its a class 3 because the small hole at the bottom has a weird side current at the bottom that can flip you. This river is great for beginners, even for people who can't roll. its very easy but a lot of fun to mess around on, you wouldn't believe how fun that slab is just dicking around
@kyaker123 anything that "looks" class ii but requires some sort of move with current to avoid a dangerous obstacle is a ii, imagine this rapid with way more water. it would be alot more violent.
