It's showing the area around the real Donkey Lady Bridge for those interested in the urban legend in and around San Antonio. If you're not familiar with the legend you won't get it, but thanks for watching anyway.

Stroy 2: A women loves her donkey so much like family, every day, she would take 1 at the bridge, one day a boy said he got bitten by a donkey, they wait at the bridge, then drown the donkey.

  • i have gone to that forest, but we couldn't find the bridge :( I think that they tore it down.

  • @Banohen It's definitely there, but as mentioned in previous posts, it's been built up into a public park now. You can find the exact location in the paragraph beneath the video courtesy of Google maps.

    Thanks for commenting!

  • i think the dog that pops up at u at night is the donkey lady's gaurdian

  • Was this blocked off when Toyota moved in a built a brand new highway bridge over the entrance and exit of this road?

  • @melissatx75 No, it is now part of a park.

  • I from boerne 40 miles from here and I've been to the bridge. It's fucking eerie on a summer night

  • I have been at this area late night before, lots of fog, long dark roads, a few owls staring at you, and a dog who jumps up to your driver side window and looks you straight in the face. Its definitely a spooky spot to be at night.

  • @localvic

Yeah, I think there's a reason that urban legends persist around areas like this, and your testimony attests to this.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • aha there was nothig there

  • the musics so dramatic lol, but it totally suits it :)

  • I've been to this place it's in a park it's kinda boring

  • if anyone goes...go with a shotgun.... just in case :)

  • @killertellitubby

Well, just make sure you don't shoot anyone else who happens to be checking out the bridge late at night. :)

  • @kotsu777 true...I GOT A HUMAN AND a DONKEY FREAKlol jk

  • Respond to this video... i have a feeling u didn't put a fake donkey lady in the video for a reson i also feel you didn't show us everything that went on in the video that day either now why is that

  • @kyubbi767

What happens at the Donkey Lady Bridge... stays at the Donkey Lady Bridge.

    ;)

  • the donkey lady dosent exist, i went there as a kid swimming at NIGHT and nothing happened.

  • @somthingnew6969

Sure you did... sure you did... ;)

  • @somthingnew6969 so if i fuk a girl there..wut stays there?

  • I'd only go in the daytime too, haha.

  • they should make a movie about this

  • @NikoBellic009

Absolutely. Unfortunately Stanley Kubrick has passed on, but I'd happily direct it in his stead. :D

  • lol wheres the lady donkey person thing???

  • @H3rM0sA123

It was daylight so she takes refuge in the woods. :)

  • @kotsu777 that's so true.

  • were at in san antonio is this

  • @183alw

You can find the exact location of this bridge via the drop-down underneath my video.

  • i would be shitting my pants and maybe cry :)))))))

  • hey this is a story someone told me and they said at the end it was just payback for making their friend go to jail and the monster (towns people call it the "witch") and he said at the end it was a manic-an

  • @Julibean28

There are so many permutations of this story. I think it's what makes the legend interesting.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • hey i live in SA, where's that at, and what's the story behind this place

  • @xfernydrummerX

You can find the exact location of this bridge via the drop-down underneath my video. As for the urban legend, a quick google will yield a lot of different variations of the tale.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • dude thats not the bridge is it because ive been there with my family but i live in universal city.

  • Just got back from there today and even though the city has designated it a natural trail area and is gonna extend for about 20 miles it is a spooky place!!!!! Freaked me out cause while walking on the trail down below the main bridge the dog came out of nowhere and kept following me while heading to the old bridge. The thing that caught me about the dog was it had a blue eye and a red eye no kidding. Anyways when I got to the bridge I turned around that that damn dog was gone!!!! out of nowhere

  • @joesolese

Yeah, the thing that struck me while surveying the area was just how genuinely creepy the place was even during the daylight hours.

Maybe the dog was the Donkey Lady in lycanthrope form or a Hellhound. ;)

Thanks for viewing and for the comment! Next time you go take some pictures/videos to post and link me.

  • @ironmanqqqq

I've never been there in the evening/early morning, but from surveying the surroundings during the day I would imagine it would be quite creepy during the evening.

It's an urban legend, but thanks for viewing and commenting!

  • the area looks pretty freaky, especially at night, what with the trees and river

  • It's real I actually went sat. May 6 and while in my friends truck he stuck out his head from his window and was staring looking too see if he can see anything and he said WTF look do you see that when I looked out you could see someone dressed in all white looking at us from beneath the bridge then it slowly started walking toward us so yea pretty scary

  • I'm a fire fighter at Toyota and we get some good stories from that bridge

  • i live in SA but i dnt believe this crap

  • the toyota plant took that land over

  • the bridge is still there, but the area has been renovated. The bridge now has a gate across it, and there are paved walking paths and info signs all over the area. It's still pretty creepy, but near as forbidding looking.

