@sephiroth8261 Well, the Exorcist wasn't exactly a movie parents want to show a child. I first watched it when I was thirteen and it scared the living shit outta me. When what's-her-face breaks out of the restraints and stands up, I was pretty freaked out. Then the fucking statue appears behind it and I'm like, "Fuck this."
The only thing movie moment that left an impresion in me was from the remake of The house on the hunted hill on the scene when they are playing footage from the doctors and one of them starts moving in a crazy fucked up fashion.
That whole movie was scary(to me), but that was just a psychotic image that I just couldn't get away from.
I love everything you talked about. Those were all so scary to me when I was little. LOL now I look at them and laugh but when you are a kid it is really bad, The large Marge is classic! Thanks for posting!

Lol. the only thing that bothers me is when ppl or trolls leave a comment on a video they dont like. if they dont like it then why take the time and energy to even leave a comment instead of just clicking the back or home button. dumbasses. but im all good, thanks anyway buddy
I watched Alien when I was 7 then The Thing, CARPENTER'S version when I was 9 in the 80's so pretty much anything after that to this day does not bother me at all. I'm already fucked up. :)
Oh look ICP. Here's a fun fact ! ICP is fucking shit and Juggalos are a bunch of retarded aspies (several forms of mental retardation mixed in with a healthy dose of aspergers syndrome).
number 1 would probably be a very eriee/disturbing scene:
(i know it's a pg 13 movie but still) signs, the scene when joqune phonix was watching footage of an alien on the tv in the little room. i watch that shit when in theaters when i was like 8(big mistake).

