Amtrak California Zephyr

Wow. I grew up in Hinsdale and took a Zephyr to Oakland back in ‘67ish. I first recognized the station and then read the description -- what a surpise. But the trains looked much cooler back then.

that happened to me once when i was under the bridge when up 844 came. my advice is use a tripod and stand a couple of feet back so you don't shake the camera. good vid though!

my girl scout troop took this route to colorado last june (2007) so i wasnt on that specific train :'( but i was scared when it honked when it arrived in naperville!

they said the train would be on the north track, so everyone getting on the train was on the north side, but then the train arrived on the south side! we were all running for our lives so we wouldn't miss the train!!!
