wasn't blessed with his father's magic, albeit it was quite a capable singer.

What a lovely find! Thanks so MUCH for sharing! It has been ages since I have heard Ronnie sing! He had such a rich and smoky sound, though not the power of his daddy. Its sad that Marty is gone, and that Ronnie lost his ability to sing before he really had a chance to become a success in the biz. His sister has music on iTunes, her name is Janet Robbins. Her style isn't my taste,but her voice could be quite good on the right material. Check her out.

Ronnie Robbins also recorded an album around 1981 it was called "Reach For All You Can Get" I have this album,it's great,he sound's so much like his Dad.

i had ronny's 1st album recorded in the late 60's iwish i still had it it was called columbia presents marty robbins jr. i can't remember any of the songs he did but i remember he sounded just like dad.i knew he had made a 2nd album but i never saw or heard it. i called mariposa music [marty robbins enterprises]in nashville.they didn't have either of them and had no idea how i could find them. the master copies must have been destroyed. i didn't think they ever did that but maybe i'm wrong.