  • @x10kx

This video was shot just before the renovations started. You could see (although not in the video) that they were preparing for construction work in and around the area.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • I like the music >:D

  • @cokeorpepsi199

Thanks! It's eerie, isn't it? It's from "The Shining" motion picture soundtrack. This track is called "Rocky Mountains".

  • the one thing that pisses me off about this is the fact that he runs away from the supposed "ghost" if he really wants to know if its a real ghost then hes gonna have to go toward the "sightings"!!!!!!!!! Only simple logic dumbass!

  • @bigdawg439 This is just a video of the bridge and surrounding area as I take a stroll with a camera. There is no "sighting" here, just a glimpse of this infamous bridge that is the stuff of urban legend here in San Antonio.

  • man..you mean to tell us you used to SWIM in that water? that water is sewer run off dude! That's why it stays green all the time man!

  • So is there still a bridge or has it been destroyed.

  • still a bridge. I would know i live in san antonio and visited it just this friday.

  • Interesting. I have lived here most of my life (age 55) and I never have known much about this. For some reason I thought it was on Callahan. Long way from Toyota, huh?

  • i dont get this?who is donkey lady is it a lady with a donkey head or something?

  • i went there last week. my family goes once a yr. but its freaky cuz if yu look at it close up at nite... theres a little house with one light on. HAHA sumones not frm here and dont no bout the donkey lady!!!

  • i live by there =/

  • watch out for the donkey lady !!~!

  • its only scary because the mexican mafia dumbs bodies there. im not even kidding

  • i want 2 go there yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this shit pisses me off they fixed the freking bridge u can't even drive threw there anymore! not scary anymore!

  • not really i was looking at google earth and there is a back way and u can jump a curb and go to the bridge in a car

  • Some say that the Chinese woman in South San Antonio died that cold November evening, but some say the survived the fire.

  • wut? lol

  • It is said that the Donkey Lady roams this bridge on all fours, with the sounds of her bones going click, clack, click, clack, on the pavement of the street and bridge.

Not many have been to the bridge, but a lot of people have heard there version of the Donkey Lady Story. This was mine, if I think of anything else I will be sure to add more.

Directions to The Donkey Lady Bridge

The bridge is located at the corner of Applewhite Rd. and W. Jett Rd.

  • why is there so many haunted things here in san antonio hahahaha at least we get entertainment out of it

  • thats what I think! its good living in san antonio... I will never move out!!!

  • What is the Donkey Lady Bridge?

The Donkey Lady Bridge is located on the South side of San Antonio. It is a very small, odd looking bridge that very out of place. The bridge is one way, so on coming traffic must stop and let others go by before preceding. At night the bridge is highly dangerous, due to the woods, darkness, and creek bed below.

  • @mrandrew55555 And donkey lady

  • i like how the camera thinks its going to splash right out of the water

  • hahaha right??

  • So where exactly is the bridge? Street name or location??

  • Hey JustLoult, read "more info" under "kotsu777" in the upper right hand corner of this page. It has a link to the exact location courtesy of Google Maps.

  • were u nervous when u filmed this cuz i live in san antonio too and to this day it gives me chills when my friends talk about the donkey lady

  • If the Donkey Lady was real she would have died of old age by now, think about it.

  • its a ghost

  • thats like the goat man of waco

  • yes - i leave near the apartments - 4 miles down the road on somerset rd. san antonio ,tx. try this at 2am - and honk 3 times and yell her name !!!! u will be scared to get out of ur vehicle.....

  • do people who live around there hear that shit alot? like honking and yelling...you know what would be funny...dress up like the donkey lady somehow and just run out and scare people who go there. i bet its gonne be a line on that bridge this halloween.

  • what if one of them homkey talks haves a gun!?

  • would be funny but would if someone had a gun and capped ur azz lol who'd be laughin then ayy?

  • id be one dead donkey....

  • yeah if ya say so,to attract her attention is if you honk the horn 3 times or yell her name donkey lady 3 times out loud as loud as you can, especially at night they say shell start throwing rocks at ya or prob devour you with her iron claws

  • I dont know about that but my parents tried when i was small..at least thats what i remember . They would just go out to places like that near halloween time. Anywayz they came back one early morning i saw my dad trying to fix the roof of the car it was all freakin dented in. Both of my parents were acting strange. So later i heard them talking to my uncle saying that they went to the bridge and well..it's kinda long so cut the story short they said it was the donkey who did that to the car.

