Another from a time when one could be listened to and famed just because he had a magnificent voice - no "mixing" and electronic hocus-pocus, just quality of voice and talent.
@tabitwin david frost didnt sing but he had the jazz pianist billy taylor as a musical director and the beach boys on there tom jones can sng don franks was a singer that had a hippie show

Talking about Engelbert's hands: That was the first thing I noticed when I discovered videos of him here and started watching rather than just listening to him on records and the radio. He's always gesturing. And I love how, at the end of so many songs, he holds his arms out as though to enfold the entire audience. That's so endearing.
i grew up on engleburt and toms musiv was privlaged anough to also see then both in concert the music just brings so much good memories of my parents r.i.p
mommy an daddy and thanks for giving me a head start on loving good music
@chrstianmom I'm a little younger, my life is pistols, clash and you get the picture, but my mum loved Englebert, and now i'm here, crying and loving this, RIP all mums
@redredreds100 Oh you sweet thing you, I so understand. I used to ride in the car with my mom to take her best friend to the doctor and we would listen to Humpy as we call me. My Mom past in 1989 and her friend went long before she did, and I cry everytime I hear Engelbert's version. I'm thinking about recording the tune myself God Bless you stay strong Elmer
the most beautiful song of the many made famous by this wonderful and extraordinary voice of engelbert humperdinck, what a celestial melody and what a many pretty songs he has, brilliant
My favorite song by him also. Was raised on him from childhood as my dear late mother was a huge fan of both him and Tom Jones. I had the great joy of taking my mom to see him for her birthday forget the year, if I remember correct was 2000. What a preformenc and we both enjoyed it. Me especially to take my mom to see her fave. Rest in peace mom and Bless you Hump for all the joy you bring
two excellent voices, rather difficult to decide between engelbert and tom, perhaps i prefer a little better the first one, and this song is heavenly celestial, the other three: spanish eyes, there goes my everything and release me, but this song still number one, greetings
Enge has that gift of healing, and although his hands are like a sculpured marble statue, they do not have to touch the person who believes, and hopes to receive his gift of healing. At his concert, I believe it is the 3rd song that he tries to reach out with his mind, to all who need healing, whether it be pain, illness, saddness, etc. I have been witness to a healing ~ backstage, years ago, and I myself have no doubt that our Dear, Wonderful Engelbert ~ has the Power. Too spiritual to discuss.
Well, well! This is my constant imagination... Engelbert now as he is darned big and beautiful (even voiceless, I wouln't care), every inch of his body and his mind in this video together with me just for one single night. I'd just prepare to die and gone to heaven and never have to ever live again for one more miserable day for not possessing the power to turn back the HANDS (in every sense of the word) of time! Am I gone... darned crazy...Hmmmmm?? If so... Albeit!!
The singer is great wow really but do anyone have a video of Engelbert doing "All The Time" this is a great and mystical song so deep ans full of soul soothing and wow what I can say but when it start won't like stop listening to it.
When I first heard Enge's voice on the radio, I was hooked. Then seeing him in person, just about everything about him so perfect, the eyes, the lips, those hands, tall, slim so handsome, and the voice....God ...when you made this Man.....you broke the mold, because no where can you find another like him....and to think I was lucky enough to hear that song. ( of course a few million others heard him also ) ~ Even the cameraman focused on those hands. He tells a story with them. Love this video.
Thank God, someone else besides me (and another yter has noticed Engelbert's big beautiful HEALING hands! I've being saying it for years... Thanks emyhobbyh and thanks Engeclub for sharing!
This recording is one of the 12 full-length classic vintage performances from the ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK GREATEST PERFORMANCES 1967-1977 DVD compilation, released in 2007 by
"Reelin' in The Years" Productions LLC. Most of the clips are taken from his own highly acclaimed variety show "The Engelbert Humperdinck Show" 1969-70. The DVD is great, with old Engelbert telling the story of each featured song and also recalling experiences with other great musicians he has met along the years.

@Jujigatamesan On the nose, mate. Most singers need a bit of electronic pixie-dust. Here's to one of the few who didn't.
