I remember taking it when i was a kid and i dont remember those side effects at all. The only side effect i can remember was my change in attitude. My cousin came up to me, after I've been taking it for a year, without seeing him, and he said I changed. The other thing was my class work actually got done. What the media offers up on television as seen in this video, and in our society today is but a reflection of ourselves. We tend to hone in on the negative and sensationalize it, completely negating the wonders this drug has rendered. I personally was involved in extensive research projects regarding
Amphetamine salts (Adderall) as a Cognitive Psychologist (researcher), which I am, and specialized in addiction counseling. To be precisely accurate, it is not additive, and seldom ; seldom meaning rare in terms of a psychological addiction.
It would be more accurate to say that a few want to take it on a continued basis because, they feel it gives them an advantage. I can name, without engaging my brain, at least a dozen means and/or ways people achieve this. Yet we have become accepting of these methods even though they violate ethical and moral codes and standards.
So a person chooses Adderall as a means to obtain an advantage. If taken as prescribed it is not going to harm this person, out side of any FDA warnings that are posted as adverse side affects as is done with all drugs, both RX and OTC. These, as we know are rare in occurrence. Nor is it going to harm you or anyone else.
Why, if this works for this person, is it a bad thing or why should this be conveyed (wrongly) to the level that a talking head on the media declares it a seemingly increasing dilemma and speaks with little if any background affording him accurate clinical insight.
I believe he quoted statistics as being 10 million who suffer from ADD or ADHD and of the 10 million with ADD or ADHD roughly 1 million actually take Adderall leaving 9 million who take, either, another medication or simply take nothing at all. And sadly the majority, and I mean large majority of these 10 million fall in neither of the aforementioned categories but has one of its own.
A very large majority of the 10 million take nothing at all, and have no idea that it is, and has been ADHD or ADD that has caused them to fail at many tasks, goals or aspirations. Tasks, goals etc... that a person without the affliction would daily take for granted.
We have focused so keenly on this trumped-up idea, that the medications prescribed for ADD or ADHD are being wrongly or needlessly prescribed in such an outlandish, and enormous manner, that we have inexcusably forgotten, and overlooked the tremendous majority of these 9 million who needlessly suffer and experience tremendous hardships on an ongoing basis.
Now if this person has obtained it illegally, and I see that was noted in the video. Then it becomes simply a matter of breaking the law. But worthy of this type of attention? Keep in mind the stated internet in this video is clear, and that is acquiring the Adderall to excel in academia.
I am not sure about you, but I cannot help but to think of the dozens of acts, practices, traditions even, that factually take place on our college campuses today which are illegal, immoral, and unethical and are merely brushed aside or overlooked.
Some with far more dangerous life consequences than Adderall could ever have, and others which are extremely dangerous in terms of morals and ethics. Several having even severe legal repercussions. However, being that society finds some of these acceptable, it is brushed to the side and the continued practice, participation etc...goes seemingly un-prohibited.
To be honest, many of these acts and or practices are simply excepted, expected and not even given so much as a mention. We are a weird lot, we humans. No labels needed. We tend to label far too much instead of addressing core values. Makes it tidier correct?

Now caught with an illegal CAT II drug at a party. Certainly, haul their behinds before the Magistrate, but this is not the topic. This is aimed at those choosing a means to give them an advantage in this highly competitive world in which we reside.
So lets narrow the topic to a more sensible, and digestible format. Obtaining illegal pharmaceuticals to be used to excel in life for a short expanse of time or choosing to take Adderall on an extended basis to assist in enabling the person to be successful. I am not condoning the illegal possession of or the obtaining of Adderall illegal means. The focus needs to be set upon the taking of Adderall period!
The reality is; It matters not whether the person actually has ADD or ADHD for this topic, out side of illegal possession. What matters and should be looked upon is whether the Adderall was obtained in a legal fashion – from a licensed medical professional should there be a concern. Then immediately move past that on to the should be topic of Taking Adderall at all.
So if the person has gone through the legal channels and obtained the Adderall correctly, and is taking it as prescribed we then must accept it. It is that persons business and not our affairs. Yes, I said must accept. We do not have to like it at all or agree with it, but to free ones self of mental anguish we must accept it and move on.
While we are moving why not get your local media to do a show on the huge population out there that has no idea why they can never accomplish what they start, and day in and day out are plagued with this disorder. THAT WOULD BE WORTH WHILE!
PS! Again it is not additive and only claims a minute amount of psychological addiction. AND YES, it will most certainly and definitely assist you with your ability to focus. Clinical Tests in which I was involved in while living in England and doing research revealed astonishing affects, and none negative when taken as prescribed or within recommended dosages.

It takes about two days for your body to return to it's normal state after coming off of it for good. There is literally nothing bad about this drug in any way, besides the loss of sleep at first, which can be avoided by taking it earlier. This drug is AMAZING for work and being productive, it literally makes work fun. Seriously. Adderall is basically long lasting cocaine with a stronger effect and less of a comedown, so if you have never taken this drug look into it. Don't forget to eat :D
I am a bonified tweaker. Tweaking is basically a reverse of being stoned. When you're tweaking you have this euphoric mania and a desire to do anything and everything you possibly can to the best of your ability. Now again, how is this a bad thing? Its been proven that taking adhd medication doesn't have any long term effects, and having a piece of paper given by a doctor doesn't change this or the drug's effects. It is addictive, very true, but not sleeping for two and a half days is not true.

