As much as Rare sucks these days, people should stop blaming Microsoft, Rare are the ones making the damn games! Not Microsoft, though we can blame Microsoft for allowing horrid games to be sold.
I think the game was good. The graphic was not bad, the gameplay idea very nice and it had some pretty badass tracks.
And still people complain about it. True, it would have been better if it would have been it's very own game and no Banjo-Kazooie and a real Banjo-Kazooie-Jump-and-Run would have been released. Still, it's not fair to say this game was bad or the franchise become bad. Let's just say... the designers made a bad decision to throw both in one game.

Why people hate it is because it isn't a true BK game. If you get past it, you see that if you have fun is on YOU! sure, you can finish it with the standard vehicle, or you could make it a plane for the whole game unlike the rest of the people using cars, or make a mecha to stomp enemies. Is it the best in the series? No. Is it fun? Only if you want to.
A bear and bird who used to go on crazy adventures with jigsaw peices and ugly hags now drive cars and do nothing that they used to do, and it's more a driving game then platforming, and there are no more jigsaw peices, transformations, or cool stuff? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, RARE?
@fletchest Its probably because they use the same way of recording. If i am not mistaken DQ8 used one mic- for a specific part of the orchestra, instead of more mics for all the trumpets, tubas, french horns. You name them.

Banjo Kazooie was my childhood. I can beat the original game with 100% completion in under 2 hours cuz I played it that much. Banjo Tooie was even better. I still have both and play them. I liked the new one since I am very creative and enjoy making new cars and stuff, but once you have everything, you really do miss the old school B&K games and their gameplay. But I digress, the game was good, but if Banjo and Kazooie themselfs got power ups (Excluding Boggies Gym) it would be better

Sorry for calling you a neophobist, the original BK was better than Nuts n Bolts (I have both on XBLA and I love playing them more than Nuts n Bolts), but Nuts n Bolts was still playable, and I admit, building vehicles isnt a good concept for Banjo-Kazooie, but it made things somewhat more interesting.

@able102able rent nuts and bolts first, in my opinion, buy Twilight Princess, then rent sonic colors but of course that is my opinion. (before people fly off the handle, I own both TP and Sonic Colors. Iv'e also played Nuts and Bolts but wasn't sastified with it.)

This game was decent. If banjo and kazooie were taken out of the game and grunty too, than maybe it would have done better. but Banjo Kazooie and Tooie fucking kickASS!

yes the music is epic but the fucking game blows ass. basically Microsoft tied up banjo and mumbo and used the Ludivico technique on them while they gang raped kazooie and humba violently.

Banjo Kazooie was my childhood. I can beat the original game with 100% completion in under 2 hours cuz I played it that much. Banjo Tooie was even better. I still have both and play them. I liked the new one since I am very creative and enjoy making new cars and stuff, but once you have everything, you really do miss the old school B&K games and their gameplay. But I digress, the game was good, but if Banjo and Kazooie themselfs got power ups (Excluding Boggies Gym) it would be better

I only played the demo for this game, and it kind of pissed me off that they had decided to change the gameplay so much... maybe if Rare had stuck with Nintendo and not been an absolute sellout, the game would of been better.

Sorry for calling you a neophobist, the original BK was better than Nuts n Bolts (I have both on XBLA and I love playing them more than Nuts n Bolts), but Nuts n Bolts was still playable, and I admit, building vehicles isnt a good concept for Banjo-Kazooie, but it made things somewhat more interesting.
