Canadian/British Army are real soldiers, they fight in real wars. Who would want to be a toy soldier that just drills all the time?

The Germans did the goose step and they were one of the best armed forces ever to march on this planet. I am just commenting on the parade aspect not on the Chilean fighting capabilities.

Besides, the Taliban doesn't even use drill and their fighting is on par with Canadian forces in Afghanistan right now.

But the Canadian Army kick the German Army out of Italy and from Normandy to Holland. German fought Canada in two world wars both times they lost. And the Taliban, Canada's little 2400 men and women policing force has no problem with those losers. How are they on par??? That is just a dumb comment

The Germans lost not because of the Western Front. It was because of the East. The Russians killed 3 out of 4 Germans (The Russians goosestep too). Germans were always outnumbered on the Western front compared to the Allies. The Canadians weren't alone. They had the USA and the Brits. As for Afghanistan, it's the same thing. The US is there and Canada still hasn't WON yet. It's a dirty country in the middle of the desert and we still can't defeat them completely. Not a dumb comment to make.

Canada won both wars because they were on the side that had more men. The Germans always end up fighting on their own in the end against crazy odds.

Yes, it is a great parade. I am Canadian and very proud of that fact. I support the military 100% but I am not so arrogant to believe that we won any of the wars on our OWN. Britain and the USA were our allies on every war. We make valuable contributions to these forces. With Chile, at least they beat the Peruvians on their own although in the 1830s. I just commented on the drill and this can of worms opened up.
