@littleprince1979 meditation. meditate to train yourself to be as relaxed as possible. to the point where you cannot feel you arms or legs. only you heart beating.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, I have lucid dreams and I have OBE's, both of which are very different. Could you explain to me how the states are similar? (I'm not questioning, just searching for more points of views/knowledge)
if you want to dream lucidly do a reality check every 10 mins through out the day. Eventually you'll fall asleep and through habit your mind will do a reality check only to find your in a dream/ or an alternate reality hard to say.
I found his book - Journeys Out of the Body, after starting to have these experiences spontaneously. This book describes the experiences really well and I have gone on to have hundreds of these experiences, some good, some not so good and some downright spooky. Life was forever changed and there is a lot more going on inside us than most of us are awake to. I think it is a normal human faculty that just needs to be awoken in us somehow.
Try the following: go to sleep early, wake up before dawn (preferably at 4 am), stay awake for some time, and, when falling asleep, try to stay focused on your body, or on some part of your body - preferably the one you'll find it easiest to focus on. The concentration itself should be soft and should lead you into a state that is both relaxed and focused. Don't force yourself too much while concentrating. Instead of falling asleep you should find yourself going into visionary trance.
see this is how it is........... imagine if schools from a young age taught about obe........how to have them, to experience, etc.......infact why arnt they.......just lies and fear taught...... fear breads ignorance...... this is a great man......... love and understanding to you all.
That's a nice comment stevie, I used to be atheist .. and officially I am not agnostic... but really I know the truth, the astral universe. Although his tapes haven't worked for me yet, I enjoy his interviews.
try approaching the sounds with a bit of conscious meditative effort...if you can't do that yet try to spend some time gaining basic skill in meditation. it'll go a loooong way...
Mr. Monroe's work can launch agnostics and atheists into spiritual life in a way I've never seen. He uses a very basic intellectual language to communicate concepts most westerners could not get otherwise. Robert Monroe and his Hemisync are infinitely commendable.
It takes years to master OOBE.

Did you practise to be able to dream lucidly, or is it a spontaneous phenomenon? Have you ever used hemi-synch?

I find that when I do that, I get lucid dreams by Mnemonic induction, rather than habit of RC'ing. I also say affirmations

why would u want to have an obe?
dinkolino2 2 years ago
Why not, its only to become aware of what is more then we normally experience. and also obe takes away the fear of dead.
I had many obe and everybody can do it .. its not that hard to do . see last page of the book. for method. this method I did and it worked.
