The belt it rubbing underneath the deck. Lift it up and you will see where the belt hangs down. There will be two two metal brackets that are probably rubbing on the belt as it passes by

I have a Nordic it make's the same sound...

they said it'll either get worse or it will go away with time ... so work it hard and call us back

did you figure out the source of the noise? - my mom's is making a similar noise - her's only makes noise when somebody is on the treadmill