@MrEngineerNasa ritalin actually has less of a rush and more of a stable tweak. its molecular structure resembles cocaine more than amphetamine. amphetamine blocks dopamine reuptake and empties your dopamine reservoir, methylphenidate (ritalin) just aggressively blocks dopamine reuptake. they pair very well taken together, but in my opinion, amphetamine is the far superior molecule. I prefer the rush compared to the stable and mild(er) tweak.

I became a doctor without the aid of any of these drugs and my ADHD is so bad that our doctor once said that these drugs is one of only two options. Though I struggled with my disorder it didn't stop me from becoming among the top 5% of my class. These lazy students are bunch of wimps and lack the motivation to do their best without the aid of drugs.

Yeah i have really bad ADHD and Dexedrine/Adderall make me focus. I was on adderall and dexedrine is working alot stronger and better! 60 MG A day prescribed. I cant focus without it and i loose focus on a book in like 2 minutes.
I took 150mg of rit that my mate gave me and i stayed up for 42 hrs in the pitch black talking to my mates and pissing every 5 mins... Was a standard night ;)
I've never taken either of them, but i took vyvanse recently (70mg), expect i didn't do it to have a competitive edge, i did it cause i needed to focus so i actually pass my classes with something better than a 70.

Well when I did take Ritilin I would see more of a drastic change, but I never had a bad crash. I mean I took like 40 mg? I think and I was perfectly fine, I did work better, had a stronger hand in my academic field. All that. But the only thing was it'd make me feel as if I was.... Losing my personality and I just became less social. Like literally social awkward. But once I got off it I've had a great love life. So for me it comes down to social life or future. Which is a hard decision for me.

Dextro-amphetamine is just that, an amphetamine. I took it before work when I knew I had a lot work to do. my focus was really on, and I was really working great! I wait until I start coming down from it and take 5HTP and Valium. The 5HTP will rebuild the serotonin and dopamine pushed out way more than it is ever done naturally. Stay away from Dextro-Amphetamine unless you have narcolepsy in my opinion.

I remember taking it when i was a kid and i dont remember those side effects at all. The only side effect i can remember was my change in attitude. My cousin came up to me, after I've been taking it for a year, without seeing him, and he said I changed. The other thing was my class work actually got done. I always got incomplete school work for some reason but after taking this stuff I had so much extra time it was insane. I'm not on it now but I wonder if i should be.

I know so many people who buy that stuff it's ridiculous. I'm not going to lie, I took one last week for an exam and it helped TREMENDOUSLY. Was it the right thing to do? No, and I'm aware of that. But that is my business, and if I get caught that will be on my hands. I believe if you do decide to take Adderall ( hypothetically speaking ), at LEAST be aware of your health. Some people are "very" sensitive to even caffeine, and taking an Adderall could potentially harm you.

Your child may look tired and quiet, but believe me, his head is storming with ideas and theories that are formed by the second. Children presribed these excel in school for this very reason. It takes about two days for your body to return to it's normal state after coming off of it for good. There is literally nothing bad about this drug in any way, besides the loss of sleep at first, which can be avoided by taking it earlier. This drug is AMAZING for work and being productive, it literally makes work fun. Seriously. Adderall is basically long lasting cocaine with a stronger effect and less of a comedown, so if you have never taken this drug look into it. Don't forget to eat :D

I am a bonified tweaker. Tweaking is basically a reverse of being stoned. When you're tweaking you have this euphoric mania and a desire to do anything and everything you possibly can to the best of your ability. Now again, how is this a bad thing? Its been proven that taking adhd medication doesn't have any long term effects, and having a piece of paper given by a doctor doesn't change this or the drug's effects. It is addictive, very true, but not sleeping for two and a half days is not true.

@MrEngineerNasa ritalin actually has less of a rush and more of a stable tweak. its molecular structure resembles cocaine more than amphetamine. amphetamine blocks dopamine reuptake and empties your dopamine reservoir, methylphenidate (ritalin) just aggressively blocks dopamine reuptake. they pair very well taken together, but in my opinion, amphetamine is the far superior molecule. I prefer the rush compared to the stable and mild(er) tweak.

I became a doctor without the aid of any of these drugs and my ADHD is so bad that our doctor once said that these drugs is one of only two options. Though I struggled with my disorder it didn't stop me from becoming among the top 5% of my class. These lazy students are bunch of wimps and lack the motivation to do their best without the aid of drugs.

Well when I did take Ritilin I would see more of a drastic change, but I never had a bad crash. I mean I took like 40 mg? I think and I was perfectly fine, I did work better, had a stronger hand in my academic field. All that. But the only thing was it'd make me feel as if I was.... Losing my personality and I just became less social. Like literally social awkward. But once I got off it I've had a great love life. So for me it comes down to social life or future. Which is a hard decision for me.

Dextro-amphetamine is just that, an amphetamine. I took it before work when I knew I had a lot work to do. my focus was really on, and I was really working great! I wait until I start coming down from it and take 5HTP and Valium. The 5HTP will rebuild the serotonin and dopamine pushed out way more than it is ever done naturally. Stay away from Dextro-Amphetamine unless you have narcolepsy in my opinion.

I have had to face adhd since the 3rd grade, I have great difficulty functioning without the help of ritalin, the reason only people with a perscription should use this substance is that it is dangerous even to them and they need it.

this is a garbage report... they say its bad because its addictive and makes you have bad crashes, but alcohol has both and effects your body in much worse ways and its still legal. This is cheating because it makes you focus better? So i guess im cheating when i drink coffee too. Maybe if that fat pig cop took aderall instead of getting piss drunk when he was college age he wouldnt be a loser.
