  • Well Mo does it again, helping the common Joe work their way through so many songs and here's another. It's a shame that people like Sheldon have to carp (maybe it's because he's only got one nut)- if you don't like the count of chords move on. As Mo says he's responding to requests and if the song has more than three chords he still does it. What do some people want? The good thing is negative comments are suffocated by the good ones - keep up the good work Mo!

  • @millsk99 Thanks for getting it and for your support! Very much appreciated :)

  • thanks dude! super helpful!

  • Mojo, you not only rocked the song, but did it in style. Diggin' the sweater.

  • hey love your keith urban breakdowns. you makem playable. if ur ever in Wisconsin, first brews on me. and bring a sweater, it's really cold.

  • this was so well explained. Thanks so much for helping someone who is just learning. i am going to go through all your videos for help. so happy i found this!

  • great tutoral! :)

  • anyone figure out what the strumming pattern is? If so, can you post it?

Thanks in advance for any help

  • great lesson man ... for me it's very useful because i don't have a capo :D , don't waste your words on trolls like ssheldon , that's what he wants , attention ...

  • hi.can you teach the strumming pattern as well?

  • Hey great video! But i was just wondering, is there any kind of alternative for an F Chord? I cant play it atall!! If not do you have any advice on how to play them? I am on a pretty basic level on guitar at the moment and could really use some help with this! |Thanks :)

  • @007PinkFlamingo007 Just practice it

  • Thank you!

  • Dude, not only are your lessons great but you can sing very well. Thanks for giving back... much appreciated!

  • Hey can you lease teach the strumming pattern please?

  • Haha You Like Lloyd Christmas Here

  • Hey Mojo,

Wanted to say thanks for all the AWESOME free lessons you're providing. Keep up the great work because in my opinion, you're definitely one of the best instructors on the net and don't listen to the ones that keep bashing due to the song(s) not being exactly "3" chords.

They're just upset that they have to count that high to do the lesson. It is pretty difficult to try to count to 6 using your fingers, make chords and strum at the same time lol.

  • can you tell me what the strumming pattern you use on this video is?

  • God I love that song. Didn't think I could play it with these basic chords. We of all people should know, it's a lot easier to learn something if you're interested in it. So, for me, playing this song would help a lot. I'll sure try it tonight and hopefully get it right, ;)

Thanks a bunch for this awesome tutorial.

  • For the ignorant folk who don't understand the concept of an free EASY guitar tutorial by complaining that some lessons teach more than 3 chords...so WHAT?? Most of the chords are still easy to figure out by quickly checking a chord chart. This is still easier than the way most people teach songs for beginners. If they feel THAT advanced, there are plenty of complicated tutorials out there: go there and quit making ignorant remarks on here.

  • Awesome lessons mate. I tried for years to teach myself to play guitar with little success. My little brother put me onto your lessons here on the Tube about 6 months ago and I'm rollin' on strong. You are a deadset legend my friend. Keep up the awesome, FREE lessons. The more chords that are in the songs the better I look when I can play them:)

  • Pay no attention to comments such as Mr/Ms SSheldon23s. What you are doing my man is a thankless service that most appreciate greatly. Not everyone would take the time to breakdown otherwise complicated music and teach it in simple chord progressions so knuckle heads, such as the aforementioned, can attempt to play it at weekend kool-aid parties for their peeps. Keep up the good work!

    mDt

  • Thank you for the kind and supporting words. It means a lot to me!

  • Great lesson.....MIANE!!!!!wow I'am in N.B.Keep up the good break downs...learning alot!!!

  • If you're in Maine sometime, the first brew is on me ;)

  • sounds great.....I think you must know ezzy's...I dont live far from that! Thanks for the invite and I thank you again for what you are doing!!!

  • Great lesson Mojo! Some people on here are just complete idiots! Keep the vids coming! How about "Stars on the Water" or "The Fireman" as a lesson!

  • three chords my left nut, where did you learn to count? You just listed 6!

  • What is wrong with you people? Most of these videos are done by request. i do not control the requests that are made... I just answer them. Why not just be happy that a free lesson is being offered?

  • It's crazy how people are so ungrateful OO

  • Pretty sure this isn't three chords. False advertising.

