  • I have a smile on my face.

  • Remember watching this show with my family. The opening intro alone is so damn memorable. I dont care what people say, the 90s were the last great decade

  • @prowrestlingfreak agree, in 2000s shows where not that good and after 2005 there has been almost no good shows, miss old days so much

  • thanx! it's been so many years since I've seen this as a kid,

  • I used to beat up my little brother to this music and pretend I was a cop.

  • @GladiatorGT lmao!

  • i miss this tv show. i used to watch it all the time when it came on fox back in the 90s.

  • one of my favorite shows.

  • This, Law and Order and NYPD blue are the best cop shows ever written

  • I was between the ages of 4 and 8 when the whole series air on fox!!!!!!

  • yea they definitely should put this on dvd....

  • Why isn't this on DVD yet????

  • This was my shit! I was only in my early teens! Maybe it lead to my later Law and Order fix's as an adult at 32yrs i need off USA channel?!!! LOL

  • this was my favorite show in the 90s and the wire in the millenium

  • Love them 90's jams...song needs to be longer.

  • Damn I remember this came on Thursday nights after Living Colour, Living Single, Martin. I moved to the DMV area when I got my first job couldn't wait for 7pm to watch the line up on those cold winter nights.

  • no seriously someone make a custom loop of 0:09-0:17.

  • i feel like a bad cop when i hear this theme

  • I think i was 7 or 8 years old when I first watched New York Undercover, when it came on the USA network.

  • 0:32 President David Palmer

  • This and Matlock were my favorite crime shows. Gosh I miss the 90's so much.

  • I was 6 years old when this show came out classic NYU!!!!!!!!! BRING BACK THE 90's

  • I loved this show!!! Martin would come first, then living single, and then New york undercover. It was the greatest line up!! 1995 sums up the 90's, fun, cool, and hip. I stoped watching the show when they killed eddie and had a white...or jewish cop come in.

  • NY Undercover was the shit!! Watching this show now just takes me back to mid 90's nyc. There will never be another era like this....ever!

  • This brings back so many memories.

  • wow eddie is smexy!!!!! lol ;)

  • Anybody knows the name of the group that sings My Cherie Amour in this excellent show?

  • I LOVED this show!

  • Best Cop show ever !

  • This show was way before its time

  • It sad to see the twin towers in the background

  • Man, I miss my childhood!

  • 1994 NYC (specifically QU--I was out in Rockaway at that time--and BK) right here, suckers! I was going to 105 on Beach Channel Drive in '94, and EVERYBODY, young dudes/young chicks/and even some teachers, watched this show. '94 & '95--damn straight! Not surprisingly, the most talked about episode of this classic series among our crowd at the time was the "You Get No Respect" episode from February of '95. B.I.G., Sticky, Treach, Ed & Dre (where was Lisa G.?! :D)--EVERYBODY was in that one! It...

  • ...was a big deal the very next day (Friday, February 10th, 1995) at assembly. You motherfuckers from mid-90's NYC public schools remember those assemblies! :-) All everybody ever did at those fuckin' things was talk! Lol! Well, we damn sure did talk about that "You Get No Respect" episode that cold-ass February day in '95. Everybody in at least the first 3 rows of the auditorium was asking each other, "Yo, you see NY Undercover last night?"-"You saw NY Undercover last night?". Lol! Obviously...

  • ...just about 90% of the auditorium had seen it. In fact, that may be the highest rated episode ever for the hood. :D What a Friday that was... And the show was obviously brand-new in early-'95, so there wasn't any syndicated episodes on t.v. anywhere. I HATED waiting till the next week to see a new episode. But, like everyone else, I did. Man...those were the times on network t.v. (particularly FOX; now Faux). That 1998 "season" really broke my heart. But I am glad it's on TV-1 today for the...

  • ..."swag" generation to see. (Those nut-asses are trying to figure out why they can't watch it on their "smart" phones. Lol!!!) Especially the 1994 and 1995 episodes. That's television platinum (not that other show from 2003 on UPN, BTW!) right there. I'll never forget it or the times...

  • This theme song just takes u back to the good old days. Miss the 90's

  • I love love love this show!! i was too young to watch it when it first aired.. but now i'm 21 and find myself catching the reruns on tvone.

  • man i remember this when i was maybe 3 or 4 years old when i seen that show

  • Im 17 from the Bronx and I fucking love this show . This cop show was up there with Law & Order SVU . It's messed up how they cancelled it . Couldnt stand to see an "ethnic-led" show do so well . I wish I could find links to all the episodes prior to Michael DeLorenzo's death . Plus the theme song was BOOM . I dead put it on my ipod . lol

  • @ChiRollSOLO Its cool when 2days youth take to something when i was younger. The way you feel about this show 2day is the way it was, even mo bcuz it was airing.I think you are 100% right about why it got cancelled,it was too fresh,as a kid then i identified tho i'm not from the N.Y.There was nothin like it man probably never will be again.I'm glad ya'll get to make what was our generations yours too.

