  • First class seats look like coach and atleast put PTV's

  • I fly American Airlines religiously, I am sorry, but I am very disappointed in what I saw. It looks dated like the other other models. I am afraid, it looks as if I have been on it with those monitors and and was unimpressed. Do better! Cathay Pacific Coach B777 is way better than this,

  • What amenities?

  • AA sucks

  • How unimpressive

  • Looks very nice!

I have one complaint , AA has lost my luggage every time I've been to Cancun.... :(

  • Lol - Laptop slots so you can store your laptop while dining aboard the flight? If that was their idea of first class, I'm afraid to see what they serve to eat... Are Cheetos with juice box on the menu? Wow... Such a shame, I remember flying AA when I was a kid and it was so much better...

  • FAIL on every single air canada aircraft in cluding the tiny ones they all have personal tvs and av outlets

  • never never never fly AA coach - horror show - are u kidding me? Take a look at JetBlu and Virgin America for a LESSON on how 2 do it right! come on Van, you are a shill for crap airline.

  • I don't see much difference between First/Business and Economy ...

At least nothing which justifies the difference in price.

  • I though first class was economy class!

  • I only fly southwest

  • Awww, I like the MD-80 SO much better. Sure, the 737 may be a little more comfortable, but you can't beat the engines on the MD-80!

  • wow i might be flying this from DFW soon

  • I love JetBlue!!

  • BEAUTIFUL AIRPLANE

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome plane. Flew it recently coming home to Norway from Denmark.

  • You'll never see me if you don't fix up your shitty airline.

  • I was On It Man,, It's Nice, Very Nice, Can't Complain!

  • Their first class product sucks so hard! If I got stuck paying first class prices and wound up in one of those rickity seats, I'd request a cup of bleach so I could kill myself.

  • I thought the first class seat was the economy class!

  • american I love you but your IFE system and in-flight amenities are so out of date compared to delta and united/continental.

  • lol is that really first class? its gotta be from dallas to san ansotio though..

it cant be like from london to chicago, right?

  • @samhoe111 738 is a short domestic aircraft, so no, it won't go to London...

  • @coastercrutchfield ok thanks I recognized that:)

  • Garbage airline, period. Fly Virgin American way better

  • Why can't they get PTVs in all cabins!!!? on all flights? this si ridiculouds

  • Dear,

American Airlines I love your airline and i am a frquent flyer. But you fly thoes planes from the east coast to the west coast 5hr 45min you need to put avod/IFE in every seat but more importantly in first-class

    -Warm Regards

  • As much as people hate AA, I have never ever had an issue with them, they conduct business in a professional manner, and get me where I need to go, if I'm flying from El Paso to Dallas, do I honestly need a PTV for a 1hr flight? No, thats just ridiculous, find something more productive to do! Their planes are very very comfortable, and they have the best FF program out there for sure. American Airlines for life!

  • DALLAS!!!!!!!

  • Every 737-800 have AC Inputs ?

  • DL has had a 738 since 2000. How old is this video? DL has AC power in first class as well as USB in every row in the back. DL also has Wifi and Sat TV/VOD in every seat. There are some 73's still floating around that have not been converted yet but they are rare. AA is so far behind, they should have been doing something along time ago. This Dallas based "company ", should really redirect most of it's remaining funds on MTC .Than again they never really worried about that lol FLY DELTA JETS!!!

  • @Jason92103 AA has used th 738 since the 1990's, this is just the new version of it. If you hate AA so much, then why watch the video, and bother to comment?

  • cool viedo

  • american airlines = CRAP

  • FAIL

economy on air canada is better than this first class on american airlines

touch screen tvs on each seat on air canada

  • @titanicdisaster Depends what aircraft you're talking about! You can't compare and 747 400 with a 737!

  • @titanicdisaster wow american airlines first class sucks

  • @titanicdisaster hey Mr. Smartass, does Air Canada's 737 do that? I didn't think so. Try comparing the AA 777 vs's the Air Canada 777. I'm pretty damn sure no 737 has touch tv's. Go fly American Airlines 777 First class for 11 hours, trust me, you'll end up asking the pilot to fly around the world a few times, it's that amazing.