  • Lol who ever believes this crap is crazy.Seriously the donkey lady?More like a demon

  • Demon... Donkey Lady... are you able to walk the bridge at night? ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • have u been there at night? cuz i have but i didn't dare to fu*k with that shit! lol

  • bro..its a bridge

  • dude like have you ever been there? i live here in san antonio, i use to live a few streets down from there and i would here some crazy shit at night.

Crazy and freakin scary up the ass!

I can here something like a donkey but a female whaling. Kinda hard to explain. But enough for a though girl like me to be petrified.

  • yea i libe here too .. if no one had ever told you a "Donkey lady" was there what would you think? i honestly am going to drive up to that bridge this halloween and sit there for fucking ever honking and screaming and playing loud music and everything...wow it would be a JOY to die by the donkey lady..imagine how that would look at the morgue...besides...its a woman mixed with a jackass...thats a double whammy.. ;)

  • lmfao double whammy!

  • yup! well if she ever wanted or love a donkey and didn't believe in god then she is well can be in donkey form ya know.

  • i actually saw that shadow move from 2.26-2.27, very nice flick though. I'm a huge paranormal fan an was disappointed with the haunted tracks cuz it is a downhill, ppl just don't notice it cuz it's night time but go in the day and you'll see. EVP's there are a different story though lol

  • Ok, so I went last night, and looks like the city of San Antonio is gonna make a "NATURAL AREA", where people can hike & bike out there, and this bridge has become part of that project. The bridge has a thick pipe acting as a gate, but obviously you can just go under the pipe to get on the bridge. Its still spooky & dark due to no street lights, just the moon. My friend & I were to chicken to walk it tho'.

  • Whats the cross street?? Applewhite and what?...is it Jett Rd, cuz I went out there and couldn't find it. So if someone can tell me, I'd appreciate it!!

  • There's a link to the Google map if you click on "more info" in the video description that will pinpoint exactly where the bridge is located. It's in the upper right hand corner of this page, and yes, it is W Jett Rd. I haven't been out there in a year now and people have mentioned a lot has changed recently. Good luck and beware of the Donkey Lady if you visit there by moonlight!

  • The area looks nice for hiking.

  • me and my 3 other friends went at night and under the bridge and saw who was brave enough to touch the water :D

  • i whas there too i whas freakt out man i whas realy runing like a man thats folowing of a puma i mscared

  • fuck that shit. its scary as hell. i almost shit my pants on sunday. we went and we heard hoofs getting closer and faster like it was running to us and we got the hell out of there. but its fun and i would do it again

  • but when i when there 2 nights ago i saw an old burned house gated up really freaked me out

  • I saw it to. There are also old crazy houses around there. My friend bet me $100 dollars I couldnt stay there for the night. I went running out after i could of sweard i heard somone saying somethign to me.

  • The lgend of the donkey lady, la llorona, has evolved into like, a million versions of the story and I don't think that this one is true.

  • this is the only donkey lady story google it

  • that looks like bunnyman bridge.

  • i've been here. her house is no longer standing, and the city is turning this area into a park so don't bother going there,

  • the bunnyman?

    haha

  • both the people i know from San Antonio save they have seen her. One says she saw a disfigured woman near a treeline at dusk that sacred her horses. The other guy said it was at 3 am and she was galloping around laughing so Im not sure what to believe but I think the fire is the true story.

  • Hey kotsu777, where does this bridge lead exactly? I had heard something about it being around the same area where they built that new Toyota place, is that correct?

  • When I went there and took this video, I only walked on the bridge from the main road which had a guardrail blocking it off (you can see my car in the background). It looked like there was construction being done in the surrounding area, which I'm told by posters here that this is a park being built. The Toyota plant is just down the road. If you click on "more info" in the vid description you can see a Google map of the exact location. Zoom out and you can see the Toyota factory nearby.

  • Have you ever tried the phone #: KEEP-IT-1? That was the number for the Donkey Lady, a classmate told me in sixth grade. Suspposedly, when you called it, you could hear a donkey, or as some others say, a donkey being tortured. I tried it a couple of times, but it was always busy.

I think it did happen, but as a joke, like some teenagers imitating the noise, and then they dropped it, and so now the line's busy??? IDK

  • I'm going to go there on Halloween night with my friend, D: LOL

  • Theres another place called Woman Hollering Creek between Seguin and San Antonio,i used to drive by there on some of my road trips from west texas, although i never pulled over to see if anything would occur ,it's very creepy and of all things there's a house down by the creek, not sure if it was inhabited or not but who in their right mind would want to live there?

