  • Thanks for posting!

I dont remember where I 1st saw this video, but several years later the song got stuck in my head out of the blue. That day I HAD to go to Wendy's & get 2 triples with cheese, ketchup, pickles, & onions (3/4 lb beef each), large fries & a Frosty. I got sick, but it was worth it.

2 triple cheese side order of fries.

  • what was turkey TV and when did it air? anyone remember?

  • @RubicantX - Turkey TV was a show on Nickelodeon back from around 1985-1987 that would show comedy sketches from around the world. They used to play this, Fish Heads, and Blotto's "I Wanna Be A Lifeguard" quite often. They also used to play alot of Dana Carvey before he made it big on SNL.

  • @Diskoboy1974 NOW I remember! That was on during the era with DangerMouse, Belle and Sebastian, National Geographic Presents, Out of Control, and YCDTOTV...Thanks for the refresher!

  • @Diskoboy1974 I certainly remember that show a lot. It was kinda like a predecessor to a later show Comedy Central use to do called "Short Attention Span Theater".

  • My mom used to play this for me when I was 2 or 3 years old back around 1981- it scarred me for life and I never forgot it! I still think it is totally awesome though...totally awesome video!!! Thanks for bringing back serious memories! :)

  • HOLY COW! I kid you not I've been looking for this video for over 20 years! THANK YOU YOUTUBERS!

  • These effects aren't very special.

  • I wonder if the hamburger stand down at Park & Grand still exists?

  • I first heard this in 1979 on MTV [Los Angeles area only] which was the test area for MTV. What a trip.

  • Kwik-Way just re-opened last Friday. this video shows you how creative VideoWest was back in the 80s, and without digital effects!

  • I, too, remember this from Turkey TV. But there was another music vid they've shown featuring a guy in a tomato costume who sang then chased people with a giant knife at the end. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

  • The first time I saw that video was from Turkey Television. TYVM!!!!:)

  • Wish I had one of those "Where the hell is Detroit?" shirts. Anyone know where I can find one?

  • This is why America is so great: straight up, no holds barred, fun loving ROCK and fuckin' ROLL!!! Spread the gospel my brothers!

  • Oh MAN, what a blast from the past! I used to love this video, thanks so much for posting! It's been like 20-some years since I saw it. Now all I need is a fistful of quarters and the local arcade that used to be a block away (now replaced by a shopping center, as usual.) Thanks for a little slice of the 80's again!

  • @Shawnster65 Yeah,an they are all white haired now!(Like this too-old-and-in-the way slob)

  • Awesome post!!! Thanks for uploading!!!

  • Wow I hadn't seen this video in years! I also remember it from Turkey TV.

  • I can feel the grease drippin' down my thighs! Two Triple Cheese side order of fries.

  • i remember this sone quite well, fun tune. i heard it on Turkey TV back in the 80sas well.

  • yeah, i was there that day...and i even took a shot of Cody with the burgers in the trunk that ran in Rolling Stone...that was my fav burger joint in S.F.....the Tick-Tock on Third.....just south of PacBell.......

  • Late nights Nickelodeon Turkey TV.... Better than Night Flight for us Stoners!!! Hey lets all go to Wendys !!!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!! IT LIVES!!!! Remember the video game Burgertime? Ode to the burger rocks!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT! IT LIVES!!!!

TWO TRIPLE CHEESE SIDE ORDER OF FRIES FTW!!!!!! Saw this video once a long time ago and never forgot it.

  • I think the budget on this was $50 and they could keep whatever was left over.

  • PROBABLY THEE BEST VIDEO EVER......

  • In 1979, before MTV, us San Francisco Bay Area kids watched Videowest. Hungry for early punk and new wave, we were satisfied. But "that old guy" Commander Cody gave us indigestion. I swear they aired this video every week. A couple decades later, I find it pretty cheestastic!

  • Best Video ever!!!

I think the deal was they had a $50 budget and could keep whatever was left over.

  • Still funnier then crap! This is the anthem for the hamburger.

  • Saw this on the old MTV back in the early 80's was funny then, still funny now

  • I used to jam to this on Turkey TV on Nickelodien.

  • Same here. used to piss my mom off, because everytime they played it I would crank the volume. :))

  • Does anybody remember another vid from the same era, prob "turkey tv" too, that was a girl singer. Something like, "he was a monkey man, tried to tell me what to do". I'd love to find that one.

  • Yay thanks! I did a little volunteer work for VideoWest while in high school, and have special memories of it and the show.

  • Damn, this brings back some memories.Back when Mtv still played music videos and was like a 24 hour B movie with a cool soundtrack. Not to sound wistful, but I kinda miss the 80's.

  • Wow, suddenly it's 1980 again and MTV is a year away. Favorite is the dancing french fries! Too bad they stopped making videos like this. You know--without dancing.

  • Totally! The dancing french fries at the end is my favorite part too. And was that giant french fry guitar in the middle? *groans* So silly.

  • OMG talk about strolling down memory lane..I LOVED THIS

  • I moved to Oakland 69,got booze under age at 45th and Grove, then went up to skyline and the Monkey tree's-got the munchies and headed for Lakeshore and two tripple cheese side order a frie's. Been there ate that.Love the memories, and thanks for the Vidio!!! Now More!

  • Holy crap, I forgot this existed until I saw it in the search results!

  • I've been searching for this for years!

  • Oh man - THANKS for posting this.

This was the first video I ever worked on. I was 14 years old.

I made most of those french fry buildings.

That's my dog at 1:45. RIP, Liz.

  • your awesome dude!! great video!!!

  • Wasn't this video on some animation collection that they used to show on Showtime or HBO? I want to find that. Does anyone know where I can get a DVD of that show?

  • The only place I ever saw it was on Nickelodeon's "Turkey Television" show back in the day...maybe 1985-86 if I remember correctly. I can still sing this song verbatim today ;) FYI...the copy I have of my VHS collection from Turkey TV has a copyright date at the end of 1980 on it. Hey Joe...maybe a DVD should go in the works for all us fans!

  • The burgers looked pink and uncooked, the fries looked like they were frozen, and the cola pouring into the cup looked flat. But still I loved seeing this video as a kid and it makes me laugh all the time. :)

  • Thank you for this video. THis song was going through my head all day at work today and everyone was looking at me wierd. I had to get to youtube to see if it was here. You made my day:):) WHAT GOES IN THE PADDIES IS KNOW ONLY TO THE BOSS!!!!!!

  • Kwik Way burgers were awful.

  • You didn't go to KwikWay for the burgers... you went for the delicious grease-drenched fries! Sheesh!

  • I use to think this video was just something I imagined or hallucinated or something. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! This video brought back memories. Don't ever get rid of this!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video which I haven't seen in forever, since seeing it on Nickelodeon's Turkey Television from the mid-80s. This is probably the best song about food that Weird Al didn't do! :)

    -MINESWEEP

  • My exact thoughts, it was posted earlier and then deleted. Closet you can get here in the Bay Area is George's Hamburgers in Walnut Creek

  • No way, man, Juicy Burger FTW. Make sure you go to the one in San Jose though, the one in Sunnyvale is run by a terrifying Greek lady.

  • What's also cool about this & thanks for uploading it, is that that's Oakland's Kwik-Way fast foodery, a real dinosaur, which has gone extinct. I have their drive up sign. Yowza!

  • Finally a Turkey TV video back to life! Yes! I cn' feel the grease drippin' DOWN mah THIGHS!

  • More videos should have a person playing a giant french fry.
