OMG!! Dats Tom Joyners' boy Jay Anthony Brown in da beginning. LMFAO!!! p.s. Chunky! Dogg we need u back on da scene 2 save this crazy world. CHUNKY!!! Where r u!!!!
ARSENIO IS A HUGE CAMEO FAN...AND IT'S SUPER AWESOME THAT LEAD SINGER LARRY BLACKMON PRODUCED THE TRACK...CLEARLY ITS A BITE OFF "WORD UP"....GOOD STUFF!!!
imo he was the greatest talk show host of all time. he always went that extra mile. you have to remember; from a creative standpoint, this was when rap/hip hop was at its peak. shortly after this, hip hop was ruined by corporate greed ...and mc hammer. Arsenio and his producers always had a knack for knowing what was good.
@randycolvin : I'll only agree with you on M.C. Hammer from the standpoint that his mainstream success and crossover appeal is what led to corporations seeing Hip Hop as a cash cow that they could manipulate and get rich off of. As far as the quality of M.C. Hammer's music, it was as good as anything before or since. His concerts were like Super Bowl Halftime Shows. The only problem with Hammer is that his music was too sample heavy. Even other song he did was a remake or heavily sampled.
so he is the one who spawned the "black guy in a fat suit" genre!
if i didnt like the music so much, i woulda made some kind of joke there...
