Correct me if I'm wrong, but were Queensland denied a couple of tries with dodgy decisions before Brent Tate's beauty @7:30 in 2006? From memory his slamming the ball down under the posts was a loud underline i.e: try and take this one from us!

@Hustle74 : I think you are right.. As well as Qld being denied tries in that game - NSW were also awarded an absolute shocker from a blatant knock on from I think Hodgson. I remember I was on the verge of throwing a brick at the tele at the time. Tate was amazingly quick!

you know, when you look at the time when a fair few of these tries are put down they seem to be in the second half of the match, some with 15 or 20 minutes left and a handful that that won the match for us.... now i truly understand queensland spirit

WOW. What a compilation. I moved to Brisy from Canada in 2006 and have traded Ice Hockey for League and its video's like this that prove what a great game it is. I show all my mates Origin video's but there isn't one beter then this one. Cheers. I will add that In my five years here I think the best try has been Izzy's but I could never argue with Slater's or Coyne's.

@millencolin17 I hear what you're saying mate and I seriously considered putting it in but as a stand alone try it probably wasn't up there with the best, it really turned out to be a simple try in the end. No doubting though it was a brilliant moment and it's gone down as a turning point in Origin history! Full credit to Locky for being in the right place at the right time, as always. I went for Tate's try, it's the forgotten try of that game and it set Qld up for the famous comeback.

The collin try was the best team try(if any of you watch soccer,its kind of like that goal Brazil scored aaages ago were nearly everyone touches the ball) the Israel (gayfl) folaus try was the most difficult the slater try stood out aswell.
