I like the way this causes so much offence. I can play guitar, but don't feel offended by faking it. I think for the offended guitar players it's like chopping off their dick and replacing it with a prosthetic. It directly threatens their sense of control.
If you object to this, then think about all the little time and pitch corrections - all the copying and pasting - all the triple tracking etc. etc. that goes on when virtually all metal and rock is produced. You simply don't know what is real anymore. And you know what... Who cares. If it sounds good, then dig it. The only thing that pisses me off is when live recordings are over mixed and dubbed, because that's really sneaky. Live and album are different things. Live and let 'live'.
I stopped within like 20 seconds of us. Most people are gonna be a dick about this,I will just say my honest opinion which is this is sad and I would suggest pulling your strap up to where you can reach it without havin to bend your back or get in any abnormal position to play if you dont want future back problems. If you dont want to practice playing guitar and you have to fake it,it is absolutely not for you because it requires practice, patience, and persistency to get good. Frustration occurs
fucck this bullshit, this is where the real music scene got fucked up. if you cant fucking play guitar, either stop trying or practice till your good instead of faking it and making shitty fucking music. what happens when you have people that want you to play and you cant cause all your shit is generated off a fucking computer??
think of it this way if you fake it now sell the track and make some money you can invest that money into guitar lessons. Not really feasible to hold off production to learn an instrument when rent is due now is there :)
He's basically showing you how to make cool electronic music. Like, if you make electronic music and want guitar in it but don't know how to play. It's a cool video.
I'm gonna do this...you have to fake it 'till you make it...:-)