  • @titanicdisaster u fail you probably ignored the title which says 737-800 so there is really no first class, just economy class that costs more.

  • @titanicdisaster You can't see the touch screen T.Vs because the're facing the front of the seats!! And there are WAY more better airlines than Air Canada.

  • @nickelfilling1 Aperantly youve never flown AC

  • @Ke0V Actually, I have flown Air Canada. I was flying on a route from Ottawa to Vancouver in the economy class. Economy class is good but it doesn't reach the standard of this American Airlines 737-800 first class.

When you talk about first class and bussiness on an Air Canada international flight, to be honest, I can say it's pretty amazing!! And it's better than this American Airlines 737-800 first class!!

  • @Ke0V and that WestJet was more expensive we had to go with Air Canada. But mainly the bottom line is, it doesn't matter which class is better or not or which airline is better or not. It just depends that the crew serves well with a smile on their face and that when there is an emergency and you needed to get out they would say:''After you."

  • @Ke0V And also to be honest, I wouldn't recommend Air Canada to people. Like if I had to choose between Air Canada and Virgin Atlantic for a flight to London, England I'd choose Virgin Atlantic because their classes are better and the service is better. On Air Canada you have to pay for the food and drinks and the service is okay but I wouldn't it's better than Virgin Atlantic. But Air Canada is okay and that it was the only one that had a route from Ottawa to Vancouver..........

  • @nickelfilling1 Hey I would rather fly VA more than AC but VA is an amazing airline and we were talikng here about AA and AC whats better? AC.

  • @Ke0V Well, okay you're right. We were talking which was better and I have to be honest, I would vote Air Canada. But Air Canada isn't the best airline in the world. I would vote Singapore Airlines as the best airline in the world. The airlines in Asia are the best in the world and most of them are 5 star airlines compared to Air Canada which is only a 3 star airline. Air Canada beats American Airlines and I would probably use AC to around North America but my most preffered airline is SA.

  • Comment removed

  • @titanicdisaster Yeah it sucks, but so does Air Canda. Look at emirates, singapore, lufthansa cabins! All north american airlines are horrible

  • @titanicdisaster Thats so true! ACs first class on domestic routes is amazing to!

  • @titanicdisaster haha fail our standard seats in most of our aircraft have touch screens...

  • Comment removed

  • look, I've flown AA for long haul routes (more than 6 hours), if I compare it to the Airline thats based in My country (Chile, in this case would be LAN), AA really sucks in what matters to passenger comfort in Main Cabin, they do not have PTV's or thing like that, their service is awful, they sell you drinks and they serve meals in plastic, we can talk a lot of Bs about AA.

But the good thing they have, is that they've proven to be a responsible Airline

  • Every single time I-ve flown with them I've had no cancellations, and very few delays if we can say, because of my flight delayed more than 2 hours AA gave me a nice compensation (Not a meal voucher, but an Admirals Club invite).

AA may be cheap, but they do know how to comply with their passengers flying overseas or that are connecting to other flights!

    Way to go AA.

PS: Best USA based airline to be responsible and not a piece of Shit

  • Nice plane but no where near as spacious as the 767. I'm rather disappointed because I have a First Class booking on flight 1994 from SFO to DFW in April. At the time of booking, the aircraft was 767 with flat beds. I've recently been on AA.com and now see the flight is served by 737-800 - now with fewer First seats, single aisle and no flat beds. What is AA's rationale behind this decision?

  • @ephemeralprotagonist There is no need for such a large aircraft on a domestic flight, at most SFO-DFW is two hours, a standard domestic recliner seat is all that is needed. In domestic terms, this is a short hop, and a widebody with flagship service is not needed. It is a perfectly rational decision.

  • it would be nice to have screens in the back of the seats.

