When I was a deeply zealous Witness, I never saw people as real people -- they were either Witness or Worldly (read Wicked), and sheep or goats. Ya know, she's telling the truth cause I remember a talk recently about how we can show humanitarian work and volunteer to help save people's lives through the message about God's word and that giving of your time and money to secular organizations was virtually futile. It is presumptious to assume Jehovah's Witnesses do not contribute to other relief agencies. I know many Witnesses that do. It is an individual choice to do or not do. Where they draw the line is not contributing to other religious organisations the same as other religious organisations do not contribute to their aid funds. Also it is well documented that JWs do help others. They opened their halls as relief centres and shared their relief packages with neighbours.

We had missionary in our hall this month from Haiti. Its true that our family was looked after immediately in Haiti but help was given to the injured and hungry by our doctors and volunteers. So many were helped by our brothers and sisters. You must understand if we could help the whole world we would. But we can't because it is too costly to save the whole world. You know this and its not right to make one religious group carry the burden of guilt for everyone.

When I was a deeply zealous Witness, I never saw people as real people -- they were either Witness or Worldly (read Wicked), and sheep or goats. Only after I freed my mind enough to think for myself was I able to view other people as humans who deserved compassion and individual assessment.

Ya know, she's telling the truth cause I remember a talk recently about how we can show humanitarian work and volunteer to help save people's lives through the message about God's word and that giving of your time and money to secular organizations was virtually futile. But that's not even what made me leave the Organization. It was seeing my ex boyfriend miss saying goodbye to his dying grandmother because he was disfellowshipped at the time. That did it for me.

none of it is proven. Science doesn't test God because God is untestable, beyond the knowledge and experiments of any scientist. Now if you'd read up on your history you'd see actual facts and documents (for example, the dead sea scrolls) and most importantly the Bible that have predicted events to come true. It is presumptious to assume Jehovah's Witnesses do not contribute to other relief agencies. I know many Witnesses that do. It is an individual choice to do or not do. Where they draw the line is not contributing to other religious organisations the same as other religious organisations do not contribute to their aid funds. Also it is well documented that JWs do help others. They opened their halls as relief centres and shared their relief packages with neighbours.

We had missionary in our hall this month from Haiti. Its true that our family was looked after immediately in Haiti but help was given to the injured and hungry by our doctors and volunteers. So many were helped by our brothers and sisters. You must understand if we could help the whole world we would. But we can't because it is too costly to save the whole world. You know this and its not right to make one religious group carry the burden of guilt for everyone.

I Have a appointment with my attorney this friday, he will in turn contact the DA. They will attempt to contact and make the necessary arrangements to get documents regarding the amount of money collected through "EX-JWSFORHAITI". The Watchtower Society does not discourage helping another human being in crisis. Naturally we would help our family members before a stranger . We are encouraged to love and help those in need, regardless… One has to question her sincerity. While on one hand she portrays herself to be so compassionate , she uses such a devastating disaster as a prop to express her hatred for another. She is full of hate….how can there be any room for love?

You are confused and giving mis-information. Not sure why you stated JW's are discouraged from giving donations to other organizations. I gave to the Haitian relief fund and know several Witnesses that donated their time to help non-Witness victims from Katrina. Ex-witnesses always like to say something negative to try to justify their actions. Satan's spawns are alive and kicking
And by the way, what does being an ex-Jehovah's Witness have to do with making a donation to Haiti?
