lol this may sound stupid but when i go to Japan (which is every year and this is why i don't think this is stupid to this) is buy a lot of food at convenience stores lol. tastes so much better the japanese aen't afraid to try someting new. for example this year i saw spicy KitKats. and the convenience store foods taste better than most of the food i get from where i come from. :P

I know what you mean. It is a western thing to not be very open minded about food. Many of us are. In western countries I find that people have been told whats what, and are afraid to try other things. For example rare BBQ chicken, eating insects ect. I also find that finding real Japanese cuisine is hard, or very expencive. Because most of the time places, like Wagamamas, the food has been twisted and made more western because people probably wont eat something thats very different =[

However you won't disappoint eating anywhere from street food, convenient store and even ub food.

This is far from normal cuisine in Japan. This is expensive stuff! The finished food even looks similar to what you'd get at a very expensive restaurant in New York City. I am sure the prices are similar for these. I can't even imagine what kind of flavor these would have. I would love to try though...