  • @longlivethe80s yeah. NOTHING here in britain has PTVs. and the whole plane is single-class (expect for BA)

  • 737s are so underrated. Excellent decision AA on going with these over the 320. Want to give me a job flying them in a couple years? Already have 100 hours!

  • Comment removed

  • It would be nice if they flew 738 to TUS I am getting very board of MD80's!

Remember AA we have your operations center

  • @USflying Scratch that AA Call Center

  • We should all be happy that they are putting IFE on not fighting about it!

  • Qantas' new 737-800s are being delivered for domestic flights and trans-Tasman flights. They have personal TVs. With the new iQ entertainment system. And not for flights like 5 hours long. I'm speaking of short hops. Why not just put that on those seats?

The Qantas ones also have adjustable headrests in Economy, and power outlets.

  • @SouthAfricanAirways1 Because they are a different country, and the needs for Australians may be different from Americans. Also, Qantas is a 4-star airline. American is a 3-star airline.

  • @scaremengaviation So? Because its three-star, AA should strive to improve the passenger experience. And as for needs...well, passenger don't NEED PTVs. But they are starting to realise that there is more fun AND comfort on flights with modern cabins.

  • @SouthAfricanAirways1 Why should American care to improve the experience when they are just fine the way they are? If passengers moan and groan about being board, they can fly Delta, Airtran, jetBlue, etc. They have choices. And enough people choose AA, that they don't need to put in PTV's for everybody. Of course there is more fun, but that means shit.

  • @scaremengaviation So what you're saying, is AA should stay behind and NOT make people more comfortable while more and more people fly Frontier, Delta, jetBlue even Continental- OH! United sorry.

So you would settle for second best, in other words, you would settle for AA and not be as comfortable as on Delta? I think AA isn't very good because of the entertainment. They fly the right equipment, but, all of it is out-dated.

  • @SouthAfricanAirways1 American is one of the largest carriers in the world, and that is not going to change any time soon. You make it seem like Frontier and jetBlue are threatening to become top-dog. Not even Delta/United-CO can do so, they each have their own markets. People are forced to fly with each carrier based on where they want to go. They're in the green, so why fix something that doesn't need to be fixed?

  • @SouthAfricanAirways1 That's what you think. And if AA's fares are lower than DL's I have no problem flying with them. Do you really think when it comes down to it, a person will choose Airline A over Airline B just because of the IFE offered, without regards to trip cost? Please, not during this recession.

Who are you to say that they fly all the right equipment? The only people with enough merit to make such a bullshitted comment are the AA financiers. Are you one? Doubt it.

  • The seats in first class are just like coach on Amtrak. They even recline, big deal! But with NO leg rests! The coach secton still looks like Greyhound bus seats!! First class on a long distance train is a private room! I wouldn't trade that for air travel which now is out of date because of the high cost of fuel.

  • i have a question what plane flys to mexico city?

  • you gotta have personal lcd tvs man.

  • Comment removed

  • @anurek123 Why?

  • @scaremengaviation for infotainment

  • @scaremengaviation its the industry standard. you can assume not everyone is carrying a laptop or an ipod with them. if that plane is being used for very short flights then its okay for not having them. but if it flies more than 2 hours people get just bored sitting right there doing nothing. personal IFE system keeps passengers entertained and destressed.

  • @anurek123 So. They NEED to equip all of their aircraft with IFE just because YOU think so? Obviously, they opted not to install it for a number of reasons. AA is a multi-billion dollar corporation, do you really think they'd choose not to install IFE just so that they can laugh at their un-entertained passengers?

  • @anurek123 And obviously this "bad" decision hasn't had an effect on AA, because passenger volume has not decreased. So, who cares if they're not entertained? If it's an industry standard than why does Alaska, United, Southwest, Hawaiian, and US Airways not equip their domestic fleets with PTV's? Sure, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, etc. do. But it shows a clear split, indicative of anything BUT an industry "standard".

  • @scaremengaviation i guess they have the new 10" inch overhead displays. so its not that bad. and its gonna be used for short haul flights obviously so anyways.... but it would be nice to have AVOD on a personal display.

few questions for AA does the business class get their own PTVs??

and what about mood lighting? is this the new 737-800 NG?