Gmork from the Neverending Story. Though now one of my favorite villains, he was the greatest terror of my childhood. His theme music was also terrifying and when he started talking near the end, I didn't see that coming. His voice is so eerie.
He even scared me so much, I thought he was lurking in my basement.
So yeah. I'm sure you didn't find those scary. But I did
@DanSolo0119 I agree, and I saw that movie for the first time when I was very little. It's the first thing that I can remember that genuinely frightened me, and it left a very lasting impression.
2. Well, I can't really name this scene, but it's from Return to Oz. I know everyone's going to say the Wheelers were the creepiest part of the movie, but I say it was the scene where Dorthy wakes up Mombi's head and the head screams "DOOOOOOORTHY GAAAAAAAAALE!" over and over while her body is walking towards her.
Can you watch that scene and not want to go into the next room till it's over? I didn't think so.
3. The Transformation scene in the Last Crusade. The scene where the guy drinks from the false Grail and it turns him into the Crypt Keeper. Not only was that creepy, but my mom had a set of golden goblets, which she said were for display only, but after seeing that scene, I wasn't going to drink out of them anyway.
4. The Sacrificial scene from The Temple of Doom. Mola Ram is one of the most evil villains I know, especially in this scene where he pulls the heart out of the man, then chants and sets the heart aflame while lowering the guy into that fiery pit.
Pulling hearts out of people's chests. Doesn't that bother anyone?
5. The Velociraptors from Jurassic Park. As scared as I was of the T-Rex, it was the kitchen scene where the raptors are looking for the kids that really gave me the chills. The first few minutes of it, where they were looking and sniffing around, I could really feel the sense of dread those kids were feeling.
Plus that screeching sound they make is an ear rape.
7. Medusa from the original Clash of the Titans. I wasn't really impressed with the claymation puppets, because they all moved slowly. But, Medusa...when Perseus and those other two guys went in her lair, you could just feel the terror knowing that she was lurking somewhere, waiting to catch them off guard. Then you see her slithering about, hissing, and then she turns one of the guys into stone.
8. The Shark from Jaws. Now who ISN'T scared of this behemoth of a man-eating Great White Shark. Whether you're a child or an adult, if it isn't the size or all those sharp teeth, or all the blood on it...it'll be that scary theme music that will keep you out of the water.
9. All the ghosts from Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. Do I even need to talk about how creepy all those monsters were? The terror dog pulling Signory Weaver in her closet, the ghost in the library, the ghost who snatched the baby in the second movie, and the list goes on and on and on. The sad thing is, it was the first movie my parents saw together and they probably thought I would find it funny more than scary. They were wrong. Now I see the humor, but not then
Okay. Now even now, I've never seen It, or Poltergeist, or Pee-Wee (nor do I intend to) and I don't know why a kid should be watching those first two. But if you don't mind, I have a top ten of my own, which won't include any from this vid.
10. The Skesis from Dark Crystal. Where do I start with them? The Skesis were ugly and that one who wimpered a lot was totally creepy, and don't get me started on when they were draining the essence from those cute little puppets.
Judge Doom reminds me of Hitler. People say Hitler was Jewish and we know for a fact he attempted genocide of the Jewish. Judge Doom was a toon and he was trying to kill all the toons. So each were attempting to rid the world of something they are/ were. I think it was the Disney way of trying to get kids to not to hate. Cleaver, do you think it worked?
ok people, I know some of these things are scary for some people, but trying seeing Jaws when you're only four years old. I'm still afraid of the ocean!
In my case, the librarian from Ghost Busters, I saw the movie when I was 7 years, it really scared the shit out of me. But now is my favorite scene and I love it =). Another one was Michael Jackson's transformation in the video Thriller, not to mention the zombies that gave me nightmares. But now is my favorite Music Video from the 80's. See ya.
Large Marge certainly was a scary part of a lot of our childhoods, its so outta place in that movie from a kids point. Anyone remember E.T. TURNED WHITE!? that scared me bad as a kid.
Two of the scariest film characters from my childhood were Judge Doom and Jabba the Hutt. The big difference is that Jabba never made me run from the room screaming in terror.
Stephen King's IT is the reason why I'm afraid of clowns! *shudders*
The snake scene in Beetlejuice didn't scare me much when I was a kid. Sure, I thought it was creepy, just not nightmare inducing.
Judge Doom, however, is a different story. To this day, I STILL can't watch that scene all the way through without getting nightmares, and I'm nearly 20!
@LizRichieBand it depends on what scares you and how old you were when you saw it personally i was afraid of it since i was 4 years old then i re-watched it and i realized how stupid it was
Judge Doom and Large Marge is at # 2 and # 3 on my list. And there's a scene or 2 in "Look Who's Talking Too" that scared the pants off of me when I was little.
ha ha, I loved it when the Herbie with teeth was going to get Alanzo Hawk! I always routed for Herbie. I liked when they did the king kong spoof witht hat scene to.
Although Alanzo falling did leave an odd image in my head as a child.
... Beetlesnake: Looks like a cat straight outta hell.
Poltergeist clown: ? Never seen it before... *looks it up*
Herbie Rides Again: Oh good lord, reminds me of this one VCR show, there was a doll with dying batteries saying "Play with meee...." sounded kinda like Dane Cook's imitation of a Speak and Spell. Scared me shitless.
I could relate I know a goth teacher who told me her sister was also afraid of the movie Beetlejuice and even the cartoon. I know you found the Beetlesnake scary, but can you believe that someone could find a cartoon scary? I never found cartoons scary. The other scary things in this vid did not scare me, I found them fun to watch. Do you think that's weird, Kippinoka?
@kippinoka Probably the second one. I was shocked to know that Beetlejuice was the bad guy in the movie, cause I saw him as a hero in the cartoon first. But what scared me as a child was when I was tring to look for something good on tv with my pizza, I saw that scene form Nightmare on Elm Street 5 when this chick finds her friend in the fridge with her face disgustingly stuffed with food. I totally lost my appetite from that, but now I'm a Horror fan.
gotta give you a big amen on that last one hahaha, those older movies just had a special way of putting some seriously scary shit where you least expect it, and half the time the movie wasnt even meant to be scary
Judge doom was scary when his eyes spun and green stuff spewed out. Also, the child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang. I'm still left with a sense of unease.
dude, large marge when i first saw it made me freeze and i litteraly didn't move for three minutes. i was only about 4 or 5 so i still can't watch it. when i saw it in this video though i fell outta my chair petrified :D
"Large Marge"? why? i saw that movie all by my self in the dark alone. and that was when i was 5 years old but now i rather watch "The Gruge" alone in the dark.
Judge Doom scared the living life outta me too, now that i learned that the dude who play Doc in BTTF played him, i changed my mind on him! AWESOMESAUSE!
E.T. and Judge Doom as a toon for me, and yes it was just Christopher Lloyd who played Doc Brown but I saw Roger Rabbit before I saw the Back to the Future Trilogy,. And yes E.T. is friendly and all but he's insanely creepy and disgusting with his telescoping neck, huge freaky eyes that stare right through your soul and that head splitting scream. Even M&M's thought he was so disgusting that they turned down letting them use their candy in the film, that's why they use Reese's Pieces.
The movie that scared the piss out of me as a kid was Tremors. I'd never seen anything like the creatures in that film before in my life, not to mention the fact that they lived underground and could attack without warning, oh, and ATE YOU WHOLE was the stuff of nightmares for many years for me. Oddly enough, I actually enjoy it and it's sequels now.
I would have to totally agree with number two. Right before Judge Doom revealed himself as a toon, I would hide in the closet til he was dead. Had several nightmares with him. I got over my fear of him when I was 10. HE was my number one fear when I was a child.
when i was little around 5 or 6 i use to flipp out with chucky the movie and all now whenever but now i love chucky hes cute and funny and the last one i agree with you the pee weee movie i remeber that i use to have nightmares of it and just when i saw this it brought me memes and try to think of it as a funny movie...stilll kinda creepy
LOL...damn, I was scared by all of those 2! Except 4 Herbie, just because I had'nt seen that 1. But the rest were definitely chilling moments as a kid. Nice vid.
my childhood wus ruined when i saw evil dead i wus like 7 and now i can watch most horror movies and not get scared as easily i also saw excorcist and now all i get are morbid dreams that i need medication for
eww hostile 2 or one when that dude escape the building and asian girl is getting burned in the face with a torch and her eyeball is hanging out and he cuts it off and all the puss drains out ewwwwwwwwww and the 3 guys 1 hammer vid is terrible and sick and disgusting dont watch it its to guys killing an old dude with a hammer(real!)
i was made to see the shining and freddy krueger when i was 9, yet the thing that scared me the most was that weird mummy thing on courage the cowardly dog lol
When I was little nothing scared me.....I would watch Rated R scary movies at age 2 not and not be scared. But in the first grade, by that time I had seen so many scary movies..... I wen to bed had a very short dream with some scary characters.... that was 7 years ago so all I remember i it was that dude with a mask in Scream. I wet the bed that night..... and woke up screaming. :/ I'm still that way....I love horror movies but I still have to close my eyes sometimes.
The Aliens from Alien were super scary. But now I love em.
Judge Doom was very disturbing, though not actually scary. Killing that toon shoe with acid was freaky. Now i love that scene... boy what a sicko I am.
Nowadays, the only movie that comes to mind is Hostel. I still can't watch it. That's just some messed up sh*t.
Just a tip. This woulda been better if you'd actually HAD the clips in it.

Do you think that's weird, Kippinoka?
steveclips 1 year ago 2
@steveclips sounds like someone who either lived a striclty religious life or is afraid of anything abnormal.
kippinoka 1 year ago 5

E.T. and Judge Doom as a toon for me, and yes it was just Christopher Lloyd who played Doc Brown but I saw Roger Rabbit before I saw the Back to the Future Trilogy,.
