  • would be better if it were a 40 year old woman

  • That's a cool Kitty ;)

I want to pet one too!!

  • Thumbs up if you got here from the exotic animals loose in ohio!!!

  • Thumbs up if you got here from Chris Brown....

  • Also one more question I forgot to ask. Would He/She protect your house like a dog would, if He/She felt you or Him or Her were endangered?

  • @dgk990 I think his just being there would be enough to protect most houses. Crooks would look for easier pickings.

  • I heard that cheetahs are the best tempermented cat that you can get besides a house cat, but not a lot of people have them because they are endangered. Also do you take Spirit for walks on a leash? Does she try to get out of the leash at all? Also do you think a cop would do anything if he seen you walking Spirit in public?

  • @dgk990 Spirit actually lives on a large ranch up in the mountains, Wade, and enjoys life without a chain or leash, most of the time.

I would not trust many cops to react calmly to seeing him in public, though some might.

  • It's so wonderful to see such a healthy, happy looking cat being kept so well. Without people like you, most of us might never get to see them.

  • O... cougar petting, my mistake

  • You have no right to keep a cougar, serval, or any other cat who belongs free in the wild. There should be no "working movie star" animals - did anyone ask them if they wanted the job? People like you make me sick. Animals do not exist for your pleasure.

  • I would really like to become friends with one of those kittens :)

  • Nice!

  • Thanks for the interesting video.....

I think I would be too afraid to pet such a Big Cat.

I would just hope it was in a good mood that day. LOL.

    Best Wishes! : )

  • cougar looks kinda fat, should be jacked

  • ....KITTY!!!!!

  • -_____-

  • /watch?v=xrqxobYRdIY

  • It makes me smile seeing it still play around like a house cat

  • it's amazing how similar their mannerisms are to regular housecats. i want a pet cougar goddamnit.

  • Thats so cruel

  • aaawwwwwwwww

  • Boring, i wanted it to eat that nerdy guy :/

  • I know the title is "cougar petting" but for some reason i had this expection that the cougar was going to attack...scary

  • So super cute and awesome video and of course five stars. ***** stars.

  • awesome animal....can sense it's power..........it's been raised from young I presume :)

  • Excellent comment.

And yes, Spirit (2 years old, 120 pounds) has been been with humans since he was 7 weeks of age

    .

  • It is sad to see this beautiful, free wild animal on the chain...

What make this cat in this garden ?

  • Spirit, the puma (cougar, mountain lion) is a working movie star who paid me a short but wonderful visit. The chain was as much to protect him as everyone else. (If he had escaped, the police would have shot him.)

  • @PismoBeach Thank you for explanation...

I understand, that it is necessity....after all ...sad.

  • Cats don't need to be free. As long as they have their small bit of personal territory and receive love and food, they're alright. It is different with other animals, because they're not lazy.

  • @TheRadicalRyushin

    Do you ask him ?

    Certainly he love his chain.

Would you liked to be on the chain ?

  • Small cats grown bigger are cougers... sick

  • I'll pet YOUR cougar. :)

  • it doesnt want to be there. and it shouldnt be.

  • I Officially contracted Syphilis from this video thanks!!!

  • hey its Mr Rogers

  • Such an Amazing Animal/Cat but it is not a domestic Cat, Please and U am sure you respect and Please be careful! you like him or them but they might not know that unfortunately =|

  • why is this a video response to talor swift and kayne west

  • It says it is a responds to RWJ "Balls", and

    1) I can see a ball in the grass, and

    2) The cat may have balls, and

    3) It probably took balls to post this video

well -- really -- he probably just attached it as a responds to the most viewed video so as to get more people clicking his stuff... not uncommon spam practice... did that answer "why"?

  • 5/5

  • i saw you finger stroke lines on the coat as it moved away

  • Sigfreid & Roy

  • SO COOL! =-)

  • that is so cool!

  • That had to be such a wondrous experience for you! I think the Cougar has the prettiest face, and the Tiger has the prettiest coat.

  • Hes cute but I would be so afraid to be around him

  • Great vide0 Pismobeach!

  • hmm this looks like santa barbara.. or SLO?