  • @anurek123 Niceties aren't necessary. AA does not have PTV's in the 738 V.1 or V.2 layouts. I believe the new-build 738's coming much later in the year will have the new Boeing Sky Interior, which have some form of mood lighting.

  • @anurek123 Hopefully, two hour flights will be replaced with one hour or less train rides. The short flights should be gone in a few years victim of industry mergers, bankruptcys and the high cost of fuel. Which will kill most air service even with all the governement hand outs to the industry.

  • no personal lcd tv thats just sad.

  • @anurek123 no it is not sad it is good because then AA doesn't have to waste any extra money putting your little personal tv on these planes! Only AA B777 flight have personal tvs and those are international flights

  • i flew on this plane

  • une tres bonne démo de la cabine par un PNC

  • I'm gonna be on a 737-800 with AA soon, flying BWI-MIA. :)

  • HOW ABOUT THAT JERK FROM JETBLUE?

  • i love you 737-800

  • for the main cabin, are there outlets on every seat? i know that its on every row.

  • I am surprised that these brand new aircraft do not have individual in-seat video.

  • the boeing737 has a good safety record and flighing with american airlines its more safer than it u to be american airlines has good servise good for good seat to sleep in and is very good american airlines is like the best airline u ever been on american airlines #1

  • AA is a great airline. It's one of the few that gives second, third or upteenth chances to alcoholics and drug addicts flight crews, pays entirely for their rehabilitation, then puts them in front of the public again. Even pedophiles get reinstated, of course it all depends on your skin color of course. Their planes are some of the safest in the air. Cracks that can make an engine fall off midflight? WTF?

  • AA interior on a 757 is great.

took one from london to new york in economy. 2 fat seats next to the window..i felt i am in buissness.

not like in british air-sardine air

  • Love AA but they need to seriously upgrade their planes interior

  • Why are people still acting like entitled babies? It's not the 1960's anymore. Airlines in the US are strapped for cash, and have to maintaint their huge fleets. Fuel costs are outrageous, and the economy is down so the big carriers like AA, Delta and UA are all having trouble making ends meet. You can blame deregulation also. That ruined airtravel in the US forever. Gee, thanks Jimmy Carter you fag. As for the Flight attendants, yeah they can be nicer but we shouldn't expect to be pampered.

  • i think it will b better if each seat had thiere own t.v cuz i know my neck will b killin for lookin up jus to watch n to share a t.v too wat if u n the person next to u dont like the same channel wat r u goin to do

  • american airlines SUCKS

    jetBlue FTW!

  • needs cable

  • well you should buy some airbus or something new because i sppot in miami international and all you see is 737 757 767 ,,and sometimes 77

  • @luislaurencio AA is staying all boeing

  • not ganna lie my seat didnt lie back and im not ganna have the lady try to fix it cause it willcause commotion.... honestly how bout u flight attendants actually make sure the seats work b4 the passenegers board the plane

  • I wish Alaska Airlines would spend some money to get planes with electrical plug-ins like this one

  • It kind of surprised me that they don't have in seat screens. Also I would NOT put my laptop in that holder. Imagine how much food and things will collect at the bottom! I do like that every seat has lift up armrests though. As a wheelchair user with a guide/service dog I always get put in the bulkhead row but the armrests never seem to lift up so I have to transfer up and over them.

  • Woweee xx

  • there replaceing MD80s with Boeing 737 800.

  • American Airlines-- You are great, and I respect you for your ability to maintain success after all the criticism you may have received. I choose to only fly you on all of my domestic routes in the U.S. and I so far haven't regretted the choice. Please, continue doing a great job! (Hey, while you're at it, why don't you add a few more daily flights in and out of KSTL, we could really use the help!)

  • I'm starting to see these replace the Mad Dogs at my home airport, Chicago O'Hare. I'm gonna miss the t-tails but I gotta tell ya, I love Next Gen 737s haha. Good job American!