  • Yeah, I'm relatively new to San Antonio and I looked for that on a recent trip from San Antonio to Houston. I had my camera ready and everything but zoned out and missed it. Oh well, maybe next time. Anyway, thanks very much for the post!

  • that ain't shit. I'm not scaryed.

  • Looks really creepy! :O You wouldnt catch me no were near a place like that! even in the day time!!!

  • The guy with the camera has guts to be out there filming it..

  • Yeah thats trough! I know its bad there at night, but being there in the daytime, when your all alone by yourself, could be scary to.

  • I was safe. My 4-year-old daughter was with me. :)

  • Yeah! Thats good! I know the storys about that place, I just find it scary and interesting at the same time,

  • I've always been fascinated by places like this and the legends surrounding it. There is a very similar place on the east coast called "The BunnyMan Bridge". Do a search for it here on YouTube.

    Thanks for the comments!

  • Your welcome, your video is great! thank you for telling me about The BunnyMan Bidge! ive never heard of that one before but i will go look it up now,

i find it all fascinating to! but i dont think i would be as brave as to go see these places myself, =)

  • whats the story?

  • Well the Donkey Lady was originally meant to be a lady that was badly burned in a house fire, and came back to haunt the bridge, or so the story gos! :)

  • I live in San antonio and where exactly is this bridge found?

  • Click on "more info" in the description to the right. There is a link with the exact location courtesy of Google Maps. PM me if you are still having trouble.

  • i went there but at night with some of my best friends (it was like 6 of them) and we brought our guns i had a shotgun, pistol and the other guys had the same weapons as me and one of my friends brought his M4A1 and we honked our truck and something comes out outta nowhere and we started shooting at the donkey lady and she sound like she was in pain then i shot her in the leg and she ran away and my friend with the M4A1 and shot her unitl the clip is empty

  • I'm glad I wasn't on the bridge admiring the moon. ;-P

  • @AntonioRodriguez1234 NO WAY? ARE YOU SERIOUS

  • It doesn't look that scary during the day, but at night it is.

  • I was there this past saturday with 3 of my friends, at 3am in the morning, we heard some noises but nothing serious, nothing happened and it has been turned into a park like some of you have mentioned, dang it was a waste going there...

  • my dad use to do this all the time when he was a kid,but i never wanna go there,0.0

  • no problem.

  • i drove over here today to pass on the bridge only to find out they have it closed and blocked off. theres also another bridge just a couple miles ahead thats supposed to be haunted as well. it does look like they are turning it into a park.

  • When I went there it was blocked off as well. I had to park at the guardrail and walk over to the bridge.

    Thanks for the update bradmann85!

  • Just went there last night its not even scary at all there is nothing to it. As a matter of fact there turning it into a park.

  • A park, hrmmm... that's news to me. When I went I did see that they were doing some sort of construction around the area. The surrounding area though is pretty rural, so I'm not sure if a park would be of much use at that location. Keep us updated if you get any new news!

  • do one on the one way bridge!!!

  • My friends and I actually went down to the bridge. They've been there multiple times when I've only been there twice. My first time going there I never heard anything, so we just left.

The second time was a bit odd. Again we didn't hear anything or see anything. We were about to leave when we heard something weird. It sounded like a steel cable snapping or falling.

Apparently a radio station and paranormal team found something here and at the Chinese graveyard... Calls for more investigation!

  • wow. thats kinda creapy. i know this location very well. theres also another bridge about a couple milre up the road thats suppose to be haunted as well. but with change i think the other bridge has been rerouted.

  • wut the fuck this isnt scary its stupid i saw nothing

  • Well, it's not supposed to be scary per se, but rather show you the location of an infamous bridge here in San Antonio, Texas. A lot of locals are curious as to it's location or what it might look like, so I took this short video. If you're interested in the Donkey Lady Bridge's history and the legend surrounding it I suggest you Google it. It's pretty fascinating.

  • I shroomed at DKLady Bridge at night several times. It IS scary as shit. The path under the trees was roach infested, and I thought every shadow was a snake.

  • ok i watched from 2:27 and on for about 7 times and i keep seeing the same thing. i dont know if its just the format of the video or the wind blowing but if you watch 2:27 and on and keep looking at the right hand side in the bushes by the road. you see a black shadow-looking dot disappear. could be just my eyes or the video itself. thought id share what i saw.
