i never knew marco polo had parts - on the begining boxset , the whole story got added to the edge of destruction without cliffhangers - it just ran the whole story through
Nice to see someone tackle this story with the real pics. Not trying to insult Loose Cannon or anything (they used what they could - AND it's in color!!) but it's nice to have the story with *real* pictures finally.
No... what I meant was, Loose Cannon didn't use the actual telesnaps. Their version is 100% promo pics or composites, because the telesnaps hadn't been discovered yet.
(Incidentally, though I don't believe they're credited, Loose Cannon did make the 40-minute telesnap version in "The Beginning" set.)
Contact Rumpio (first comment) and he'll tell you where to get them. BBC has allowed recons to be done on a non-profit basis (since even though they lost the episodes and many recons use photos & audio recording done at home, they still own the copyright)
I have a box set of the first few episodes and it has a recon of this one. I had no idea (after reading your description) how lucky we are to get this far in restoring it. pictures people took of their TV screen and home audio recordings? that would mean that among everyone in england, there might be more.
Well telesnap recons of missing episodes have been done by various groups, and the BBC have released narrated audio of all the episodes now - so people can at least listen to the stories. Newer recons keep coming out as people try and tweak or improve on existing ones (as technology moves on its possible to add features) but not sure much more viewer material exists.
I'm really suprised we don't see more animated versions like those few second doctor stories. I figure the fanbase for it would definetely exist.

I'm redoing this to improve the quality of the pictures and choosing better shots.
Working on episode 6 right now - hopefully I'll have it finished before the Keys of Marinus DVD comes out.

I am tired of these ancient episodes in still shots.

Then maybe get out there and help look for the lost episodes so we can watch the original

Loose Cannon use real pictures, they only used composites/other pictures when they have no other option.

Is there a full recons of Marco Polo on You Tube?

Recons are not allowed to be sold, but there are sites (filesharing and recon teams) to get them free.
