i get these letters all the time and i just rip them in two, and then chuck it into the recycle bin.(i dont own a tv.) also when they send you these letters it is only a fishing expedition for your details. dont even bother calling them, as they are after "the occupier"..,(that isnt your name is it?)

Greencigar looks like you have some knowledge on common law by withdrawing your implied right of access to TV Licensing, that being said your knowledge could do with being improved. You have infact broken the law by recording a telephone conversation and sharing it with a 3rd party audience here on Youtube without first gaining permission from the person you recorded. See Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. Just a word of warning for any future pursuits!

I always write to them and say I have no TV and dont watch it because it's not worth the money, and never give my name, they always write back to say they will not contact me again. So this seems to work for me, and TBH I dont watch anything on TV, I watch the odd thing on Internet catch up, that's about it. They dont know that though and it works for me, so everyone get on it.

You don't need a TV license if you have a monitor or some other method of receiving RECORDED TV (e.g iPlayer), but of course the point of this video, is it's using Common Law, as opposed to Eleron Law (Maritime Admiralty Law). See UCC (Uniform Commercial Code), for further information on what you should be reading/watching!

You should have put them on hold for a couple minuets yourself making then listen to that song too. LOL

Also, you should have stuck to what you said in your previous letter and charged them the £1000 for sending that letter because otherwise they now know your threats are empty. Its the ONE rule all corporations stick too. You still have time to send your invoice because you need to show them you don't make empty threats. The date on your letter is all the proof you need,
