The movie didnt send a message that gandhi was a bad father. He practiced equality in personal and public life. That was his geatness. He was not like other politician father whotry to be moralistic in face of public but for their own family they sum up huge money to give a comfortable life to them. Gandhi never tied hands of his son to achieve gaols in his life. Harillal it seems to me is like one of the son who wanted their parents to give favors on name of love.