  • A question I have....do the Coach seats on the 763 aircrafts (international flight to London) have movable armrests? Again, the coach seats.

  • #LOL @ first class

  • ya americanairlines u should try to compete with virgin america or w/e that airline is.. they seem like they have nice service everywhere

  • American Airlines (ALL) don't really know the term luxury.... only Asian Airlines really offer luxurious and excellent service... American Airlines (ALL) aircrafts are design to carry passengers and thats all.... nothing else no bar no showers no anything!

  • r u getting tv's on the back of your seats soon?

  • Great video. Is American Airlines getting tv's on the back of there seats on all there planes soon?

  • Do the 767s and 777s have the PTVS on each seat?

  • @SonicRaptorX not sure about the 777 but i know the 767 dont have them

  • They also have safety life rafts on the ceiling.

  • Rode one both ways. It's the best domestic plane I've road on, loved the power outlets when I rode in coach. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping my battery level full, and can charge the whole flight! It's a dream come true having power outlets!!

  • Rode one both ways. It's the best domestic plane I've road on, loved the power outlets when I rode in coach. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping my battery level full, and can charge the whole flight! It's a dream come true having power outlets!!

  • I just came back from one of those flights, In coach you also have two eletric socets in each row underneath the seats. Kept my computer charged the whole flight, loved it!!!

  • I still like the 777's much better.

  • Comment removed

  • Looks nice, but the Airbus A320 and A321 cabins still look less cramped to me.

  • the a320 is alot cramped than 737 i work on the 737s for american i used to work for united and on the a320

  • no personal flight entertainment =.= and i heard only two airlines opted this interior design

  • no personal t.v.'s :s

  • It is pretty cool because it has 2 b 2 rows instead of 3 by 3

  • Ameican Airlines - check out what the ground crew do -

    search for

    Ameican Airlines mattofilms

  • This is all good and nice, however, Delta has seat-back entertainment on domestic flights...

  • Go American! You guys blow the other guys away!

  • not badd for domestic, the LCDs are nice and i like the power outlets (now if only internet would be free......) xD

  • Yea but southwest dosent feel like an airline

  • i flew on 1 of those on the 3rdof september from jfk to barbados

  • sure is alot better than southwest -_-

  • The cabin is perfectly acceptable for a domestic aircraft.

  • Deadingsmac, these 737s are used for flights that don't require much sleeping! At AA we strive for great customer experience. Thanks for your note.

  • @americanairlines

Are you kidding us? they charge you for luggage on domestic flights!!!!!, on economy they don´t give you food anymore unless you pay for it !!! and you are still using MD80 airplanes.

  • @americanairlines i agree with that...Deadingsmac it seems you dont know what your talking about

  • @americanairlines ya no offense deaingsmac ur a dumb ass...... its a 737 not a 777 u piece of shit.... sorry for the language, but even in the better airlines like emirates and british airways on their 737s or smaller airbus, they dont have lie flat seats on their first class. its only the longer haul flights with the lie flat seats

  • @americanairlines

I have travelled in other airlines such as Avianca, and they had a great entertainment system, with a personal screen for each passenger, usb ports, games, movies, etc.

Does AA count with this too?? Just asking no offense intended, because i am travelling next month to Miami in an airbus so...

  • @americanairlines the airplane looks nice and everything but.... Iam going to miss the MD-80 soo much :'( whenever i fly AA the MD-80 is kinda the highlight of it all... theres nothing like flying into DFW and seeing hundreds of those beautiful planes </3

  • @camcamepictv with you on that one, its the highlight of my trip to fly on those Super 80's. I guess I'm just lucky that my home airport is only served by those S80's.

  • They are not going to put lie flat seats in a 737. This aircraft is only for domestic destinations. If you want lie flat seats, try American Airlines' 777.

  • Its a 737. The only 737s with beds would be private aircraft owned by the wealthy.

