@rcairpower: The control surfaces work like in any other conventional aircraft. The rotor head is fixed unlike in a modern gyro where it moves to provide directional control. The rotor gives this gyro 80% of it's lift and makes it 100% stall and spin proof.

As I understand it, this is a refurbished autogyro that used to belong to the Strawbridge family, of the Strawbridge and Clothier department store chain. They used to keep it at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA.
Nice machine. You should restore a cyclic pitch model.

Very inspiring flight. I love the sound of the radial and the aircraft looks soooo smooth in flight, graceful. I'd kill for a ride.
