i phoned for, canvassed and voted for obama in the indiana primary. it was the speech on race that inspired me to volunteer for his campaign. the speech denouncing reverend wright re-affirmed my decision. that's how a leader deals with a situation. this speech brought tears to my eyes at the closing. now i'm part of the voter registration drive and phoning the upcoming states. this cat gets it. america...we've been given a great opportunity to move forward. let's not fuck it up.
I live in Sydney Australia. Obama is truly an inspirational person that shows such commanding leadership! This is history in the making! America should be proud to vote such a candidate as Obama to be your next president! Best of luck - Australia for OBAMA
A fantastic man. I hope and believe he can be the next president of the United States. What I believe and the reality though may differ, but the greatest injustice would be if he lost the vote because of the colour of his skin. The injustice I speak of is not that a mixed race person didn't become the president but because the US and the world at large may have lost the chance of such an inspirational and compassionate leader with the smarts and common sense to heal the world.
I took a break from any interest in the nomination process because I felt so much pain for Senator Obama regarding Rev. Wright and the negativity heaped on by Senator Clinton. But now, well, let's just say I've come out of the shadows and probably feel more enthused than I did before. My cake was still there, but I knew I could save it for later. I did; and it tastes so good!
NC voters were NOT fooled by the media manipulations and out-of-context Wright debacle. NC voters, like all Americans, know OBAMA is for CHANGE! Indiana was the most KKK state in the 20/30's, it is still Clinton-country, apparently. No surprise. Everywhere else is voting for OBAMA for CHANGE to the racist system! Vote OBAMA!
With Obama as our president, it is possible that we may make peace with our enemies when they see that America really is making some fundamental changes in our foreign policy.
When Obama speaks, he is not just speaking to a single crowd, he is speaking to the world.
do you guys even have a clue who and what you're voting for? cons voted for bush twice, libs/cons vote for a guy who doesn't even know his stance on issues.. this country is all messed up... just shows how much emphasis on education we need in this country
I'm a South African but Mr. Obama speaks to me better than any of our own politician has in many years...it'll be a shame and disgrace if Americans do vote him president
"we CAN'T afford to seetle for a Washington where politicians only focus on how to win instead of why we should. where our politics dictate that we check our polls before we check our principles. where we calculate before we act on our convictions."
i've been following his champaing for like few months now.. and i totaly suport him.. even if i am from Lithuania :) i think he'll be perfect replancement :)
With Obama at the helm we can and we will change this nation and the world for the good of all man kind, for change starts with each and everyone of us, all we need is a leader that inspires us to take the first step.
The corruption and decadence that has fell upon our nations capital, is the same corruption and decadence that had caused some of the greatest countries in the world to fail. It brought about the fall of the Roman Empire, Germany's demise during two world wars, and the nation of Russia to have to revert to communism so that the people would be heard. If we continue with this same Washington, we risk that same fate. WE THE PEOPLE have a chance to save our nation from that fate. Support Obama '08!
I agree. They are trying so hard to tear him down but he keeps on proving to them that you can't keep a good man down. I love Barack Obama and he is our next president
This is probably the most defining moment in our American history since our hard fought Independence from British rule. We have a high moral responsibility America. An Obama for America presidency is much bigger than all of us. It will show the entire world that the words of our founding fathers hold true and are self-evident to our United States of America core beliefs. And that those words were not just words in the futile pursuit of achieving the American Dream for some, but for all Americans
I was so glad he was not for the gas tax. I knew once McCain announced the the gas tax holiday I knew it was full of crap. so I was happy to know he sees through the bull.
Nice; except if Hillary wanted to move the country forward she would have bowed out gracefully when she ran out of money. I do not vote Party; I vote candidates. Bush/Clinton/Bush and Clinton is staying the same and even Bill says he wants to go back to the 1990s.
