i have an old cannondale r300! but it has stayed in perfect condition and still rides awesome! one of my friends has a 2007 trek bike with shimano 105 but my cannondale is riding nearly as good as his bike!

I love the color and I want one of these! I have a Canondale CAAD5 R700 with Corima carbon rims I got over 45,000 miles on it. I want to retire it and get one of these! It's been across the USA 4 times and Japan once! I'm training right now to break the world record riding from NY to LA I think I will do it on one of these. I love CANONDALE, LOOK, FUJI, GIANT, and some others to but FUJI and CANONDALE are my first choices.

I just love the SAVE technology. Compare the Synpase to the Roubaix, it's a close call. The geometry on the Roubaix looks kinda ugly, but the Zertz on the Seat Stay and Fork makes it up.

I think the entry-level mountain bikes by Cannondale are now made in China. I was looking at one the other day when I took my Synapse to the bike shop for a quick tuneup. The welds are not smooth on the entry-level bikes anymore (think it was an F5). AND they don't have "Handmade in USA" displayed on the frame.

The syanpse carbon 5 has a retail price of around 1900$ US if you buy it retail. The synapse 6 has about a 900$ price tag on it. The reason for the price difference is the 5 has a full carbon frame and that means it is badass and light as hell. Lucky for me I can get one for less than wholesale price because the place I work is a Cannondale dealer. Otherwise I'd say buy a Cannondale off craigslist or something to save some money.

Me to, but we're also a specialized dealer, and I think the roubaix is way cooler than the synapse. especially the new roubaix SL2 monocoque frame coming in '09

Also, NEVER get an aluminum synapse. It's intended to be a carbon bike thats how its designed.

Never. Who will buy a thousand dollar bike from Wal-Mart? Wal-mart is a MADE-IN-CHINA-seller. As long as Cannondales are made in the US there is no way it can be sold in WM or Target or any such dumpsters.

No.Hand-made in the USA from domestic parts (not imported). At least my older Cannondale was.

It means they wont be build by certified mechanics. And they wont offer free service. I work at a proshop and have seen bikes from walmart come in put together wrong... Forks on backward, cables routed improperly, pedals stripped out, etc.

Come on, do we really need girlfriends? :) I can say this about your bike taking the place of your girlfriend: If you spend enough time with "her" you will become very physically fit, and will most likely attract a woman with like qualities. Maybe you'll meet a lady cyclist with the same interests as you, then you can spend time on three ladies (or more depending on your bike collection).