  • This was the shit! My dad used to love this show. Now that I'm older(and they replay it every day) I can see why he liked it so much!

  • diz da jam where can you get the ring tone of diz

  • this show is da bomb it still cums on TV one every day at nine pm and am channel 71 loooovvveee u Michael delorenzo u cute thang

  • this was my show growing up in the 90s. they were like miami vice but with street edge.

  • Malik yoba wants to bring the show back? Is this true?

  • There is no NYU without eddie, eddie is a really important addition to the show and then he dies later in the show?!! It's sad that they had to lose Michael De Lorenzo and had to do major cast changes, that sucks. R.I.P. Eddie Torres.

  • nice high quality video , i also couldnt wait for thursday .....just to watch it ...

  • I couldn't wait for Thursday, just to watch this show.

  • 0:09-0:17 is the only part we all like. LOOP IT NOW! lol

  • This is my ringtone!!!!

  • @VisionimagifyTV same here my aunt turned me on to it... its makes me sad watching the reruns cause alot of the musical guest are dead on that show :(

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm You may b right but i think that Law and order appeals to a different audience......... I for 1 liked new york under cover better. it seemed to have a lot of style.. as did miami vice..both had up to date music scores with hip celeberty guest stars.. law and order was just damm smart and the had that hook with that law and order sound.............DINK...DINK..!!!

  • the ringtone of this is on "ZEDGE" droid app. I just downloaded it. LOL

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm LOL, good idea! Dick Wolf probably wouldn't care though cause he's made so much money from Law And Order, which I don't even think that show is as good as New York Undercover was and it's been on for years! Why? LOL...

  • Every time I hear this theme song or see it I always get goosebumps, and chills down my spine. Because it just brings me back to that time when I was a child in the 90's and how I was in love with this show. I remember my mom use to let me stay up late at night just so I could watch it at eight a clock every Thursday night. LOL

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm LOL, wow, I think that would be a great idea really! People would surely go crazy! Here's an idea too...if JC woke up and realized that the entire fourth season (without Torres) was just a dream and then he comes back to reality and realizes that he's been having that nightmare for years, but that's all it was, a nightmare. Also, his son G ended up becoming a cop like him...what do you think? Just a thought of course...LOL

  • @babygirl77518 Nuf said on that.... I just read the comment that u made 5 days ago.....................Damm good idea

  • @clavical1 Thanks...

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm LOL, yes I heard that it was coming back but you know unfortunately it will never be the same. That show fit so well with the 1990s because of the good music and fashion trends and all. It was like a great cop show that spoke to minorities (African Americans, Hispanics, etc..) Most of the shows now feature mostly non-blacks...I bet Michael Delorenzo wouldn't even want to do it again cause I heard he was fired by the people over at Fox and Dick Wolf!

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm So true, they should have just ended the show after the last episode of the third season when J.C. had to go undercover in that prison! Not only did the format of the show change in the fourth season, but all the great soul music was gone too.

  • I've seen a little. It feels like a 90's Miami Vice. I like it. And is it just me or were the sets reused for SVU? Long live the Wolf.

  • I haven't seen no cop show that has come out as good as New York Undercover in years! Too bad the fourth season sucked though! This could have been a long running sitcom.

  • I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! WOW! I will always remember the episode when the guy's wife was able to feel her legs again after being paralyzed!!!

  • my dad and i watched this show all the time back in the day.

  • i luv this theme ...man i miss the 90s style of things!! so much!

  • This is the only tv show with a sound track that's better than some of the movies sound tracks... I love this show!! Hope they do bring it back and if so all i wil be watching is this show and criminal minds..

  • man this should be a full length song or would be tight if someone sampled from it my favorite part of the intro theme from 0:09-0:17 that is such a smooth meolody

  • @ginlover92545 agreed

  • Comment removed

  • @ginlover92545 lol yeah, thats why i bother comming here all the time

  • @ginlover92545 love the jazz i wish tony toni tone would use it or someone with talent like jon b. or montell jordan it seems like you could sip a glass of merlot or chardonay with these beats they go hand in hand.

  • New York Undercover was the hippest cop show on television. The first 3 seasons were great with cliffhangers at the end of each season. The last season lost its edge with the death of Eddie Torres & Tommy McNamara. The new cast(minus Lt. Virginia Cooper) didn't help the shows success except for the vendetta JC & Moreno had for jordan in killing Eddie Torres.