  • @Deadingsmac your an idiot, this is a domestic plane. AA's international planes DO have flat beds there are no domestic aircraft that have flat beds anywhere except private jets.

  • @Deadingsmac No 737 on ANY airline has reclining seats. American long-range planes do have reclining seats.

  • @Deadingsmac This is a 737-800 NOT a 777 / 767 / A380 / 747 ect.

This is a aircraft for Short to Medium haul flights. They fly on flights about a hour long to about five in most cases. You don't need flatbeds.

  • @Deadingsmac Brithish Airways have fat and unfriendly cabin attendant, food is crap, and cleaning provided out of london much to be improved. A boeing 737-800 is a medium haul aircraft.... I doubt any of the airlines you mentioned have "flat beds" for short flights. I agree american airlines is not the best airline, and their crews have absolutely no idea about personal grooming and appearence, but the aircraft on that vid is really nice.

  • @Deadingsmac yea? try flying on the American 777. Then you'll take back what you just said. 777 AMAZING!

  • @Deadingsmac one word IGNORANT. have u ever heard of somthing called economy... i noticed u didnt name any unitd states airlines... u probably just dont even like us...PERIOD... people like u make me laugh.

  • @Deadingsmac well, noone wants to pay 2200 dollars for a flight.

  • @Deadingsmac it's a 737. it flies short domestic routes. don't be such a retard.

  • @scorpian865 FUCK YOU! hes right, even the e-190 jets for super short-haul planes in air canada have PTV, they are very comfortable. In your case, this 737s are used for flights up to 4 hours long, with no fucking personal tv! fukck you retarded asshole, even continental and delta have personal TVs in their 737-800, 757 etc. CLEARLY american airlines should be thrown to the trash, cmon their 767 for 11 hour flights have the same seats as the 737, AA CANT CALL THEMSELVES A "WORLD CLASS" AIRLINE.

  • @patrikplanefan97 you sir are retarded dont you get american airlines dont give a crap abot your comfort? they just care about your money! your not gonna find the best seats for first class on a 737 for short routes try flying an american 777 best class, and by the way they are world class they are one of the richest airlines the 4 largest in the world they avoided bankruptcy while many airlines had to declare it!!!

  • @patrikplanefan97 sure the aa 737s suck really bad compared to delta air canada etc. but the united 747s which go up to 13 hour flights have no ptvs in economy. the little overhead screens are literally thicker than the actual screen is and the little projectons are really crappy and broke down 3 times over the flight. shame on you united!!!

  • @scorpian865 You call a 4 hour flight LAS-JFK a short domestic route??? Who's the retard now??

  • @scorpian865 On Delta the 737-7 & 737-8 there are PTV'S too, so bad excuse.

  • aa sucks balls i fly to 12 different destinations every month for my business job. My father is a retired airline critic he told me how bad aa was i saw it for myself. try swiss or singapore i reccomened them tremendously

  • im going to fly in 1 of these tomorrow

  • hey southamerican 888, that's bullshit because american airlines have never had a straight fly from newark to peru dummy

  • dis aint true i was just on a 737-800 and they didnt have none of that shit

  • YA CANADA!

  • who cares about air canada!

  • canadians.

  • travelboy21 you have it wrong it isnt the best airline in the globe and plus liat better than it self aa buisness just going down soo clubsy soo shut your damn mouth padnah and with almost everything southamerican888 says is true :P:)

  • boy this airline really sucks~

  • Dear All,

I have some humble questions about sociology:

*Why does aviation technology and development is so advance in USA?

*How does flying related to lifestyle of Americans?

*How does the Americans Values related to aviation advancement in USA?

*Does Americans enjoy flying because of the feeling of freedom in the sky?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • Go AA!

  • AA has the worst safety record! 30 passengers per route lost!

  • Dear American Airlines... Please give my daddy more seat room so that he doesn't die from economy class syndrome when we visit Disney world. My daddy wants to know why you pack so many fat Americans in those small seats. We aren't in Japan! Daddy says if you charge him for a pillow he will choke a flight attendant. Thank you.
