R you stupid? I have a 1.3watt blue laser that can ignite white paper so a 1watt wouldnt struggle to ignite black paper, why would he use lighter fluid?
@SilverLionHeart7 look on laser pointer fourms dot com. they have lots of good information, i would also google laser safety ect. just get to know the risks of them and how powerful they really are. start with a 5mW low power laser to get used to them.
1) Go soak a page from a magazine with fuel, any magazine at all, gloss or matte, then come back and tell me it's going to look like that.
2) You can catch wood on fire with sunlight on a mildly cloudy day through a magnifying glass, tell me why a blue laser focused to less than a single millimeter wouldn't be able to catch paper on fire.
3) Learn something about lasers, and then read the description of the video again before you start casting stones.
Definitely NOT faked at all. To everyone out there saying it's faked do YOU have a 445 doing 1W+???!
I ask because if you don't you should not automatically discredit this video. I have an Arctic that does close to 900mW. It can make paper glow with embers but not flare up. This is because it's not focusable. I have a focusable 1.25+ module and it WILL make paper burn just like this video. Not every piece of paper mind you but it's just a matter of luck and trial and error.
;ya nice gasoline or alchohol on that magazine hahahahahaah u thought no1 would notice. Its obvious cuz it burnt through the whole thing like lightening. Ive seen a magazine burn b4 and it looks nothing like this...
I don't see how this is possible. Mine burns a hole straight through everything... it never actually ignites anything even at the focal point. It's a 1.1W 445nm.
Hi what's type of the diode you're using how many lens and filters? did you take from bluray writter or you bought it from somewhere else? top is + middle - and bottom 0 or middle 0 and bottom -?pls? You are using a 1w diode or 300mw with many high quality lens?thank you!
@Halo3sniperdude The host was machined from aluminum and powder coated by a friend, the Circuit board is custom built specifically for laser diodes, the diode was harvested from a casio projector, It was all set up, soldered, and assembled by myself.
So I don't know if it's just the camera, but the beam on this is not visible? I've seen other videos of 1W blue lasers where the beam is clearly visible. Are they using fog, is their camera overexposing it or something, etc?
This would be nice for controlled brush fires. It would save so much money if we didn't have to buy 1000 gallons of propane, not to mention the truck to haul the tank around the field.
Good for kids

Awesome! What kind of batteries did you use? How long will it stay on? Do you have any over heating or powerloss?
For the RETARDS the video is real, it ignites so well because it is black.

@h3ndrik123 I have a Spartan 1W blue laser and I can send you some pics of what it can do and its not even focused (the dot is about 3mm).

If it's over $300, I'll just buy the Spyder III Arctic.
Please reply with a price.

Is the magazine soaked in gasoline? Cause it seems to me that many far less powerful lasers could start ignition and it would do the same quick burn.
