  • Nice machine. You should restore a cyclic pitch model.

  • never seen an aircraft like that before!!

  • Very inspiring flight. I love the sound of the radial and the aircraft looks soooo smooth in flight, graceful. I'd kill for a ride.

  • @AirbikeRon looks slow as hell too!

  • this is my uncels aircraft i got more pics of it if anyones interested in lookin at them just message me

    ps synman95

  • Spectacular!

  • What are the functions of this craft?

    rudder

    elevator

    throttle

ailerons or roll of the rotorhead?

    Thanks.

  • @rcairpower: The control surfaces work like in any other conventional aircraft. The rotor head is fixed unlike in a modern gyro where it moves to provide directional control. The rotor gives this gyro 80% of it's lift and makes it 100% stall and spin proof.

  • Thanks so much for the info! I would love to see it in action one day and was wondering where it is now and where this footage was taken. Such a great video and the car at the end was a nice touch....

  • Nice footage!!!! OK....what is the story with this gyro? Where did it come from? Who rebuilt it? And is ther a wev site for more info?

  • As I understand it, this is a refurbished autogyro that used to belong to the Strawbridge family, of the Strawbridge and Clothier department store chain. They used to keep it at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA.

  • Jack Tiffany is the lead restorer in the project in Ohio.
