Great song and a brilliant cover of it. Weller at his best in my opinion, don't like his solo stuff though, I preferred him in the jam and the Council.

Out of all the covers the Jam, the Council, or solo Weller did, this will always be my favorite. I think in this one you can hear his voice was sort of transitioning into what I call "Council Mode", not as gruff as during the Jam.

Love this version of the song, I think the original was done by The Chi-Lites but I first heard it years ago on my mam's John Holt album but Mr Weller and crew bought it back to life for me.
