This is designed for field engineers and field ethernet systems in control panels. I am fortunate coming from IT Admin / Network background into Automation and Control. But many engineers either haven't had the pleasure of making their own cables or can't make them to as high a spec as these products make it.
I can make perfectly good industrial ethernet patch leads but still use this style product for rapid termination in the field where time is everything.

For the cost, it's far better to use the good old 8P8C (RJ45)

Not that bad ... but how often you need this? Well, you can recycle the plug if the cable is broken, but: Did on of your cables ever broke?
