Just for clarification, Mapex Meridians come with Remo UT Pinstripe heads. Its not quite the same as the Remo Pinstripe. To keep the cost of the Meridian drums lower, they don't install USA-made Pinstripes. It's not a biggie considering most drummers plan on changing heads at some time down the road, whether it's to go single-ply, coated, Powerstroke, Ebony, CS dot, Evans, Aquarian, or whatever else.
@AAI6718 this is true, however, compared to other brands Mapex if playable right out of the box with no need to change heads. The pinstripes that come factory whether UT or not are much better th an most all other manufacturers stock heads. Thanks!
why the snare buzz sound more when i hit the 12 tom and not the 10 tom? i have it tuned it with a drumdial the 12'' 75 batter 75 resonant and the 10'' tom 75 batter 75 resonant thanks i have a mapex meridian maple
@lank880 I know it's a little late, but I think it's more just to do with frequency, if you whistle into the bottom of your snare, change pitch a little and you'll notice it buzzes most at a certain frequency.
well when you get more familiar with your product you will know that mapex meridian maples come OUT OF THE FACTORY with remo pinstripes not some 'stock mapex head' they just have the mapex logo on them. Thanks for trying
