Is everything in Iceland always this magical??? I'd want to go, maybe even live there, but I'm afraid that it might be too far from what I know as reality!
" after the concert in san francisco we got a letter from lars ulrich (the drummer of metallica). he said "thank you, thank you, thank you! we're so inspired. we're in the middle of making some kind of a record.." "
absolutely beautiful musicians, it's been ages since I've been in awe. Just sit back and let it pour all over you, beautiful, thank you for reigniting my love for music!
No, it isn't. In Icelandic, Iceland is Ísland. You're getting confused because Sigur Rós sometimes sing in a made-up language which they call Hopelandic.
i noticed that too. i can't make out what it says except "thank you" a bunch of times. which is basically the essence of how i feel about sigur ros. one of the only things i said when faced with Jonsi was "thank you"... they need to be appreiciated for the beauty they create, even if (especially if) they do create it just by "mucking about". :)
So soulful. All of it. The documentary itself, the fleeting images and the subtle hints of emotionality all throughout it.. it's beautiful. Sigur Ros don't even realize what an amazing gift they've given the world. To the people that don't just hear music, but feel it, they've shared with us their visions, thoughts, hopes and dreams. They've given us the ability to feel what they feel. I can close my eyes and see the music. It's wondrous.
I could'nt of put it better myself. i just listened to hvarf/heim for the first time the whole way through. they never fail to amaze me. i can't wait to see the movie itself.
I definitely teared up at the end when they are describing the meaning behind heysatan... what a great documentary that was.... just awesome.. it makes this album mean so much more to me
Ive been to iceland, thats where I first heard them, THEY ARE THAT GREAT. The island is incredible. You have to go, I will tell that to anyone.