  • @Irockgswift omg you are so right i jus saw the the last one and i die a little bit i cant belive they wld do something like this W/O thoes two the became a bust im very sad now

  • don't expect los angeles undercover

  • I totally forgot about this show. For a moment it was like I went back in time. cool.

  • DANM that was awesome and i dont use that word very much

  • miss this show! :-(

  • I used to watch this every Thursday night on Fox. Oh how I miss the 90's!! I still watch this whenever I can during the day on TVOne. By the way, why is the intro song so smooth? haha gotta love it.

  • @tonyajuanise Lol! You got it! Back in 95 I think the Thursday night line up went something like Martin,Living Single and NY Undercover. Me and my wife were still living in Queens, lol. Miss those simple days....

  • @panamaniak Yep I would watch the whole line up. I miss those days.

  • OMG!!! I remember this me & my mom & brothers use to watch this show. i like the hip hop jazz theme

  • Oh wow this actually made me tear up. I remember my mom and dad used to watch this together all the time. I would be on the floor at their feet watching and playing with dolls. memories man. thank you for posting.

  • @trinibabiigurl4lyfe Lol awww.

  • @trinibabiigurl4lyfe I remember me and my mom use to wathc this after marin and livng single and I would be doin home work or drawing

  • @childof83 Yeah thursdays on fox was the shit!

  • this one of my fav

  • Malik Yoba could have made it in the '80s, too btw!

  • This show was good until Eddie Died..then the used the Doctor from "Oz"..as J.C Williams Partner with start over cast and new complete storyline and it was just pure garbage.

  • @THYCHANIE Yeah!! This use to one of fave shows back in the day but when Eddie died, the show fell...HARD!! They changed all the sets and even Nina left, lame! Still, the first 3 seasons were BOMB! :)

  • Minority headliners!!!

  • i shed some tears when Torres got killed off. came out of nowhere..dont know why they had to kill his character off like that.. show did not seem the same without him after that.. loved this show and to me this set the platform for the later shows to come like "Oz" and "The Wire" (which are good shows too). everyone had a role in one of those shows later on anyways..

  • Wish there was a replay button on this joint lol

  • I used to love this show when I was little. Too bad the stupid white guy decided to kill off a latino main character in order to bring on more white people. Plan backfired & it ruined the show

  • This was my show!!! And this was my theme!!!!!! One of the best in tv history.

  • 2 people are blind and deaf!

  • classic

  • This was a cool show.

  • And this is how the cast should have stayed. Season 4 was garbage.

  • dis was my shit gotta love the 90's. Females in the hood had a crush on malik and michael when this show on was on,on god lol

  • can any1 name who was in a michael jackson video and which video it was.

  • @bigchunn "Eddie Moreno" Michael DeLorenzo in Beat It.

  • great show, i remember watching when i was a kid, i was in the 1st and 2nd grade during the first couple of seasons, as a kid i remember ice t and jc going at it, ice t killing jc's girl, the kid mouse getting killed by the gang, and the scene from the season 3 finale with eddie being killed. i still watch and record the reruns on tv one, i didn't really remember the 4th season at all as a kid but after watching it all i could do was shake my head at it lol, great show for it's time,

  • WORD... And the series ran from 94 - 98

  • WORD

  • this was taken from the blondes have more fun ep

  • It used to come on thursdays, right after MARTIN and LIVING SINGLE.This was one of my favorite shows ever,i still watch it on T.V.ONE.Where are the shows like this,i still hate they changed it up.EDDIE shouldnt have been killed.THE powers that be killed this show b4 its time, because it was TOO URBAN FOR SOME.but all races watched. It was just great T.V.

  • @swacfan100

Malik said what did this show in, was that it was too hip hop before hip hop became pop culture. People have to remember it wasn't really until 2000-2004 that hip hop became the most popular music/culture.

  • Si t.v also aires it also (=

  • Oh BTW everybody this comes on TV One now lol! It's still as good as when it first came out too!

  • what yr was this in?

  • @luckypapi87 If my memory serves me(cause I was little then like 7 or 8 when it came out lol), it came out in 94 or 95'' and ended I believe around 98'? Just a rough estimate, u should google it lol!

  • @JayMBeeMe thanks though

  • @luckypapi87 1994-1995

  • yo this was my jawn back then yo, i was just watchin it a while ago on some channel

  • Great theme, great series of all time!

  • Damn son, one of many shows that ended way before their time!

  • is it just me or does eddie remind you of kid from kid n play??