  • capo 2nd fret. G,D,Em,C

  • damn nice tele

  • love your video's..you're really helping me out =)c'est très bon ;) =P..(don't reply in French!! =P..only have French at school)I've been fan for country/blues since 1 year..and I've been dying to play this song! =)

  • thats 6 chords not 3 chords

  • Correct... that's also a request, not something I would normally have done ;)

  • i thought it was a good lesson also

  • thank you so much!

  • Any more videos coming soon. Thanks CJ

  • Just uploaded two in the past three days :)

  • That was wonderful, thank you. (And it's cold here in Boston too!)

  • I live two hours north of Boston... I assume it's cold there too as well :)

I need to take the drive south and go guitar shopping on of these days... though I just bought another Tele last night, so maybe I should refrain for now!

  • Hey, you think you could do "Raining on Sunday" by Keith Urban? You're a great teacher and I'd really love to learn how to play it cause I love it so much.

  • I have never heard of the song, but I can sure look into it :)

  • wow Thanx mister-5/5 :) u jus made my whole day!

  • Hey, do you think you could do "Raining on Sunday" by Keith Urban. It's a great song and I'd really like to learn it. Thanks, you're great.

  • hey mojo great singing.would you think about doing a hotel california lesson i think that a bit of the eagles would fit in well with the lessons you do

  • Thanks for the kind words. Tha'ts a great idea! I love the Eagles - grew up on that stuff, as a matter of fact :)

  • well you have helped me alot its the least i could do

  • Glad that I could be of help :)

  • great videos nice job

  • Thanks!

  • Hi Mojo, thankyou for all the great videos.

Reading all the comments I see everybody feels the same way.

It`s hard to get the time to take lessons, it`s almost impossible to book lessons being a shift worker. So it`s very much appreciated all the work you do.

Your lessons are lot`s of fun and easy to understand.

I only have one request, could you please do Honky Tonk Woman by the Stones, lots of great riffs in this one.

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Big fan, Laurence

  • Thanks for the kind words. I will look into that song. The Stones are always a good idea!

  • chapeau intéressant.

  • Hey Mojo; Thanks for the great video. I been working on this song for a little while; just needed to see how someone else would play it. Once again thanks. Good luck in 08

  • My pleasure :)

  • Mojo; The guitar and sweater match, that is what I call style. Thanks for all of the videos this year. Have a good 2008.

  • Ha ha, hadn't thought of that! :)

Thanks for the good wishes... to you as well!

  • Another great song learned. You are so awesome, I am very thankful that you do this for free. You must have a true, genuine love for sharing the gift of music.

  • Yes sir, I do. I believe that music brings out the best in us. I get a lot of joy from doing this. I receive wonderful emails daily, and it puts a smile on my face. Plus, I get to give back for the opportunity I was given when I started out. Can't beat that with a stick!

  • Been following your work for a while now and I must commend you on the videos you present, FREE. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, and I still can glean something useful from your videos. A new set of eyes and hands on a particular song or playing in general is always helpful. What I really like is your easy to understand approach to teaching. It takes a true love of music to do what you do for the benefit of others. Thank you. If you have an Esquire, I'd love to see a lesson with one.

  • Thanks for the kind words. I am getting a lot of fun with this adventure. I had no idea it would develop the way it did, but I am psyched that it did :)

I do have an Esquire. I will have to dust her off and record with her. The Crook Tele has become my #1 and sees most of the action :)

  • Glad to see you back. I look forward to seeing more of your video lessons. Nice job once again!

  • Thanks! Two new videos today as linked on our forum at 3chordguitar dot com :)

  • I hear you, My work is seasonal, thank God,not this season, lol, I know what you mean, hoping to go down to Fla. in Jan. Have you thought about doing another Keith Urban song,"making memories of us" good song, I don't think to hard for most people.

  • It's been requested. I am not familiar with it but I will look into it. I wasn't familiar with this one either, for that matter :)

  • Mojo, I get the sweater thing ,I'm here in Sturbridge,MA and its cold here too

  • 28 bloody degrees out there today... and my wife wonders why I didn't want to leave the house when I had to go out on a work assignment :)

  • I'm glad you're back and well, I'm sure I speak for everyone else, we have missed you.

  • I am touched by all the kindness that has been expressed towards me. You guys are the best. Thanks!