  • wow!!! I would give anything for the chance to pet one of those cats!!! I envy you for having those beautiful creatures!!

  • 5/5

  • big cats are so much like domestic felines.

  • And there's a good reason for that: cougars are more closely related to domestic cats than to lions and tigers. They are really small cats grown large.

  • @PismoBeach there is NO such thing. a "domestic" cat would drag us down & eat us had it the size & power necessary. cougars are perfectly capable of man-eating. & the disgrace is the animal (cougar, wolf bear etc etc etc) is TOO often hunted down & shot because the human meat wasn't smart enough not to be prey. we are NOT above natural selection. nor should we be.

  • @NotTooObvious

Accept they will fucking destroy you hardcore style if you piss them off.

  • Cougars kick ass. X3

  • What a magnifiscent creature. They sound like a crying babe in deep woods of my home... There is nothing like prowling with them out there in the wild, but you know they have different interests when you communicate with them out there. Oh, the good 'oll days.

  • "Different interests" - very well put!

I encourage everyone to click on your name and thus to discover the joys of your superb list of favorites.

  • awesome! 5 stars!!!

  • Spirit is a very sweet cat, but you're incredibly lucky to see a wild & free one so close to home.

  • Awesome! I have always wanted to pet a mountain lion too! We saw a huge gangly male cross in front of our driveway within 15 feet of the car. I won't be petting that one. I put the mini horse in with the big horse - he isn't a deer Mr. Mtn Lion!

  • Are Puma Cougar Mountain Lion the same species?

  • Yes, Puma concolor (formerly classified as Felis concolor).

  • here kitty kitty kitty kitty

  • wow beautifull animal *****

thanks you know I love animals

  • Cool Cougar!!

    Is it de-clawed or anything??

  • No, but he was raised by kind humans from the age of seven weeks. His name is Spirit.

  • Steven,

    Sorry about the previous rating.

It was the default . . . and I didn't notice it until after I hit send.

  • So kind of you to say, Kate.

    Your views made it happen.

  • Aww what a nice kityy cat!

  • beautiful animal

  • cool.

    =)

  • very scary!

  • thank's cougar

  • Beautiful.

  • awesome!!

  • Big cat!

  • in my country for a few dollars. you can kill a lot of cougars if you want, very sad!!!

  • that is a beautiful cat! is their fur somewhat coarse or fine. I noticed your fingers left marks on the cat's side as he/she walked away, suggesting a thickness to the coat. anyway, thanks for sharing this lovely video.

  • Thanks, Gilbert.

Actually, his fur wasn't nearly so soft as a domestic cat's. More like an industrial grade carpet (for protection against weather and injury).

  • yeah, i guess with their tough lifestyle, their thicker skin, it makes total sense that their coats would be rather coarse. what's striking is that the cat is so calm throughout your hanging out with him/her.nice video.relaxing to watch.

  • Thanks for that....stay in touch

  • Beautiful cat...nice video!!! 5*****

  • Thanks Agustin.

And I recommend your masterful magic videos to everyone reading this.

  • that cat's a beauty!

  • wow is that you, padding the cougar? Man I love them I just do. They're one of my favorite felines

  • nice

  • This is an awesome experience !

I got to bottle feed a white siberian tiger and lion sub once, and play with them :]

I'll never forget it . Volounteered at a wildlife sanctuary :]

    I love cougars, so beautiful

  • Beautiful cat.

  • cool cat! thanks fro sharing

  • But can it paint!?

  • Well...in various parts of the country, this beautiful animal is called a cougar, a mountain lion, a puma, a panther AND a painter.

  • Ohahaha I laugh at that comment ! Great clip!

  • Cougar scouts, ATTACK!

  • Once in a lifetime experience! Cool!

  • I bet kitty would be much happier in the jungle. =(

  • Maybe. But he was born in captivity, eats very good meals regularly, gets medical care, is protected from all harm, and is loved.

  • Hi Steven, You are a great Dompteur!

  • nice kitty! we are marshmallows. lol. *****

  • The only way I would do that is if I just watched them feed the kitty moments before.

  • He was munching on snacks (chicken neck pieces)

  • big cat

  • 120 pounds (54 kg)
