  • That is so cool! :)

  • hey just an idea for anyone who is wondering: you can double knot all the ties on 3 sides, but leave one side single knotted so you only have to untie on side to take out the pillow and wash the cover! smarticle particle

  • omg..i love this!! girl,u r very talented!! than u so much!!! love u!! =D

  • I have a special shirt 20 years old never worn* and was wondering what to do. Did not want to frame it. This is perfect. Thanks so much*

  • I have made a blanket just like that but without the stuffing

  • cute

  • Thank you so much :D Mine looks fantastic!

  • good idea but the "think greek" should've been centered

  • @flytye824 The words were too high on the t-shirt for it to be in the center...

  • I love it! now I have something to do with all my old t-shirts (:

  • Is the pillow going to feel weird or lumpy if I use t-shirt strips as the stuffing?

  • @yawenalice I'm actually not sure, you'll definitely need A LOT of strips though for it to fill out enough, unless you're making a small pillow.

  • @FiretayRenee127 Yep! That should work.

  • YESSS! the white crayon finally gets used :D this is the happiest day of its life

  • I made a pillow out of an old baby shirt in home ec last semester xD but i sewed it

  • she said "tee shit" instead of tee shirt lol

  • ''Think Greek''

U mean like the people in Greece?

  • That is one of the cutest pillows I've ever seen! :P Next time I make a pillow, I'll try this method! q:

  • Awesome idea! Made 4 of these for me and birthday presents for my grandmom, dad, and mom... Suggestion though... Don't try with black shirt.... It was very frusturating but easier with a white shirt.

  • This is so awesome I will be trying this out ASAP.

  • Hey one thing that's good to get the T's from is goodwill as long as you washed it

  • I LOVE UR DYI'S MORE PLZ!

  • Lmao i took your idea of the pillow and made a purse instead XD

  • ahh thank you! :) I'm so excited to get started.

  • You can get stuffing from worn out pillows or you use old clothes. I keep a bin of cut clothing pieces and stuff them in so I don't have to throw them away.

  • I did this to an old t-shirt that I didn't want to get rid of (it's pretty sentimental to me) but it didn't fit me anymore. I added a bit of flair to mine, though. I tied the bottom half of the pillow, and then sewed buttons onto the front of the shirt (The theme is "Jaden's Jewels" so I had to have a bit of shimmer!) I used black, sparkly white and gold buttons but instead of using thread that matched the buttons or the shirt (hot pink) I used Lime Green, Yellow and a pretty Blue that I found.

  • @BalletBeauty97 thanks for sharing! glad you were able to make use of a treasured t-shirt :)

  • very cool I will definately try this.

  • @hayoto27 if you have a walmart near you thy usually have big bags of stuffing for $8

  • I don't have any stuffing:(:(

  • @hayoto27 neither do i

  • do you think it would work with an oil pastel to outline?

  • do you think it would work with an oil pastel to outline?

  • I tried this.. TWICE and it failed miserably :( They got all scrunched up and ugly.

  • think greek???

    GREEKS ARE GAY.

  • When I made ths pillow, the ties came undone and it compleatly fell apart... Any way to prevent this from happening again?

  • @foshomoe121 if you didn't double knot them you can try that first. if that doesn't work you can opt for some fabric glue or you can sew them if all else fails, though I don't think you'll have to resort to sewing if you don't want to.

  • @RubyChopsticks I would sew for the added strength and then tie for the look. Or stretch the fringe out completely and tie double knots as tightly as possible. :D

  • Love this idea! I am going to use this in my FACS classroom! Thanks!

  • I did something thing likes this when I was in Girl Scout back in Elementry School

  • this is a great idea!!!!!! I'm totally going to try this!

  • im soo going to do this for my teacher's day gift to my fav teacher!!! thks!

  • my friend showed me this and i always wanted to make it at home and now i can! :D thanks for putting this video :D :D :D

  • thanks!! i sude my old hello kitty shirt and i stuffed the pillo with old pajama pants lol!!

  • I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but what could I use as stuffing that would let me just toss the whole pillow in the wash? Very very cool, by the way - thank you for the idea!! :)

  • This is SO FRICKIN COOL!

You sound a bit like Selena gomez in some parts of this video=)

  • @tmc18191819 thanks! glad you liked it and Selena Gomez? i've never been told that before, perhaps I'll check her out and see. lol

  • thats beautiful !

  • wow i really love that im gonna try it :)

  • and I got rid of old shirts without actually getting rid of them lol.

  • I actually did this thanks to this video I now have 2 new pillows. one is a NY Yankees t-shirt that didnt fit me and the other was a WCYY radio station T shirt that had holes in it. I am not a crafts type of person but I thought I would try this b/c I love working with my hands. I used a bunch of old t shirts that didnt fit me as the stuffing.

  • @coondogtheman1234 I'm glad the craft worked out for you! I really like the old t-shirt as stuffing idea. Oh, and to answer your question before about washing the whole thing - as long as you double knot the ties and your stuffing isn't actual pillow stuffing or anything that's sensitive to being spun around in a washer it should be fine.

  • @RubyChopsticks Well I saw your video and I thought I'd try it. I actually made a pillow our of a Patriots football sweatshirt that didnt fit me but I could bear to throw it out or give it away b/c it was special I found it at my old school and no one claimed it. so now I can keep it forever. all the scraps are inside the pillow nothing goes to waste and everything is double knotted. I made a pillow out of a n old NY Yankees shirt and its huge and heavy lol.

  • super cute!!!!!! i never would have thought of making a pillow like this! i have made blankets but not pillows! cant wait 2 try it

  • That looks comfy but I would add more stuffing and double knot those. will it hurt it if you wash the whole thing?

  • you can also cut up the rest of the t-shirt into strips and put that in ;D

  • @mellonmakeup I actually did that when I made mine, nothing ever went to waste it all went inside.

  • AWESOMEEE !

  • gran idea gracias por compartir

  • this is so awesome! thanks for the great idea!

  • im making one now!!

  • Cute~ Thanks for the tute! I'll probably make a good few for the apt I'm moving into <3

  • Thanks for sharing this great idea

  • thats like how u do the fleece blankets! except i use the ruler to space out the strips that u cut i think its alot easier..and thats just how i learned! lol

  • I loveeeee your cardigan! :D

  • dude this is such a great idea!

im totally doing this asap. =)
