that's what I was saying there is no reason for another new card series. I can play my on 460GTX every single game with MAX settings even with Dx11 + Tessellation on is possible on 25~30 frame rate.the whole point is not about developing the techs but about their business. so that's why since 2006 we are still in the age of Dx9. there is a lil progress since 2006. the reason is the Console. it holds the step up of the technology.

Microsoft can bring Dx12 but they won't because it would affect to their xb0x360 console and sales of its games. Microsoft holds the entire technology because they got the Monopoly from OS ,Graphic API, and supporting to Hardware. , gaming supports. unless someone breaks this successfully this cycle would repeat in the next console life circle as well. the trend of OpenGL is bit low because of the pressure by the Microsoft.

@forceunleasher Get something trustworthy like a Corsair golden certified, AX series, or Seasonic X series, cause if you get something around 750-850w, that means you have a good warranty (7 years on the Corsiar), and you can use it for CF and you'll be able to use it for future builds!

Remember, you are going to need to overclock the i5 2500k when/if you crossfire the 7970s to avoid any bottlenecking.
