Most of your photos are not from the city of London but London. They are two different entities. The City as it is known is only 1 square mile.

The City (as it is known) is the old roman town of Londinium - It is now the financial district within London. The city is its own entity with its own Lord Mayor (who has to sacrafice power when the queen enters the city by providing her with his sword - yes still happens to this day) The City also has its own police force (City of London Police) the rest of London is policed by the Metropolitan police. The city of London and the City of Wesminster both make up what we now call London.
